We tried this place when they first opened - and haven't been back since. Glad we stopped in tonight! They've really worked out some kinks - the food was really good. The milkshakes fresh, the kids loved them. Lots of burger choices to choose from, tastes really fresh. Service was 5/5. We came in about half an hour from closing and they were so friendly, despite us being so late. Love the diner atmosphere! Popeye was playing, as well as 50s music. The decor is really cool, as is the warehouse door being open on a nice night so you can see the kids playing at the park. Definitely worth a stop in!

Gonna say those harsh words no one wants to hear about a new franchise, not as good as the original. But I guess that's not a bad thing if you're the original?? Right? The food still had a great taste. But everything else just didn't feel organic is the best way I can describe it. It honestly felt like a Mooyahs with AJ'S name on it. The AJ'S on N.Mesa which I've been going to since High School over 25 years now, just feels more welcoming. I feel like I'm walking into the 50's & 60's at that one. At this new location I didn't get the vibe as much. They tried adding the era correct decor but missed I felt. Also a lot dirtier than what I was expecting especially for a new location. Though that needed to be addressed. The service wasn't the same, as you now have to order at the counter. I'm not saying this is a bad place to eat but I am saying the original on N.Mesa is worth the extra 10 mile drive. Food was delicious.

The food is always fresh. Those cheeseburgers! Nice place for pick up or dine in. There's a few bars around and I love that I have this option for food when the bars don't. Maybe if they would stay open a bit later on Friday and Saturday as sell to those patrons.

The food is filling, the burgers come out hot and juicy, the fries are crispy and the setting of the restaurant takes me back to a little diner I used to grow up going too. I recommend this place completely, it is a little pricey in terms of cost of food but I do also agree it is great food for what you're getting. The service was awesome they made sure to greet us as we came in and left and we patient with us the whole time while we took forever to order. Recommend giving this place a chance and don't think you'll be disappointed

Only 4-tops available in the place. Limited menu compared to the original Mesa location. Ordered a Philly cheesesteak that was made with chunks of tough stew meat rather than thinly-sliced beef. For a kid's meal, two milkshakes, and 3 sandwiches, the total was $80, which would have been okay if the experience had been satisfactory.
