I have been a AAA member for over twenty years. Best is one of the primary towing Contractor's for AAA in El Paso. Over the past ten years Best has come to give me a "hot shot" several times on hyper cold days. I have always found their personnel to be polite and professional. Last week my car "died" on Border Highway. A cooling hose broke and steam was everywhere. We pulled over and called AAA at 11:15 a.m. Through a variety of errors we were on the phone with AAA customer service at 1:00. We still had no tow truck. It was 91 degrees. Apparently the El Paso Police commandeered the tow truck originally sent to help us to remove a car from a crash blocking traffic. At 1:20 we spoke with AAA. A Best tow truck was coming to assist us; yet it was a half hour away At 1:50 our Best Tow Truck pulled up. Robert was the driver and he was truly our "knight in shining armor". He had been dispatched from Horizon City yet made it to Border Highway near downtown in less than a half hour. We were returning from a Hospital in Juarez where my wife had lab tests which required fasting. Between the bridge wait time and the breakdown; my wife had not eaten in 17 hours I had concerns about my wife possibly passing out in route to the mechanics shop. Robert had both bottled water and donuts which he offered immediately (Before I could ask if we could stop at a convenience store in route) Talk about "going the extra mile"Robert could not have been more helpful. He assisted my wife into the air conditioned cab and went about hooking up our car. I have an older car and Robert cared for it as if it was a brand new Mercedes. He worked quickly yet double checked everything. Most of us will only meet perhaps a half dozen people in our lifetime who have the customer service skills of Robert. No with towing you normally don't think of "customer service"; yet when it really counts; we are blessed that there are towing firms like Best and tow truck drivers like Robert who will come to our assistance. If you need a tow and you are not in AAA: Best would be the only tow firm in El Paso I would ever consider

With all of the construction going on the West side of El Paso my car broke down right after the barriers on the entrance ram of Sunland Park to I-10. I was able to pull over so the car was totally not blocking traffic. I asked that the car be towed to my house off of Chermont. The cost was $65.00. Is this normal? Am I paying more because of the construction. The car was a Hyundai Accent not a big car. The call to the towing was around 1:30 p.m. but it did not get to the house until after 4:00 p.m. Not very happy with the service.
