We first stayed at this location when the cabins were originally opened. The facilities are showing some wear and tear given their age. Unquestionably the cabins are charming and well located. Having lived near by, we know why there must be rules, particularly when operating in the forest, but I don't remember the long list of do's and don't passed out and posted when checking in as they were this time. The one thing not mentioned was housekeeping. There was no housekeeping for the 3 nights we stayed. Not sure what their policy is on this? We will still likely return.

We are finishing a 4 night stay and highly recommended the BCC to others. It's a short drive from downtown Silver City and is located in a nice quiet and scenic area. Good location to drive to the Gila cliff dwellings and to the Catwalk Recreation atea. Our cabin (B) was cozy and spotless. The owners made us feel quite welcome.

The cabin was very cozy but rustic/outdated. It smelt like a museum and was very dark inside. Certainly felt like a stereotypical 'cabin in the woods.'I wouldn't recommend this place especially if you are used to standard hotels. It's dark, cramped, and old. They don't tell you that your cabin is limited to 20 gallons of hot water before you have to wait an hour for it to reheat. To top it all off there was a spider in our bed and footprints outside our shower window.Only reason for two stars was it served its purpose as a place to stay.

We had the best time staying here! They allowed our two little dogs to stay with us and provided pet sheets for the dogs with an extra fee. The space was really nice, a two story cabin with a big comfy bed and a little deck on the second story. They provided a microwave and all the plates and things you need to eat on location. We took some nice walks around the area and met some friendly neighbors. While we visited, there was a nearby fire, so we didn't get to explore in the woods as much as we had hoped. That being said, we'll have to do that next time!

This wonderful little relaxing hideaway is only a 5 1/2 hour away from Phoenix! What a fantastic place to stay to get away from the busy city and summer heat to sit among the tall pines and listen to the wind move through them. The cabins are located a short drive outside of Silver City in a former mining town called Pinos Altos. Lots of cool history here. The cabins are a 15 minute walk to the Historic Center and holds the rustic Buckhorn Saloon where you can grab a great steak dinner.

This was an area a few miles outside of Silver City, NM. There were several cabins and Cabin 5 was available for us. It was a cute, rustic cabin with a king size bed in a loft area, with a small adjoining balcony complete with two Adirondack chairs. Downstairs was a couch, chair, fireplace, bathroom, and a coffee bar/microwave area with essential necessities if you were planning to try to cook anything while there. There was also a small fridge. Outside there was a charcoal grill and tools available if you wanted to go that route. Our porch had a picnic table and two more Adirondack chairs in which to sit and enjoy the birds while drinking your morning coffee or having a glass of wine in the evening. There were two tv's, but we didn't really use them. Our only problem was the cabin wasn't ready when we were told we could check in, but they let us have a late check out time the next day. It was a nice place to get away and have some time to relax and unwind. Since Covid, the hot tub has not been available. The area restaurant just recently reopened, but they didn't serve on Sunday evenings. We will need to go back another time to check that out.

We had a great time at Bear Creek Motel & Cabin! The cabins were very homey and we appreciated the microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. We stopped here on the way to the Grand Canyon and it was so worth it! We went to the Gila National Park during the day and Silver City for dinner. We'd definitely stay here again!

Very clean and unique place. Got the 2 story 2 bed cabin and found it to be very spacious and the interior design so very cozy. Close proximity to the park and just outside of Silver City. Would recommend anytime. The staff was friendly and very helpful with history of the area.

Cabins are great! Management is a nightmare don't stay here unless you're good with dealing with difficult people. They were rude and watched my boyfriend and I from afar, when I said good morning she didn't respond but she would speak with my boyfriend. Pretty creepy.
