Our first visit to the Bark Park & im impressed by the size of it. Ive only been to 2 other fenced in dog parks larger than this. The small dog area isn't ridiculously small either i usually stick my dog in with the big boys in other parks because of the lack of space. He seemed to be content with the area & I will definitely bring him back. We were the only ones here at this time so hopefully during peak bark hour my dog & I will make some friends. With that being said the water fountain in the small dog area isnt much of a fountain its just a faucet that doesn't necessarily land in the reservoir. I forgot our travel water bottle but Sancho didnt mind getting splashed in the face much. Although i've seen better dog water fountains this isnt a deal breaker. Other reviews seemed to mention an ungodly amount of feces leftover by owners & i guess we got lucky because the area was really clean this afternoon.

Let's start off by I haven't been here for about a year now but I remember this park like it was yesterday. The reason being is because of the poop. Man trying to run with your pup in the large dog area was a hard feat...so I switch over and took my dogs to the small dog area (4 are considered small and the last one is actually a big boy!) but left my big boy in the proper area. I could actually run over there, due to not many mounds of poop. There isn't much to dog with the dogs so running was what we did since there were only 2 others there when we went. There are benches out for the humans to sit at and chit chat! Oh and how could I forget the water fountain. My one male dog wanted to use it so bad rather than is bowl...for what reason I have no idea...but I kept telling him no and he eventually figured out alright mom isn't joking even though this thing is so darn cool. If you need poop bags they have that too! All in all if you want to get your dog out to run freely then this is a great place. Just watch out for the poop just in case. People just learn to pick up your DOGS POOP! It's not hard!!! =)

I like this park because it's just the closest one and it's decent size. However, I don't like it because there are piles of dog shit everywhere. Makes me wonder how people clean up after themselves...There are rocks and burdocks everywhere (safety hazard) Someone even left dog food spilled.City parks are so much cleaner. I get that it's on a military base and it probably isn't their priority but there are families that bring their dogs here often so I feel like it should be less unkept. Also, I'm not a fan of people bringing their kids because sometimes kids get carried away or some dogs don't like kids like mine so I think it's safer not to bring them. Luckily the park is big enough to walk away. Parents please keep an eye on your kids. Like most dog parks many people don't seem to care about their dogs behavior unless dogs are actually getting bitten, so please just keep an eye on your dog and their behavior. ****In my opinion this park is not a safe place for dogs or families. I cleaned up a few piles but it needs more than one person to help keep this park clean. I'd like to keep going here but if no one is putting in effort I won't be surprised when this park gets closed off. Dogs can't clean up after themselves. Nasty disease can be spread from fecal matter. Take care of your pets!

I gave this 3 stars because my dog (whom this is for) seems to really enjoy it lol. Otherwise, it's just a big fenced in area with some grass, some dirt, and tons of discarded toys owners and their humans leave behind. It's FOR SURE big enough for even the biggest dogs, so that's a plus. They can get out and full sprint end to end before running out of room. So that's great. Speaking of big dogs, it's segregated. A much smaller pen, fenced in, for dogs 20lb and less. The bigger dogs are in the big yard. So don't worry ... Your bad ass German Shepard won't get beat up by the chihuahua. Your big dog status will stay in tact. They have a water fountain there for the dogs. We bring or own bowl and fill it up at the fountain... Just seems safer. Never know. They have doggie bags and trash cans to clean up your dogs mess. And btw, PLEASE DO! Too many times I've tracked down my dogs ball at the end of the fence and dodged like 20 piles... Seriously. They even provide the bags... Just clean it.If your dog is a jerk, please know your pet, don't bring some dog that gonna bite every other dog. Just take that mess somewhere else. So far I've not seen this myself. All the dogs seem to be really having fun together, but I've heard stories from others that also use this park... I'm just saying, know your pet and please understand where you're bringing your pet too, and that other families and pets may very well be present. Otherwise, have a blast! It's definitely a great place to let the dogs unwind. Located across from the Ft Bliss museum. Park in the same parking lot as the MAIN housing office. Down the road form PX. See Burger King? Closer... There it is... Park at housing, enjoy!

This is a beautiful dog park on Fort Bliss. I went there for the first time today. I was really impressed how big it was. It's surrounded by huuuuge fences so even jumpers can't run away. There's chairs and also a little fountain for dogs. What I was a little sad about is that there were so many dog poops. I mean, it's not the park owner's fault. It's the dog owners who don't even clean such public space. That's why I had to watch where my puppy walks so she won't step on them or mess with them. FYI this park is divided into two areas. One for dogs more than 20 lbs and the other for dogs less than 20 lbs. I like that they don't put small puppies and big dogs all together.

This dog park is alright.. it's the only one in El Paso that I know for sure is fenced in. There are two areas. One for smaller dogs(under 40 lbs) and one for larger dogs(over 40 lbs). There is a large rectangle in the center of each fenced area that has grass.. although I haven't been there yet when it's actually nice and alive. Outside of the rectangle it's just gravel. There are 2 benches in each area but they're very old and the wood is not very sturdy anymore so I would definitely recommend being careful when sitting down! There are little boxes where there should be poop bags but we brought our own so I'm not sure if there was actually any in there- because there was some poop that wasn't picked up. It's a good enough place for your dog to get some exercise.

The Bark Park is ok. I like that there is a separate area for big and small dogs (my dog is small, so my review is based on the small area). They provide poop bags. There are two benches located under the shade of the trees, which is nice. There's also grass on the tree side, but the other half of the area is dirt. Be careful of the large hole of carpenter ants in the dirt! They're by the fountain. Speaking of the fountain, it's not built very well imo. There isn't a good way for dogs to drink from it without getting splashed while it's turned on. You could turn it off once the bowl is full, but the bowl drains somewhat fast. Another concern is that there are gaps in the fence that some dogs could squeeze through.
