Avalon West

Mr. Bohannon reached out to me to address my apt unit issues and the unpleasantry I had with one of the management staff. He demonstrated to me he genuinely cares about his residents' experience and assured me that this is what his company is striving for. The broken ice maker in my fridge has been replaced with new ice maker, and Heather the community manager has reached out to me to follow up which was nice of her. I just wish I did not have to go through all the ordeal to have this positive outcome. I will update this review one more time toward the end of my lease to leave a final summary of my experience at Avalon West.

I'm writing this review after having lived here for 16 days. The place itself is new and polished. The kitchen is beautiful with the stainless steel appliances and marble counter-tops, thick carpets. I can't really hear my neighbors talk but I can definitely hear the sliding closet doors bang against the end of the sliding track. No problems as of maintenance as this place is new. Crickets do come in (I'm on the second floor) but that's probably more of an El Paso thing since it's so hot outside. The staff has been very helpful and professional but my interaction has been rather limited so I can't comment fairly besides that. My rent balances/payments/deposits have been accurately displayed so no complaints there. The gym is pretty decent for an apartment one. The clubhouse is super nice and clean. They have Starbucks ground coffee and tea if you're too cheap to own a Keurig. Laundry room is located behind the gym and has about 4 washing machines and 6 dryers; they take CCs or coins. If my experience continues to be this positive, and I haven't been fired from work, then I'd definitely renew my lease.

I've been living here 3.5 months now and it's still very nice. Quiet and friendly neighbors. My only complaint is that the drawers in the kitchen are incredibly small (I live in the 800sq foot single bedroom unit). Management remains exemplary.

Great place to live. I lived here for a little over a year and no complaints with the property itself. Staff is great and very helpful with the exception of a condescending property manager. She is rude and short when answering questions. She does not respond to emails quickly and is dismissive. If your looking for a quiet place to live, this should be your new home. Just avoid the caddiness in the back office.

It was the reviews and photos that got me interested but it was the staff that sold me!After visiting 15 apartments throughout El Paso's west side, I knew Avalon West was going to be my future home. I put my name on the list and after 2 months, I got the call I was waiting on. After a 20 hour drive, I was not excited for the move-in process but again, the staff came through. Katie and Heather had already done the legwork by the time I pulled in and in 5 minutes I had the keys in my hand. I've been here for a year now and I love this complex. The pool and gym are fantastic, the landscaping is really well done, and the apartment layout is great. Throughout the year I have had a handful of maintenance requests, all were completed quickly and the maintenance staff is phenomenal. All the small details the staff works so hard on honestly made El Paso start to feel like home. Shortly after renewing my lease, my job had me moving again. I was really worried about needing to break my lease but luckily, they have several paths for going about it. With minimal stress, and expense to me, the staff helped me navigate the process and the moveout was relatively painless. Everything about the complex, location, and apartment were wonderful but it's the front office and maintenance staff that make Avalon West the best apartment in El Paso. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to rent here!

Greedy corporate and bad management. Don't waste your time or money.I lived at this complex for almost a year, apartments are beautiful. Neighbors are kind and friendly.Management is a whole other story, Ansley is nice and helpful. Franzia is extremely rude and unprofessional. She always gives attitude to the customer as you can see on past google reviews. There are plenty of complaints against her. I guess she feels she is irreplaceable because she seems to not care even though I just expressed how she was making me feel.By the way, they will charge you over a $1,000 to break contract even if it has to do with pandemic reasons or your business closing.I agreed to a payment arrangement to pay the amount. Signed the paperwork and they GLADLY took out my payment on the 15th, 2 days later I was sent me to Collections and now my credit has dropped 16 points and am getting calls 3 times a day from debt collectors.No matter how beautiful this apartment complex is, if management continues to let representatives act like this than it is always going to be a one star experience!

Great apt complex - well kept community, nice layouts, and apt interiors. Terribly incompetent property manager, fails to fulfill the agreed upon contract, and allows tenets causing noise disruptions to go on without corrective action - for years. Multiple healthcare colleagues have chosen to move as a result of chronic noise disturbances and lack of corrective, common sense, actions to non-compliant tenets. For anyone with a demanding career, I cannot recommend living at this apt complex given the lack of common courtesy from the managerial staff. It is a shame to see people emphasize profit over doing the right thing.

I really like it here! It's more of a young professionals type of place, which is great because I don't want to deal with college parties. I love the kitchen! It has such a nice arrangement. I have a 750 sq ft apt one bedroom and it has everything I would want. Well maybe it would be nice to have a balcony, but with El Paso heat maybe it@/ better this way. If you're a woman you'll love the walk in closet! And the gym is spectacular! Has everything I need for now. People at the front desk are friendly, and the few work requests (light bulbs shutting down mainly) have been fixed as soon as they receive the work request. Overall I recommend this place!
