I wish there were more than 5 starts to give, especially for the hospitality! Tom and Sharon were incredible hosts, provided us great recommendations and made our trip worthwhile. Stay at this B&B was not just a small part of our trip, but actually the best part! Truly one of the rare true B&Bs unlike some other which do not offer full experience. Amenities were on the level of a 5 star hotel, can feel the care taken. Location wise, it is an ideal location to Marathon, Marfa, Mc Donald Observatory, and Big Bend National Park. Also, if you're looking for the best food on your Big Bend trip, you do not have any other choice than to stay here. Sharon's breakfast was delicious!

The lovely couple who own this B&B were so welcoming. They gave us a tour and added some history through the photos - making the stay special. I was most impressed that they had thought of every little comfort and added it tastefully to an historic structure. Our stay was short but super comfortable. Wish we had planned for more time here. The other special shout-out is to their breakfast! We've had really great breakfasts at B&Bs before but never such an amazing to-go option! It was fresh, filling, with so much variety - it was perfect for all morning of hiking!

This is the hands down the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in!!! We spent an entire week here for our honeymoon, in the Twin Sisters Room- which has it's own private entrance, garden and covered patio AND private hot tub surrounded by 100+ year old cacti!I cannot say enough about how wonderful the room was... extremely comfortable bed, high quality sheets, towels, robes etc. Every detail has been well thought out and they were clearly working each day to see how else to continuously improve things.Breakfast each morning was to diiieeee for, Sharon is an absolutely amazing chef (and I'm extremely picky!). She rotates between savory and sweet items each morning, and will do everything she can to accommodate requests, dietary restrictions etc. She makes almost everything from scratch -- her homemade breads are incredible.Tom and Sharon are some of the nicest and most down to earth people you will meet. We had Christmas dinner with them and thoroughly enjoyed spending the evening with them and having a few laughs :)Located in the center of downtown Alpine, you have the ability to walk everywhere. We will DEFINITELY be back to stay, as well as recommend it to family and friends, because it is a super central location for anything you want to go do in West Texas!!

This is the best place to stay on the planet! We had our trip to Ireland cancelled last minute. We landed on this charming town as a backup. Close enough to big bend National park, and the scenery between this bed and breakfast all the way to the park makes the 80 mile drive south pleasant... LOCATION IS PERFECT!The house is over a hundred years old, but has EVERY modern touch. This place was spotless, and spacious. The bed slept like a dream and now I'm probably going to buy one. Smart tv really expands the entertainment possibilities. Our room had a magnificent claw foot tub (which momma loves) in addition to a large shower. Everything from the top shelf shampoo/conditioner/body wash, sheets, towels, coffee to the carport parking (first come first served) was perfectly tuned for a home away from home experience. The hospitality was unmatched from my experience... Tom and Sharon were incredible conversationalists. The buck stops with the incredible cooking! Sharon makes an amazing salsa that hits the eggs in a different kinda way. And GET THE BACON!! Trust me on that.Their knowledge of the area is also very nice to have. When they tell you to book a reservation at SpiceWood... do it. Tom and Sharon made our trip special, and we will 100% be returning to visit. Book in advance, the whole house is available for booking for large families with kids under 12. Loved it!

We loved our time at the Alpine B & B. Loved the house, our room (and luxury bathroom!), the common area, and delicious breakfasts. We have a special needs adult son and the owners were so welcoming and friendly and made us all feel right at home. We'll definitely be back!

I found this gem of a place when I made a spur of the moment 6-hour drive to Alpine for 2 nights. Owners Tom and Sharon put so many artistic, thoughtful and creature comfort details into this pretty historic home. For ex: Gilschrest & Soames bath and body products, fluffy soft robes that you can just sink into, thick towels, and all sorts of drinks and fruit available all day. And breakfast, holy smokes, wow. Sharon serves up a customized generous gourmet scrumptious breakfast each morning. The king bed and luxury cotton sheets are just marvelous, and they have a lovely wraparound porch with other places to sit out on the lawn under the shade trees. Highly recommend!

If you are traveling to Marfa, Alpine or Fort Davis, you must stay at the Alpine B&B. Tom and Sharon are wonderful hosts. They have done an excellent job converting a historical home to boutique B&B.. Chocolate, coffee, soda, juices, and fruit are available 24/7. Since we left before 9 am each morning, we used the "to go" breakfast option. Homemade yogurt with honey was the BEST, egg/spinach/cheese breakfast tortillas were awesome. Oh, did I mention chocolates available 24/7? You can also reserve a wine tasting session. If we are ever back in this area, we will definitely stay at Alpine. Maybe by then, they will have opened their wine tasting store in Alpine!

Spent 2 nights here a few weeks ago and I couldn't say enough great things about it. This newly remolded B&B is owned and operated by 2 gems, Sharon and Tom. They have put there heart and soul into making this a safe, clean and Unique place to stay. The rooms were spotless, the breakfast was to die for, and the company was delightful. The location is quiet, peaceful and full of nature. You can walk to down town or sit on the wrap-around-porch and watch the Hummingbirds!!! Alpine B&B exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to return for another visit!!
