Boarded my mom cat there, they went above to make sure he was comfortable. I had to extend the time and they were able to accommodate him while I took care of my mother. I would use them again.

My dog hates being groomed, but loves this place and comes out looking like a king. Great people and really healthy/dogs-love-it treats and food. Highly recommended. You and your dog will be happy!

Better Life Pet Store is almost hidden in a bunch of big box stores. I had to reference the store behind a hamburger chain. What differentiates this small pet store is the bulk food of dog treats. Also, boarding is available, which makes the hidden location ideal for dogs who need some quiet time. Because it's a local store, the prices are a little high. However, the staff is very friendly to pets and their owner.

Friendly, helpful staff. Lots of food (and treat) choices for dogs and cats, even those with unusual dietary needs. Reasonable prices given the level of service. Shop with your pet, but be forewarned that there may be a cat or two wandering about the store. Worry not. They'll maintain their distance if needed.There's also a "feline bed and breakfast" and a dog wash on the premises. A second location at 315 Telshor.

Brought my full Pomeranian in Jan 24th of 2025 at 2:20pm and the cashier with a green Christmas sweater Morgan ( light complected, colored eyes) asked if my full Pomeranian was a chihuahua... almost seemed like she was just trying to hate for no reason, I said he was a Pom and that was the first time I had ever gotten that and she continued to explain how they groomed poms all the time and how he looked like a chihuahua and nothing like a Pomeranian. I explained that poms can have different looks and I groomed him myself and her tone just seemed argumentative and smart almost like a "yeah yeah whatever" but still combative and passive aggressive. anyway, I tried to get her name and her coworker denied to tell me because she knew I was bothered so I asked her/"morgan" herself and she then proceeded to apologize, her tone/demeanor then completely changed. Anyway, made me feel upset to the point where I'm writing a review and I never do so. The shop itself was not bad and there was a sweet older lady working there which made this experience a bit better. Just for her I will give it 2 stars.

Brought my Australian shepherd in twice. Both times in spite of verbal & written instructions, the groomer shaved his tail to look like a weimaraner's tail. Second time especially degrading as front desk attendant pulled his card, read the instructions out loud & left the card on the grooming salon counter. NO ONE ELSE cared enough to read the card. Have not & will not darken their doors again.

I love this place. The prices are decent , the people who work there are always very nice and welcoming, I like it because I'm supporting small businesses as well.

I absolutely love this place. The groomers are the best, and all the staff is so friendly.

Been here a few times to the self wash station for my little dog. Today I decided to go and get my his nails trimmed there. I understand dogs could be hard to handle especially when trimming their nails. But the response from the groomer was disgusting. She was yelling and screaming at my dog. I could hear her as for everyone else in the building. Disappointing that she decided to treat my animal this way. Will never come back here. Especially after she raised her voice at me saying " I should've told her she needed 2 groomers to help with the job".Absolutely zero professionalism in this building. And seems from past reviews this wasn't the first time she's acted this way towards the customers and their animals.

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but I love this small pet store. I drive an hour away because of the service and selection. Best in the area! Huge selection of food and treats, with lots of healthy options. If they don't have what you need they can special order it in. The staff is always friendly and awesome. The groomers are great as well. My labradoodle always comes home looking handsome as ever!!
