We love this place for breakfast on the weekends. I especially like it, as the full menu is available all day - that means I don't have to eat eggs for breakfast :) Lots of New Mexican specialties (I'm a fan of the relleno and pinto beans), menudo on weekends and steaks on Friday night. It's out in the small town of Arrey, but worth the drive or a great pit stop if driving thru. Cash only (there is an atm next door at the market).

Extremely clean and friendly, but everything tasted like it came out of the freezer premade and fried. We couldn't even finish our lunch. My husband ordered a burger and it was a premade patty (not even a good one ) and I got the steak fingers and they were tv dinner quality.

It's one of the few places to get a bite near Percha Dam State Park and the hours vary by day of the week (and, perhaps, depending on the season). We were fortunate to find the Arrey Cafe open on a Friday evening and it was busy!We were immediately served chips and salsa. They were out of fried chicken so we opted for the green chile cheeseburgers (1/4 or 1/2 pound), which came with fries. Excellent burger! To quench our parched throats, we had enormous arnold palmers (1/2 iced tea, 1/2 lemonade).Several different fresh pies-by-the-slice were available for dessert (I had apple and it was delicious). The prices are reasonable and the wait staff was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended!

This tiny lil gem is right in the middle of a small town. The people greet you with huge smiles such a sweet feeling of home. I have been here a few times and the food has never let me down! If you are ever in town stop in and have a warm meal. You won't regret it.

First, the salsa is great. Ordered the chile relleno plate, and well, the rellenos were just "o.k." Not awful, but not great either, just mid...o.k. Rellenos are my favorite food in the universe, so those are always the first thing I try at a new restaurant. The main thing I didn't care for was that there was too much cheese, and or too strong of cheese. I'm not sure what cheese was used to stuff these, but it was some sort of Mexican white cheese. maybe a goat cheese or maybe asadero, Oaxaca, or Cotija? I've had so many different rellenos, most of them with white cheese, but never this.... I don't think (My favorite rellenos are made with cheddar). It was very strong and overwhelming. The other thing was that the relleno was covered in a glob of cheese and little to no green chile sauce... just chunks of green chile that seemed old, slimy and a day away from moldy. Still, it wasn't horrible (really, no green chile flavor at all). The beans were ok (no flavor). The fideo was ok (no flavor). Wasn't a lot of flavor here at all, besides the overwhelming cheese. Maybe I have covid, but I didn't taste anything but the chips and salsa... and cheese. The service was excellent, btw. So I guess my review is the exact opposite of the others here, lol.

Clean place, nice waitress: ordered the 1/2 pound green Chile cheeseburger: $11. Got a burger which resembled a Mc Double from the value meal only on a bigger bun, with green chiles on it. Overcooked almost burned skinny patties which looked like the standard 1/8 lb frozen type. Great fries though. My wife had the breakfast enchilada for $12, which she said was good. For a New Mexican cafe to put out such a piece of crap Green Chile cheeseburger is a shame as it's a standard at New Mexico cafes. Way overpriced for what I got, though my wife's plate looked great.

Food Service Ambience It was a terrific all around experience. The service was very well done. The food was very tasty. The ambience was comfortable. The area is rural and quite pleasant. My compliments to the staff and ownership. It's been a mainstay for years. Thanks for being a must go destination in the greater southern portion of New Mexico.

I stopped by to get their Friday Steak dinner, and to my surprise, the steak was cooked to perfection. It was delicious. I had the sweet potatoe and it was delicious too. I will be back for another Friday.
