Affordable Plumbing

My water heater was leaking and I needed assistance fast. I was able to get a quote from another plumbing company which my home warranty contracted with. My warranty was covering most of the charges but the company that originally went out, wanted to charge me all these little fees on top of what my warranty was going to pay them. I called around to see if I could get other quotes and got the run around. I was able to speak to Affordable Plumbing and they were quick with coming out and quoting me. They were honest with the cost and did not overcharge me. They were quick to replace my water heater and the staff that came out was professional and respectful. I was completely happy with the service and would highly recommend them.

Gaby is wonderful. Affordable Plumbing and their employees go way beyond the norm. The cost was half what a nationally known plumbing company was going to charge me. Gaby was on time and most of all he was kind. They installed a dishwasher that Lowe's installers had told me was not up to code which was not right. It just was a different system than they were used to. Affordable plumbing understood the system had no problem with it and was able to install the dishwasher with no issues that along with my gas range. I'm giving them more business because now I trust them. They will always be my "go to" plumbing company.

Made an appointment on 11/22/22 at 10:30 AM. Made this on 11/18/22. Called at 11:00 AM - told runninig late, called at 12L00PM still late. Rescheduled for 3:00PM - 5:00PM Call at 4:00PM message box full hang up. Never showed or contacted me. I used before they were OK. Wasted an entire day.

Or more money in their pocket, depending on how you look at it. There is nothing affordable about that! I am not a plumber, but I am a homeowner, and I do have some basic knowledge to know that what my mother described as their diagnosis seemed off based on what they looked at. When I called out of concern for my mother, he actually argued with me about where to look for the problem and threatened me with more charges to come back and investigate further. Was rude when I questioned him. Will never use or refer again. Found an awesome plumber that investigated fully on first visit. Diagnosised problem that did not involve cutting into slab! Problem fixed and was exactly where suspected it was, in the wall and not the slab! Although that could have been the issue, thankfully, it was not, and had they checked everything and not made a snap judgment, they might have kept a customers loyalty. My mother had used them in the past and had to have them come out multiple times at her expense for the same issues? I am wondering if this is a pattern of behavior. Who knows, but beware!!! Educate yourself on what to look for! If something seems off, always get a second opinion so you don't throw good money after bad!

I have been using Affordable service on my home and rental properties. I asked them to clean out a plugged sewer line January 8th. I was in Albuquerque and wasn't here to meet the "Technician", but tenant filled me in on his activity. The "Technician" left stating the drain was open but would probably plug again. The drain clean outs were not used as it was under ground about 3 inches. I worked for a plumber in the 60's and would have known to look for the clean outs outside the house. This guy didn't have any idea what he was doing as he used an inch and a half tub/sink drain clean out to attempt to clean out a four inch line. I left a message on 1/18 and sent an email asking for someone to come out and finish the on 1/21. I will be calling someone else to do the job and suggest you call another company for your sewer problems. It is a shame they don't return calls. They just lost a customer who has been with them several years.

A bunch of liars. Technician came out and told me he was supposed to clean the pilot and said he didn't but it should be good because he reset it. He said if the water heater didn't work to call him as they were open 24/7. I called several times for the next two days because I had to hot water and nobody answered. Finally made contact and was told they would be out by 7 pm. By 730 nobody showed up and I called again and all I got was lip service and told a technician would be at my home by 730-8. Had to call off work and here it is 908 and still no technician. Called and was told they would be here in ten minutes that was 12 minutes ago and still nobody is here.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND AFFORDABLE PLUMBING IF YOU NEED PLUMBING SERVICES ON A MOBILE HOME. They do not carry mobile home parts and charge for the drive time to get parts they do not have. I specifically let Kalen know it was a mobile home since the beginning and asked to talk to plumber before he came so we could explain the issue to him and the part that was needed. That did not happen. Had she told me they do not carry mobile home parts and they charge for drive time to supply store I would have hired someone else. Seth was respectful and quick to issue at hand. He was here for almost 30 minutes then went for parts. It took him another 20 minutes to replace the fitting the pipe needed. I was charged for 2 hours. Kalen was rude, argumentative, and very unprofessional while I talked to her about being told by plumber that there was no charge for driving time before he left for the part (pex reducer) which was about $8. Kalen threatened that phone call had been recorded which did not worry me one bit. I had to call back to request my invoice again because she was so distracted with background noise she did not get my email right the first time.

The receptionist was kind and understanding and kept updated on statusof when Chuckie and Devon would arrive and our home April 5 2022.Chuckie and Devon were good listeners and quite knowledgeable plus beingquite quick in finding out where the problem was located. Took few moreminutes of their time to clean up and double check that everything was clearand working properly before they left. Extra time and caring is alwaysnoticed. The invoice was generated on the spot. I paid them. This is a company and a team I would recommend. Bonnie A.
