I should have read the reviews. I don't begrudge anyone making a profit and I will absolutely pay a premium for skilled, quality work. With that said, I was extremely over charged for the work done. I have a 2018 Ram 6.7 Cummins that developed a gasket leak with the EGR cooler. An entire gasket kit for the system (multiple gaskets and multiple o-rings) retails anywhere from $25-$40. Even double that would be reasonable. I was charged $141 and $55 for shipping. For just one gasket I was charged $71.50. The job averages two hours work. Three hours after starting the job, I was called and told the job was done. On the invoice, I was charged for 5 1/2 hours at a rate of $140/hr. That shop labor rate is nearly double what the average rate is. In all, I was invoiced over $1,000 plus tax. I will definitely not be taking my vehicle back to this shop regardless of their availability to do work.

I highly recommend this repair shop. They were fast to repair our diesel F250 and they communicated with us the entire time. We were stranded in las cruces New Mexico and they knew that. And they still did not take advantage of us. Looks like it's family owned and we were even provided transportation by them to our hotel. We are so thankful to this place and to the people. Do not go any further. I highly recommend, you take your diesel vehicle here

We arrived at Hacienda RV Resort in Las Cruces, NM with oil all over the rear hood of our diesel pusher motorhome and all over our tow car. It was late Friday so I contacted Advance Diesel Saturday morning based on their perfect Google reviews. They didn't disappoint -- they told me not to move our motorhome, which may damage the engine. Arnoldo and his tech were at my site within an hour of contacting them. They quickly determined that the truck center that did the PM the previous week over filled the engine oil by more than a gallon. I told Arnoldo we were planning to move-on Monday morning; he told me to bring it to their service center first thing on Monday morning and they would place me first in line for servicing our motorhome.I was at their facility at 8:00 am; they immediately drained the excess oil; and I was on the road in an hour. In the office, Arnoldo's son took extra time to give me a detailed invoice for their services so I could file a claim with truck center who performed the PM.Arnoldo, his son David, and his techs could not have been more understanding and accommodating, not to mention technically capable. As a former teacher, I am not only giving the company 5-stars, but if I could, I would put a gold star on each of the foreheads. Thank you guys.

I cannot say enough good things about Advance Diesel Services. I was between El Paso and Las Cruces when a remote coolant line split wide open, dumping my coolant and forcing me to shut down my newly acquired motorhome on the shoulder of I-10 at 7AM. There was virtually no cell signal, and at least half a dozen attempted calls could not be completed. At just a couple of minutes past 8AM, I tried the number for Advance... and it went through! A young man answered the phone, I explained what had happened, and he said "...they would be there in about 45 minutes." I couldn't believe the quick response. When Arnoldo and Ismael arrived, their goal was to do a temporary repair that would get me off of the Interstate and back to their shop, where it would be much safer to work. However, because of the location of the ruptured hose, access was impossible without pulling up the interior bathroom floor access panel above the engine. Upon doing that, they found the ruptured hose. However, it had about a 6 inch longitudinal split, meaning any coolant would be blown out too quickly to ever make it to their shop. They decided to make the repairs right there beside the Interstate. They had to make several trips back and forth to Las Cruces to get additional coolant, hose, and repair fittings. And knowing that excessive heat likely caused the hose to weaken and rupture, Arnoldo had the good, common sense to wrap the new hose with insulation. Once the repairs were made, I followed them to their shop to pay the bill. Arnoldo and Ismael left to go save some other stranded motorist. However, upon paying the bill, I mentioned to the office staff that "those guys were incredible!" Only then did I learn that Arnoldo is the owner of the business! He doesn't sit in an office or go play golf. He RESCUES people! I would never hesitate to highly recommend Advance Diesel Services to anyone. That kind of service and passionate desire to help others is very rarely seen in today's business environment. Out of 5 stars, I would give Advance Diesel Services a huge 10!

I own a Ford 550 with a diesel 6.0 which developed a problem with the egr cooler. I found this shop to be available and ready to start working with an estimate of $800 and next day finish time. A new egr cooler was installed in 4 days and I paid 1700 dollars. Drove one miles and noticed severe boost air leaks and loud turbo noise. Took truck back within 3-4 minutes because of the screeching and whining. After them working on it for 9 hours ( and of course charging me as such), noise was slightly reduced. Picked up truck again the following day, told Mr Bustillos still hear the screeching. Didn't want to pay another 9 hrs labor, so I wore earplugs and took the truck. It did get us some miles down the road. I noted that all antifreeze was gone, consequently, took truck to a Diesel shop in Sioux City which diagnosed damaged seal on egr and significant turbo leak. All the work was repeated to correct the errors and the antifreeze reservoir was replaced because it had a hole in it which accounted for the constant antifreeze loss when it was driven after the $1700 charge. Now need to pay additional $2200. I do NOT recommend Advanced Diesel Services.
