I came here for the chicken tortilla soup. I wasnt let down. The wait staff was fast and friendly. There is a cute cafe vibe. Also there is a group of regulars that gives the place an added warm feeling to it. Though we came for breakfast, we all ordered lunch stuff. I opted for the chile rellenos. Yum! Kids both got chicken flauta plates. My Mom said she wasnt too hungry but managed to clean her plate just fine :-)Next trip to ELP, I am coming back !!"

Bertha M. "Although the parking is extremely limited I beg you to disregard that and enter this fabulous space. The decor reminds me of a quiet bistro. No music, no TVs! Upon entering you see the open kitchen at the far end. The decor is minimalist but still lovely. The bathroom is pristine! I just could not decide what I wanted to order so I chose the Carrot/Ginger Soup and Red Bell Pepper Tartare. Once my food started arriving I knew this was a restaurant I would be visiting often, at least to give everything on the menu a go. I rarely take photos of my food but these menu items were so spectacularly perfect I could not help taking the photos so I could continue to enjoy thinking about what I ate. Onto my meal:The Carrot/Ginger was wonderful. Lush and smooth it was beautifully prepared. It is the only soup on the menu but it was a stand out. Next let me tell you about the tartare: I have enjoyed many tartares in my time, be it steak, salmon or numerous other ingredients but I had never had a vegetable tartare. This was wonderfully presented and scooping up mouthfuls with the crispy lavash was great. Very flavorful. Lastly, I generally do not order sweets because as the name suggests they are sweet. The Canelé de Bordeaux was the perfect little bite. Not overly sweet but again a beautiful little treat. We should gather together, hire a bus and come here to relax, eat wonderfully prepared and presented food and just discuss all we are eating! Who's with me on this?"

Vic F. "ALWAYS FOR THE BROS (AND LADY BROS)PSA: SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES!In a time of mass quarantine, my only regret is never learning how to make delicioso Mexican food. While I could have taken this time to learn, it is much easier to leave it to the professionals. With a vast menu with endless meats, I come to you live from my home in El Paso to talk about Dos Bros Mexican Kitchen (who also happens to have excellent customer service). If you have a craving for tacos, carne asada fries, and more, then this one is for you. In the meantime, stay safe, eat merrily, and enjoy your life...at home of course! Andale pues! The FOOD: FEAST OF EVERYTHINGBarbacoa (slow cooked beef) Tacos: CARNE MAS RICOS-VERY RICH MEATSBarbacoa flows through these tortillas like rich blood in a carnivore's veins. Each bite is intensified by deep, umami flavors of slow cooked beef with the appropriate spices. You see the strands of lean meat, but taste the full fattiness and beefiness that coats your tongue. The meat is a bit salty, but is perfect with the seasoned Mexican rice, fresh and minty cilantro, spicy kick of the white onion, and tangy and refreshing lime. What I love about this barbacoa is that it is not too greasy (there was little to no grease in the container!). Al Pastor (grilled, marinated pork) Tacos: BLESSED BY THE PIGA pig sacrificed to enrich us needs to be properly blessed, and the chefs have blessed up with Al Pastor. Sweet, tangy, umami, salty, and everything else that takes your taste buds into ecstasy. Not too much grease, which is always a blessing (shout out to my coronary arteries!) especially when the flavor is still alive. The grilled green onions pairs well with the cilantro to provide a herbal earthiness that balances the intense Al Pastor. The Mexican rice just puts everything together and feels like home away from home. Deshebrada (brisket) Gordita: THE TEX-ICAN ESSENTIAL: CORN + BRISKETFirst thing you notice is the rich golden colors of the gordita, then you notice the crunch. The brisket provides the robust and clean beefiness, while the corn gordita provides sweetness. The lettuce pairs with the crunch of the gordita and matches well with the fresh tomatoes. There is thick helping of white cheese that provides the ooey-gooeyness that we all know and love. Great palate cleanser for those who want a break from overly greasy Mexican food.Steak Fries: CRAVINGS PERSONIFIEDThick fries with a crunch on the outside and fluffiness on the inside (is this not the dream?). With a rich layer of white cheese, these Steak Fries achieve a chewy richness that anyone would love. Sour cream and guacamole add more moisture, creaminess, and freshness to these fries to truly make it a party. Pico de gallo adds a fresh tanginess alongside the jalapenos that add some spiciness to really get you addicted. Carne asada adds a meaty beefiness also. However, the fries and carne asada seem too lightly salted and make these Steak Fries a little bland (-0.5 star).Carne Asada Burrito: TEX-ICAN ESSENTIAL part 2: CARNE ASADA + TORTILLAQuick and simply a tortilla filled with a generous portion of carne asada. Definitely the perfect match for the meat and carbs lovers or anyone who needs a quick and filling meal. The meat is flavorful and just chew enough. Add some sauces if you need more than just meat and tortilla. The VERDICT: VIVA LAS CARNES!If this was the last meal that I had on Earth, I would not even complain. But my only regret would be not having a second serving, which I definitely would do. Dos Bros Mexican Kitchen specializes in the meats, like a physician specializes in medicine. These doctors of the meats put together rich, tasty Mexican classics as well as modern Mexican-American interpretations like carne asada fries. They are generous with the salsa to-go as well as ketchup and any other sauces. Al Pastor Tacos exploded with a rich tangy, sweet, umami, meaty, grilled flavor that only gets better with the grilled onions. Barbacoa Tacos have a rich beefiness that would make any beef lover fall in love again. Steak Fries had crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside fries, but the fries and carne asada were a bit undersalted and made them seem bland. Carne Asada Burrito and Brisket Gordita were classics that were filling and not too overwhelming. Overall, I love how the food was not too greasy and enjoyed how they had close attention to detail to all their dishes. I was very satisfied and I will definitely be back."

