So far check-in was easy. I wish I could have checked in before 3 though. I have a nice room with a king-sized bed. Breakfast tomorrow is 6-9 am. Then I will get a taxi to where I need to go.

**01/04/2024 - manage your expectations. This is a Best Western, not the Ritz. They are obviously really trying hard to update this hotel as they are able to and they have made incredible progress. The hotel is huge, the lobby is beautiful, the bar is beautiful, the breakfast room is large with ample offerings (and it's delicious!), there is a restaurant that connects, the pool is wonderful, they have a gym (maybe 2?), they have pet friendly rooms that don't have carpet and their front desk staff is super nice and welcoming. Yes, the rooms are obviously next on the list to all be renovated and they've done some repairs and band-aided some things to get by. They have already renovated some of the rooms and they are great! Hotel rooms cost a lot to renovate because not only do they have to spare the expense of the renovations, they are also losing money by having to block those rooms from being reserved for months at a time. It's not an overnight job and takes a lot of strategic planning. This hotel is absolutely fabulous for an overnight stay. There is ample parking, the shower is hot, the bed and pillows are comfy, everything in the room works, the door locks, the plugs work, the Wi-Fi works, it's cozy and safe. There is quite literally nothing more than that that you need for an overnight stay or a place to sleep for a few days while visiting the area. If you are looking for a hotel that is a "getaway experience", spend $50-$100 more per night and go stay at a 5 star hotel. We would stay here again and we recommend it for those travelers who need a place to stop in El Paso!

Checked in on 3/20/2023. The front desk had a line and two people at the desk. One person sitting doing nothing and the other struggling with something another guest needed. Three of us standing in line. There was no greeting from either person at the desk to let us know they would be with us ASAP. Finally was checked in and went to room. The bedroom part of the room looked very nice. However, the bathroom was a mess. The counter looked like it had been set for a child's use it was so low. The towel rack was falling off the wall and taking parts of the sheet rock with it. The light fixture was a bare bulb with insulation sticking out around it. The toilet had a lid on it that was hanging over by an inch on either side. Evidently it had been changed but not with a correct part. The water pressure out of the tub faucet was great, however, it felt like I was going to pull the faucet off the wall trying to turn it on and then most of the water was coming out of the faucet not out of the shower head. (As a person who lives in the desert, this type of water waste is disconcerting to say the least.) One stingy bar of soap in the bathroom. To top it off, instead of just swiping my card for the deposit for extras, they charged my card and had me enter my pin as if I had made a purchase. As of now, the "deposit" is still on my credit card statement. Breakfast was plentiful if not a little weird with a mainly Mexican assortment of food. Two ** seems very generous.

My family arrived here from California needed a place to stay for one night we searched up in google this hotel and the pictures look more high class and elegant, but when we came the hotel is very dark and run down, the hallways are very dark and gloomy, the rooms are so basjc and too expensive for the price, this place isn't worth your time, nor money

Over all for the price this is a great hotel to stay in. They have shuttle service and free breakfast included with your stay. The rooms are being updated and no longer have carpet so it made the room look more contemporary. The rooms are very clean and the bed and pillows are very comfortable. Staff is extremely friendly. If you stay here you need to try the breakfast, so many options and it is so delicious! I joined best Westen membership after this weeks stay and you get one free night after staying at the hotel for two days. You can't beat that the price and location!

Overall okay. Jason at the front is lovely. The breakfast they put on is lovely. The rooms, Outdated and needing a lot of attention. I mean an assload of updating. The air-conditioning didn't work couldn't get the room below 70, ever and the humidity was high. The toilet.....no, the shower/tub drain was 100% slow. The bed was lovely. Very very comfortable, the staff was just wonderful.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!! My room had bedbugs and my room smelled like sewer water. I visit over 30 hotels a year and this one was by far the worst. I tried requesting a refund because I was initially going to stay there for 4 nights and I found the bed bugs on the 2nd night so I was laying on a bed full of bed bugs for TWO DAYS and all they did was give me the run around that they will call me and they never did. All in all best western doesn't take care of their customers.
