Bought a hat from a Real Man back in 2019, still wear it to this day. It's an awesome hat, and it's held up great over the years. Still get compliments on it to this day. Need to make a trip back out west and get some more hats. 10/10 highly recommend

I went there to find a hat to fit, which is hard to do, since I wear a size 7-7/8 to 8. I was able to find one right off that I liked. Usually I just waste my time even when I look online, they don't have my size when I look it up. Sure is nice to find what I'm looking for when I shop. I wear a lot of baseball/trucker hats but definitely prefer Fedoras. I'll be back when I have more time to look, and hopefully you are less busy.

Never thought I'd find a cool flat hat in Old Mesilla. But A Real Man had just the summer-weight, tan cap I wanted. And the owner Michael made the visit into a delightful conversation on just about everything. We'll be back next winter!

Hats, Hats and Hats. I am fair skinned and really need good hats. I really enjoy the sun and being out in it. El Paso is great like that thus the nickname sun city.I consider myself a hat connoisseur, so, I know what I am talking about. First off he was closing; we didn't realize we had just moseyed on down to that side of the plaza. It is located on the east corner of the plaza square. He had already turned off all the lights. When we walked in he called his wife and said hold dinner. I didn't feel obligated to buy I just thought it was sweet. He turned on the lights and showed me to the "ladies room" hats ranging from 18.00-50.00. He had all season hats but a lot of straw type with UV ratings of 30spf-50spf.I bought a great hat that I would never find in regular dept. stores. It is a black straw hat with a firm band for the wind or convertibles. It also has a stylish brim not too large to be a southern belle but large enough to keep the sun off my face.A definite go back every time I am in Cruces.

Went in to buy some new hats and settled on three which altogether cost more than $150. As the proprietor took his time ringing me up, he simultaneously shocked my ankles and feet so severely, nearly causing me to have a seizure in the store. I loved that store, but will neither endorse it nor return for any reason. It would have been much easier and better to have had a discussion regarding his extreme and bizarre beliefs than putting my life on the line for same.

Decided to make the trip from El Paso to check out the selection of hats for summertime. Was surprised at the variety he had and owner was there to help out and answer any questions I had. I bought 2 hats and was pleased with the service and my purchase. When I need another hat I will be going back. Also to support veteran owned businesses.

In spite of a 70 mile round trip from my home to this unique, customer friendly store, I know that I will be back. Unique shirts, an amazing variety of men's and women's hats and other items assures my return visit. The owner is knowledgeable about his products and seems honestly interested in helping you find an item that you will like. From affordable to mildly high end, I always find something I like. I will return. Owner is obviously veteran / military friendly and can recommend nearby restaurants. My daughter and I both look forward to our next visit to A Real Man in Old Mesilla, NM.
