Baruch Cafe

A small family owned Cuban restaurant in the middle of west Texas! Who woulda thunk it? We were greeted a warmly and given a short menu with some good choices. Hubby tried the fried chicken with Cuban beans and rice. I had a Cuban steak sandwich which included a brand on the bread, along with a side of tostones. We shared a large piece of flan for dessert. Everything was wonderful and lots of food.

Lovely little humble Cuban cafe. Inexpensive food and great service. Can't wait to try their lunch.

We happened upon this place by accident. Our usual restaurant we go to looks like it closed down. Baruch Cafe has only been open for a month. The food is cooked to order and very tasty. The prices are reasonable and the customer service was spot on. Very happy with our breakfast choice of steak and eggs as well as the lunch Cuban Bistec with Cuban rice and yuca Frits. Very quaint and charming place. The food was good not a big menu but enough to get what you want. Wasn't expecting to find a place like this ithriving metropolis of VanHorn. Good service that you can tell is family ran and they were very service dog friendly. I think they would be animal friendly no matter. Will definitely stop her again on the way through. The Colada was yummy. If you don't know it's a strong Cuban coffee.

Such a cute little place that we hadn't expected on our long CA to TX drive. We had breakfast, which was just fine. Given the name, at first we thought it might be a deli (it's not), but if we ever get back that way I'd love to try their delicious-sounding Cuban fare.
