Thx Bruce O.!!! Finally made it here!!47 foot pepper has been on my list for over a year! Finally made it!! The chile pepper is accessible and free to hotel guests and visitors alike.Things you wish you knew and now you do! The inn actually predates the giant mimetic capsicum plopped in its parking lot. In the 1960s, the motel was a traditional Ramada Inn. Clint Eastwood once stayed there while filming Hang Em' High, and memorabilia from the shoot can be found in the lobby. By 2010, the hotel had gone independent, and was looking for a new way to stand out. Then-owner David Girle, an engineer from Australia, had friends in the Disney scene, so they together they imagineered the 47-foot chile behemoth out of two-and-a-half tons of concrete.

We came straight to big Chile expecting to be looking all over town but I fell in love with this place.... The people in this place are amazing... I appreciate everyone's kindness... I was happy to see a dog run in back of the property.... Thanks I highly recommend starting longer than 5 days

Super friendly, good rates, huge rooms. In a town where apartment leases are always for a year, Big Chile Inn fills a vital niche.

I have to say this is the worst place I have ever stayed at, I'm No even over exaggerating. So I came up here and my truck broke down alright cool I can deal with that. I found a hotel across the street from the automotive shop that looked decent. I decided to get a room at the Big Chili Inn for two nights. 1st night granted it was my fault I got locked out of my room. I called and called and called come to find out there is No absolutely No over night clerk, so I slept in my truck. Well the next the next night I was getting some sleep and I woke up to my truck broke into thank goodness I didn't have any important paperwork in there but they did take my grandsons swing, my system and my clothes worst time I've ever had. I do have one good thing I have to say though the day clerk he was actually really cool and concerned made sure the owner knew about everything and very apologetic so that was cool

Like I said we had to leave on an emergency and was at this hotel 20 min. The owner STILL charged us a full night. Shame on you .also again it's not for everyone .i do not like creepy people staying where I am sleeping. If you have kids I don't think you would be comfortable, I know I wouldn't. WE DID NOT USE THE BED. As YOU no we checked IN and CHEKED out within 20 min. And the side of town is sketchy. Shame on you for trying to charge my credit card.

I was very happy with my stay at the Big Chile Inn. I really enjoyed the friendly, supportive staff here. They really go the extra mile to make sure the guests feel safe. As long as you aren't here to make trouble. Sure the rooms may be a little outdated, but overall, I have enjoyed having a room here, and it was worth every penny I paid for it because I appreciate the way the staff does such a great job to support their guests. Sometimes you have to see past the little details in order to find what really matters. Made for a very productive and comfortable stay. It really made my travels to be able to enjoy a room here.I would recommend Big Chile Inn to friends and family. Thank you for everything! I will always come back to the Big Chile Inn whenever I am in town. I'd say, out of all the hotels on the block this is the place to be!

We appreciate the spacious, comfortable rooms, relaxing and playing a game of chess in the lobby, feeding the koi in the pond and the awesome view of the Organ Mountains. The front desk, housekeeping and maintenance staff all make an effort to assure a pleasant stay. There is an added layer of comfort and security knowing that the gates to the parking lot are closed at night. It is close to good restaurants, a world class museum and awesome nature parks. We have stayed before and probably will again.

I have always enjoyed staying here. The staff is friendly and makes me feel safe. I will always come back. I hope to return this winter! Miss you all!
