I love Aj's. Burgers and sandwiches are on point and I love the chocolate milkshake or you can order vanilla milkshake but chocolate is my favorite. I also love the atmosphere and the 50's look and feel.

Our recent visit to the 1950s-style diner was like stepping back in time. The ambiance exuded pure '50s charm, with classic hits playing on the jukebox and the diner staff dressed in attire reminiscent of a soda jerk from the era. We indulged in handcrafted milkshakes, opting for both strawberry and vanilla flavors, and were delighted by their rich and delicious taste. Unfortunately, the milkshakes were so filling that we didn't have room for any food, but we look forward to returning in the future to sample other items from the menu.The staff was attentive and friendly, adding to the enjoyable dining experience, and the restaurant was impeccably clean. Overall, our visit to the 1950s-style diner was a delightful trip down memory lane, and we can't wait to come back for more nostalgic treats.

I used to love coming here. Unfortunately, I will not come here again. The service was terrible. They only had one person at the register, who left to the back when we walked in. Once again, after bringing our food, she went back to the back and took some time to come out. We ordered nachos and requested pickled jalapenos. That's a food item they don't have. It makes no sense to have nachos on the menu but no pickled jalapenos.

On Father's Day, a Sunday, we tried to order from AJ's website for carry out. We placed the order, and our credit card was charged. The email confirmation said the order was received, however the order would not be ready for pickup until Monday at 11:30am (the next day!). We immediately called the store, but the manager was out, so we left a message with the staff member on duty. Since we wouldn't get our food that Sunday, we asked for a refund. Long story short, three phone calls and nearly three weeks later, we are still waiting for a refund. The staff on the phone always seem helpful and friendly, but the management is not following through and processing our refund.

The steak was thick gummy pieces for a Philly cheesesteak! Took forever to chew!!Won't be returning! The place has a bad smell to it, couldn't sit inside so i took it home!! Paseo del Norte location!

Enjoyed everything about AJ's.The service, the classic diner ambiance, and especially the delicious American grub!! Our family was starving after being out and about all day and, I'm honestly so glad we found this place! We wolfed down everything we ordered that I forgot to take pics of all we ate except the Oreo shakes, which were awesome!!Looking forward to coming back!

I visited ajs diner today at around 8 and am glad to say that the food was amazing! Sadly, the customer service was not.I was helped by a brunette waitress and she was completely unprofessional! She barely checked on our table and when she did she seemed in the wrong state of mind and had a noticeable stench to her and we could barely hear her when she talked. It's so unfortunate because my family loves coming here for the milkshakes and food which are always great but i wish i could say i had a better customer service experience.We'll definitely be back to enjoy the great food but will be disappointed if we experience the same customer service.

Their food is always great and so is their service! The young lady who works in the front is super sweet and very attentive. She double checks if everything came out good from the kitchen and it always does! It's always super quiet in here but they have a great diner feel to the place. It's a great place to go for a nice date to talk and relax while listening to great music!

Used to love coming to this place with family and friends. They updated everything and lost some of the vibe. Tried to order a malted milkshake, but was informed they no longer have malted milkshakes. So I paid around $7 for essentially semi liquid ice cream with whipped cream and a cherry. I was also informed they do not have the Kitchen Sink burger or Cherry Coke. Was informed that because anyone hardly visits the N. Mesa location, these favorites have been discontinued and that I would need to drive to the Cimerron location for these favorites. Kind of a letdown TBH. The cashier/waitress was great though. She explained everything in a kind manner. Must be frustrating to have to tell customer after customer they no one longer have the stuff that made AJ's great. Times change, I suppose.