Each order is a heap of avocado chunks, carrot slivers, diced tomatoes, either shrimp or fish chunks and plenty of lime all settled atop of a crisp corn tortilla. They're served with hot salsa and extra tortilla chips to scoop up all that fresh goodness. My coworker always orders the fish fillet sautéed in garlic and he raves about it. Each plate contains a lightly browned crispy fish fillet, side order of fries, shredded lettuce and toasted buttered bolillo bread. The prices are low and service is good. The staff are primarily Spanish speaking and they move quick. They just recently began accepting debit and credit cards, it was formerly cash only. The space is small but we've always found seating. Circulation is poor and it tends to be muggy on hot days. Parking is on the side of the building and only accommodates around 5 vehicles. Still stands as one of my top favorites for cool ceviche tostadas and an ice cold Coca-Cola."

So I reversed the car to ring the bell. She did not look like she wanted to be there. Maybe she was having a bad day. Who hasn't had a bad day? Anyways, when I asked for a taro boba tea she said they didn't have the chewy tapioca balls. It seems like every time I go here they are out of the tapioca balls. Smh I am not sure how many customers they served daily but don't you check your supply to make sure you aren't low on something that would make the drink complete? She still asked if I wanted the drink without the tapioca balls? Um, no thanks. Like I said it's a hit or miss with the boba drinks here but the yogurt is good. Including the variety of iced teas! The staff is super helpful if you have any questions or need something specific due to dietary needs as well. We have often had dinner at 3PM to make sure we get plenty as well as get food to-go! It's worth it!Despite the demand and crowd combined with open air concept, they keep all the tables, condiments, and drink station SPOTLESS! And there's never any food on the playground or corn hole. I was finally able to try them at the Country Club Farmers Market recently and I'm glad I did! They have a pretty extensive menu of various teas and smoothies, along with slushes. They also have ice cream, waffles and shaved ice. I got a pina colada slush and I liked it. It could have used just a little bit more flavor but I still liked it. Maybe more coconut or pineapple juice? My bf got a coconut boba tea. He said it was strong but he liked it. I also wanted to try their Taiyaki fish-shaped waffles. They were super good! You get three of them per order. They can be filled with cheesecake, Nutella or red bean. I chose cheesecake and Nutella. I'm not really a fan of red bean. The waffles also come with a side of vanilla ice cream drizzled in chocolate syrup. There's also banana and strawberry slices on the side! This was delicious! I didn't mind the 15 or 20 minute wait. The total for the three items was $18 and change. It was worth it. The young lady who was helping me out was really nice and polite. I would definitely order from again. I read on social media that they also opened a shop inside of Cielo Vista Mall recently. I'm down to trying it! I'm going to say 4.5 stars for this transaction. This time I'm not rounding up."

I stood there in front of the hostess for more than 5 minutes before she acknowledged my presence. My order was simple, but I requested point brisket instead of flat. She told me "you get the cut that you get". They won't accompany this request. This really rubbed me wrong. What bbq joint won't let you specifically have point if you request it?The food: the brisket was delicious. Absolutely excellent fat rendering and flavor. They did bring me only point meat which was appreciated. The sausage was very good but not really stand-out. The pork ribs had an excellent flavored and textured bark, but unfortunately were way undercooked. I'm not a "fall off the bone" guy at all, but these were still densely stuck to the bone (see my pic). I do think ribs should retain enough structure to see a bite mark, but the bone should not still be adherent to the meat like this. Too bad bc the flavor was delicious.I highly recommend the side dishes. The green chili cheese rice was delicious and the macaroni was also awesome. The cornbread was very good. Zero complaints about side dishes. Overall, I would give this place for stars for the reasons above. It was certainly three star service, and pork ribs (maybe I just got an undercooked sample). 5 stars for the brisket and sides. 4 stars for the sausage."

Shayla B. "If I was judging solely by the wines that I tried, this review would easily be 2 stars. But their charming estate, casual atmosphere, and fun company is what earns them 3 stars. Decided to do some wine tasting while I was in the area, and La Viña was my first winery stop for the day. The first thing that caught my eye was their charming little estate. I've seen grander estates, but this one was the most charming out of all the wineries that I visited in the area. It was also neat to learn that La Viña is New Mexico's oldest winery. I loved the brick arch near the entrance and their cute double balcony in the front. Inside is cozy and bright with mustard colored walls and wine barrels with glass overlays set as little tasting tables. They also have a huge lawn space in the back where they host several large events during the year. They conduct their tastings by pre-poured flights which costs $10 for 3 tastes. The pours are pretty generous and you can choose what wines you want to try. Service was pretty slow at the counter, but they only had 2 wine stewards working that day, so not sure if they were just short staffed. Since I had never tried their wines before, I asked for suggestions on certain varietals. Neither of the ladies could really describe or recommend anything in particular to me. This was disappointing, but I just braved it and picked out what sounded like the best for my taste.I tasted there Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay, and Cab Franc. The Gewürz and Chard were way too sweet for my liking. It was almost syrupy like. The Gewürz was more on the floral end whereas the Chard was buttery. They weren't terrible, but not really my style. The Cab Franc was really, really light. I'd say even lighter than a Pinot which is unusual. It did have a nice earthy tone to it. Overall, I just wasn't all of that impressed. Even for table wine, I wouldn't purchase any of the wines that I tried. Their saving grace in my opinion was the friendly patrons in the wine bar. I met some really sweet people and we chatted for most of the time that I was there. People are really friendly here and this makes the atmosphere enjoyable. So for the social aspect, this is a nice place to chill and hang out. But when it comes to the actual wine and service, it's not all that impressive."
