I have ordered it way more times than I have yelped it. I highly recommend. You may have to wait, it may be busy, the price is a bit high. But, it's the best green enchiladas anywhere!"

"I was excited to try Rivas Taco Shop after seeing they have the Cali burrito on their menu. I was born and raised in SoCal so I've had plenty of Cali burritos in my lifetime and was happy to see a place in El Paso that offered it.The spot is big and clean. Plenty of tables for customers and it was decorated nicely. The girl taking our order was very friendly and helpful when I asked for their sizing of sides.My husband ordered the shrimp quesadilla, he has yet to try it so no comment on that as of yet. We decided to share the Cali burrito and the carne asada fries. I will say that the portions are a good size! Good enough for sharing. I ordered the Cali burrito with sour cream and the carne asada fries with no beans. My husband did state that he liked the burrito, which I agree it was pretty good.The fries were a letdown though. I think both my husband and I didn't care too much for them. The carne asada was a bit chewy, kind of made it difficult to eat. I will also add that we both got sides of sour cream and it tasted off to us. Very watery consistency and just didn't really taste like sour cream, not sure what it was but it kind of threw off my meal.Overall I'm not sure I would come back. We spent over $40 for our food and I personally don't feel the quality and taste of the food was worth it. But that's just my opinion. I will continue to search for a good Mexican spot in El Paso. Rivas was decent, but I wouldn't say I loved their food. I may just have high expectations though."

"Came here for a gal pal's bridal shower and it was perfect. The noise level was just right- enough energy to keep us going but low enough that we could have great conversations. The food was tasty and delicious and of course the drinks well they're famous all on their own. The price is right and there's plenty of parking. This place is iconic to El Paso so if you haven't been here yet, make it a point."

"Chala's was recommended by our hotel staff so we decided to try it. We ordered their pork chop special. It was very thick-cut bone in pork chop, very juicy and delicious. It came with potatoes and vegetables. Their steak fajita was really tasty too. Very juicy cut of steak with all the fixings; perfect with flour tortilla. Save room for dessert because their tres leches cake was really tasty and it was big enough to share between the two of us and then have leftover. Enjoy! Highly highly recommend!! We will be back when we're back in town."

"When we walked into Habanero's, we were really confused because we thought it would be a regular table service type of restaurant. It was actually order at the counter and take a number set up. But, that was ok. We tried their mahi mahi fish tacos and enchilada Del Mar. Both entrees were absolutely amazing. We can taste the authenticity of the food. Rice and beans were also delicious; we almost licked the plate. Will be back again for sure. Highly recommend!!"

"Out of few authentic Mexican food restaurants we tried in the area, Si Senor was most upscale. It gets busy here, but we managed to get a table right away. They have very beautiful dining room complete with a fountain in the center. Beef tacos were so so, but the beans and rice were really delicious. Their combo plate is perfect if you don't know what to order...little bit of everything. Portion sizes are huge; enough to share. Their chips come with multiple dipping options. It was fun trying them all. Highly recommend!!"

"This place is so cute! I came in during brunch time on a Sunday and they had live music playing which added to the vibe of the restaurant. The food was delicious and gave a modern twist to Mexican cuisine. I ordered an iced matcha latte and chilaquiles which was pretty tasty. I also had the churro waffles as a dessert and omg they were to die for. 4 stars because the service could have been better. Although my waitress was nice, she could have been more attentive. I saw my churro waffles sitting on the counter waiting to be delivered for literally 10 min while the restaurant only had 5 tables sat. Regardless, I would still come back if I'm ever in the area."

"This place is a party inside so be prepared for LOUD MUSIC AND LOUD PEOPLE!!! They always have entertainment on stage and it's always someone's birthday. I always come when my friend is in town because she loves the queso fundido con chorizo. The margaritas are so good but they don't have pitchers :/ ... maybe that's a good thing for my safety. Ok so the flautas and fajitas are so good!!! I'm not a fan of the rice but is because it was dry. The salsa they have is so good and if you want hotter just ask them for the hot red one and they'll bring it out. I've written a few reviews on this place and my experience hasn't changed ... "So it all started this weekend- I had been teaching back to back Pilates classes and then going to the gym to work me out and by the time I got home I was craving meat. Juicy, fork tender meat. Leo's came to mind but was a bit far and I was exhausted so I ordered delivery of carnitas from a place closer to my house- big mistake- the food was good but did not hit the spot. The craving kept growing g all week and I just went there on my way home from running errands and it was well worth it. The carnitas were perfectly seasoned and seared and fork tender. They came with a little lettuce and tomato and guacamole, beans and cheese- no rice which was perfect for me. Ahhh yes- they were so good and hit the spot!"

