When I explore our "Hidden Gem of the World, Crossroads of North America, anchored by El Paso, Cd. Juárez & Las Cruces!", my primary route is the "International Ft. Hancock - Las Cruces I-10 Bicycle Bypass. This fabulous all-weather/sealed road is just over a hundred miles/160kms moving through rural & city in 2-countries/3-states, and the reason I carry my valid passport with me. While MEXICO does not aggressively require me to show it when I enter that MAGNIFICENT country, a valid passport is one if the required documents for re-entering the USA. Anyway, when I am cycling the Western segment of this great road, I ALWAYS stop at the BERINO MINI MART (about mile marker 5) to rest/re-charge my body with snacks/drinks AND buy the winning mega-millions ticket (sadly, the wrong numbers are always drawn!).I don't need it as my vehicle is (now) an eBikeKit-assisted CruzBike, but there are also pumps available fir those who want to refuel their cars/trucks. The mini-Mart has a plethora of items inside, surprising as it is not that large of a structure. It's just plain a great stop, something I will always do when Northbound on 478 to Las Cruces!
