6 Strings Bar

6 Strings is located in the same shopping center as Tokyo House on Airway, that's how I noticed it. A sports bar/pool hall during the day that turns into a loud super-packed club at night, which is quite common in El Paso. As these places tend to go, your night will be as good as the people you are with at the time, but the bar itself is pretty good. They've got decent specials, good bartenders, and on weekend nights they have hot chicks dancing on the bar. I had fun here, its worth checking out.

I don't normally give a place 1 star, but I feel like people should be aware of what may happen here. Went here with a friend and I only ordered 1 drink, then received only one receipt. The next day I'm scanning my bank statements and I see they charged me twice. I only signed for an $8 bill and for some reason I was also charged a $27 bill.I tried to call them with the number listed on yelp, it doesn't work. So I google the numbers, two numbers don't work either. My friend messages them, they don't reply. And then I start reading reviews on Facebook to find out people experienced similar incidents. I hope management reads this, because I want my money back. If you're coming here, use ONLY cash. Do not use your card. The place was all right for a hangout, drinks were all right too. But customer service, nope.

One of the dirtiest places I've seen in a while...it's amazing to me that they're still open. The bleach smell when you first walk in should be a sign that they're covering the nasty vomit smell that wafts up your nose hairs after you get used to the chemicals. Their liquor selection is unorganized so you don't really know what they have to offer. The display of beers in their beer cooler is broken with the entire cover of the bottom fridge missing, so you can see all the build up of dirt and bottle caps over the years. As much as I like dive bars, this place is just plain unsanitary. I felt sick after drinking the Tequila soda I ordered...the bartender was sweet enough to still leave a good tip, but her outfit she was wearing should've been on someone a little smaller. I'm all about cute outfits to wear at work, but she just looked uncomfortable. All in all, I'm happy to say I won't come back to this place until they get a deep clean and a better liquor selection on.

Nice atmosphere and good service. Fyi no draft beer but daily specials. Dianne is a great bartender. Dart league on Wednesday.

I came in because the paper had mentioned a sublime tribute at 9:30. I was stoked, so I went over around 8:40 to get seating and start the night a little bit early. It was empty. I was told there was no drink specials for the night. I ordered a cranberry and vodka. I got a very light pink water with alcohol. So I sit waiting with my crappy drink for this band to show and I ask when they will start. She told me at 10. So I wait it out. Then 10:30 comes and no sign of live music anywhere. I paid my drink and left. Waste of time and waste of money. If you plan on keeping customers, be a little bit more reliable. I don't think I'll ever be returning here

Best service, always a great bartender, good drinks. Sometime the crowd is weird but always a good vibe- overall love this place

The two bartenders, where complete a-holes They ignored us for 30 minutes until I went and got the person in charge. They both gave us an ugly look and refused to serve us. It almost felt like they didn't enjoy doing what they did and where only there because they needed a paycheck. If you want to be ignored and treated like another number, this is the perfect place for you.