"We pulled in to a small town named Benson on the road back to Tucson to grab a very late lunch.We Yelped this spot and it did not disappoint.Husband had the birria (soup) with beef which reminded us of a Mexican equivalent of a Korean yukkae jang (spicy shredded beef soup). I ordered the vegetable tortilla soup with a sprinkling of queso and coriander which hit the spot. It was refreshing, satisfying and not heavy. The usual nachos and picante was a reasonable amount for two people. "I've been to the Carlos and Mickeys location by Ft Bliss a couple times so I kind of knew what to expect going in. I'm surprised the decor doesn't really match the other location, which I thought was nice. It kind of gave an authentic Mexican restaurant experience. However, this location definitely feels more corporate. It's still nice though, I just missed all the fun decor.My husband and I sat in the bar area which was somewhat busy at the time. I will say we both felt bad for the poor bartender that was running around making drinks, taking orders from customers at the bar while also handling customers seated at the high top tables. I definitely think he was overworked and needed help because the service was quite slow due to him handling so many areas.We ordered the bandido fries as appetizer. Be forewarned, it is actually huge potato wedges rather than actual fries. We were surprised by what we were served but it didn't taste bad. The description just made it sound like loaded fries.For drinks I got the mango margarita and my husband ordered a beer on tap. The regular size margarita is good size for one person but I did see a HUGE size they offer that looks like it's meant for a group. The flavor was very light but still there. I'd definitely try other flavors next time, they have alot of fruity options!For our main course, my husband ordered the shrimp fajitas and I got the Mexico City combination. My combination consisted of a taco, enchilada, tamale and chile relleno - with beans and rice on the side. Everything tasted good, I will say the tamale was a tad bit dry. The Chile relleno was huge and filled with soooo much cheese. A big plus for anyone that favors this dish.Overall the quality of food matches the other Carlos and Mickeys location. I get that this isn't super authentic Mexican food but it does the job. Other than the service lacking, I'd say it was a good experience. Hopefully they can learn to have an actual server help with the bar area so guests aren't waiting a long time for service."

"Great service, delicious food, and drinks. I recently visited this restaurant for the second time, and I can confidently say it's now my favorite Mexican place in El Paso! So far, I've only tried the combo fajitas, but they're so delicious that I keep coming back just for them. The fajitas are perfectly cooked, flavorful, and tender every bite.What really sets this place apart for me is the fact that they serve Chambord, which makes a Cadillac margarita extra good, with that extra shot. It's a small detail, but it really elevates the whole drink. Let's not forget about the chips and salsa...the salsa has a tasty kick to it. Be warned, though--it can sneak up on you, so be prepared! Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed with this restaurant. Great service & food, awesome drinks, and a nice atmosphere. I can't wait to go back!"

"I decided to take my sister out for an early dinner. We went in and were greeted with a bubbly hostess who sat us and asked what we wanted to drink and we both got some sweet tea. The place is quaint with murals painted on the walls. My sister ordered the two shrimp taco plate and I ordered the chicken flauta plate. After having some chips and hot salsa, we ate and enjoyed our meal. They were both quite tasty. My sister was overwhelmed with her meal. She couldn't stop talking about it and said it was the most authentic she's had in such a long time and gave it a 10 out of 10. I definitely recommend anyone that comes around Las Cruces NM. give this place a go. We'll definitely be back. I need to try these awesome margaritas I've heard so much about as well. Miguel was our server and he was polite and professional. We also met Raymond and he was a nice gentleman from the family owned restaurant."

"I was at the Outlet mall and needed to pick up something to take home to eat. I had heard about this place and wanted to see what the hype was all about, so I stopped in. The menu has something for everyone- not a Mexican food lover, well, there are hamburger baskets and fries. I did go for the Gordita stuffed with chunks of pork in a red sauce that was seasoned just right. I did get a side of fries that I will ask to be crispier next time because that is just my preference but the size of the side order was good. I also got a churro- warm and crispy and soft on the inside with lots of cinnamon sugar. Evy was wrapped perfectly so as to not spill or leak and stay warm until I got home. I did not have to reheat anything! The gentleman that was helping me was very friendly and told me about the history of the restaurant and showed me the wall of awards and memorabilia. A few famous faces have dined here including a member of the Eagles, former President Bush and others. Some of their items were featured in Gourmet magazine and they have been a category on Jeopardy! They do have several TVs and all kinds of beers if you want to have you game watch party there- why cook?I am so glad I stopped in and tried this place out!"

"After driving through an ice storm and past 3 accidents we were ready for the warm sopapillas and honey. We call at 5:47 pm and Yelp says they close at 8:30 pm. She tells us they are closing at 6 pm, YIKES!!! I tell her we are 21 mins away and we've just driven from California. She asks me to hold. Comes back and asks what we want. I of course over order. A pint of Chile con queso with extra chips, chicken enchiladas (Christmas), Gorditas and sopapillas. They make such delicious con queso, a nice heat with the right saltiness with the creamy cheese. The Gorditas are full of ground beef and finished with shredded lettuce and cheese. Tender chicken wrapped in corn tortillas and generously sauced with red and green sauce. Finish off with a crispy sopapillas and honey. Yum. Good to back in New Mexico."

"This was hands down the best menudo I have ever had!!!! It was not too thick and had the right amount of meat. The hominy was a great throwback as the East and West coast menudos do not include it. Having bread instead of tortillas was a great mix as well. I'm definitely coming here for my menudo when I visit again."
