A business associate recommended stopping here for lunch. It was worth the stop! It was kinda hard to choose since we had such a spectacular meal the night before. The typical menu was filled with burgers & sandwiches however I think the best part of the meal was the starter - Tejas Fries! Absolutely fantastic! I might have to try and recreate at home!It was a tough decision sincere I wasn't overly hungry. Scanning the menu I decided to try the Hatch Green Chili Philly. I was not impressed! It was good but did not meet my expectations! It was definitely worth a try and I may try to recreate on my next cook at home. Great idea just not executed to my liking!Our server, Marina was great and she provided great service!!!I keep going back to the Tejas Fries truly the hit of the meal! My mouth is watering just thinking about them! Ohhh if I'm ever back in El Paso I would make the visit simply for those tasty fries

I had a way different interpretation of what the inside would look like by seeing the outside. But it was underwhelming.I walked in and had an instant hit of sewer/ drainage/ old water? Smell. I could really tell, but I was told about this before I went by family that have been and I ignored it.Our server David was great. He did everything right.My complaint was also the food. I ordered fajitas (not simmering whatsoever)... were warm not hot. Sad portion for $20 and that's the price without sides. It was maybe 2 oz of chicken and 2 oz of steak, no exaggeration.So for the price I expect more, and bc it was eh, Indont think I will come back.

Holy Cow! This place is great. The salads are HUGE. The chicken fajita salad is amazing with the best dressing. Can't tell but it looks like it might be an old Jaxon's so it's a huge space with indoor and outdoor seating. The waitress was so funny and gave the best service. Made a recommendation that was exactly like she said it would be. Love this place, the food and the service. 5 stars!

I was excited when I saw the menu, but this was below average in many ways. The stuffed jalapeños were incinerated, not fried, to the point all the cheese stuffing probably ended up in the fryer. The Cubano was just a salty, wet sad mess. The pork was bland, the ham had been burned on the grill and the pickles weren't great. The trademark of a good Cubano is a healthy swipe of mustard, and this was missing completely. The burger my nephew had was also incinerated. Seemed to be the theme of the food. The quesadilla was decent, but only just. I'll still be probably looking for the tequila in their signature margarita sometime next week and still won't find it. Definitely not a repeater.

Angry Owl Southwest Grill serves excellent food, drinks and has a fantastic atmosphere for families and groups. Ample parking lot and upstairs Angry Owl has a private area that likely holds 20-25 people for parties/get-togethers. I had the carnitas tacos and was not disappointed. I also recommend their stuffed peppers as an appetizer.

To begin, we were warmly greeted by the hostess as we were the 1st ones in the door on Friday (May 3) and our server was a delight. We ordered the carnitas tacos, and a single burger (which was huge) and battered fries. We also had the best beans and rice to accompany the tacos. Best of all was the chile potato chowder. Oh, my gosh, so delicious. Topped with cheese and slivers of tortillas. Perfect. The entire meal was super delicious. We hope to come back again next time we are in El Paso.

We went on a Friday for lunch. Lots of seating and waitstaff was courteous. She came around frequently to check on us and was very accommodating as our group grew from 5 to 9 within a 30 minutes span. I loved that they had a liquid happy hour! They're lunch special were well priced. I ended up getting the hatch chili potato chowder soup, garden salad and Chile con queso chips. My daughter ordered the boneless wings, and my husband ordered their mushroom and Swiss cheese burger. All the food and drinks were delicious! We could have stayed and ordered more for dinner if we weren't so full. It's definitely a plaice I'd like to return to. Also, their drinks Ade worth coming to for happy hour or get togethers.

Angry Owl is a burger spot near my house that I've surprisingly only gone to twice since I've lived in El Paso. It's a solid burger joint, one of the best I've found in fact, with a nice atmosphere and staff.The interior is a little strangely set up with stairs and walls in places I felt were unnecessary. It also has a small bar where I've sat both times and have always liked my experience.I ordered the El Cochino as a recommendation from the bartender and it did not disappoint. With 2 blackened patties, pork carnitas, and a chipotle BBQ sauce alongside hatch green chiles that make for an excellent barrage of flavors that pair really well together. It's messy though, so make sure to get some napkins! Overall, I'll probably try to come again with some friends to check it out.

As a new customer for my Nephews graduation dinner our waitress Mariana C. was phenomenal at her job!!! She hosted my huge family of 20 with no problems and accommodated us so well while we were placing our orders! Everything came out right on time. I specifically loved her suggestions as I was choosing my drink of choice for the night. Jalapeño Pineapple Margarita was delicious!!!! Great food, Fun environment and top notch service! Forgive my Foodie Snobbery but for this "type" of Sports Bar / Cantina, I compare and contrast to "Chilli's" or "Fridays" rather than a pure Cantina. This is born of a Menu that mixes Fresh and Frozen Foods compared to Restaurants that make more of THEIR Menu FRESH. Of course, this is based on Economics as Restaurants with Sports make their Bones in their Bar on Booze and fewer Patrons seek Food as anything more than Appz or "Filling". Angry Owl is fine for a Sports Bar but each Time there, the Food is clearly less their Focus than pushing Drinks. Service is fine and its a fun place with a fine Vibe but clearly too much of their Menu seems Fresh / Frozen and because I don't Drink, I find it "Meh" and wish their Food was more of a Focus but that's also not Fair to a Place not designed for a Sober Foodie?
