El Maestro del Taco

We eat here once a week! Tacos are uncomplicated and soooo yummy!!! A must try!! Service is great and tacos are always ready pretty quickly. I can't say this enough...A MUST TRY!!!

Cheap, authentic Mexican tacos! This is a hidden gem located in Des Moines on Pacific Highway. I work a couple of blocks away and I never knew this taco truck existed until it was introduced by a coworker. PROS: Food: I'm pretty simple and basic when it comes to tacos. I always get asada. The BEST asada that I've ever had. The meat is always so tender, moist and full of flavor. It's served with the basic garnish (cilantro, fresh onion and lime). They have one of the best homemade salsas. I love their salsa verde! Service: The owners are very nice. The service is very quick if you're in a hurry. Price: Very affordable! $1.25 per taco. Cons: The location is very hidden, you can easily drive past it. It is parked right behind Chevron. If you past KFC then you've gone too far.Tip: Cash only establishment! There is an ATM inside Chevron. You can call them ahead of time if you are in a hurry.

I must say this is by far the best taco truck I've been to with consistent food.. But the prices are weird or they over charge I just let it slide as a tip because the food is that damn good!!--grilled onions and fresh ingredients my type of party!!

Tacos Tuesday... Well I guess not for me. Came here just this past Tuesday at 7:30pm. Pretty early.. well as I walked up to the truck the woman was closing the window. I asked if she was closed and she said "yes". I asked what time they closed (any other day I drive by late in the evening they are open) she said "I don't know" and walked away. Talk about bad customer service.

*** REVIEW # 1100!! *** Always have to have a Yelp find as a milestone review! Had this place bookmarked forever! FINALLY found it (thanks fellow yelpers who responded to my cry for help to find it!).We had the carne asada burrito(s) ($4.50) - FANTASTIC and I usually don't even like burritos. The horchata ($1) was delicious. Got adobada tacos ($1!) tons of delicious meat on homemade tortillas with lots of fried onions - sooo good!! Feed me and the 2 devil babies for $15!!! Definitely adding this to our rotation (if they had pineapple in the pork tacos - it would have been Nirvana.....).

Amazing! Food and service was great!!! Not an ideal location but easy enough to find! Highly recommended!!

Their tacos are to die for! And their tortas are big and filling! You can't go wrong stopping in for a nice bite too eat here.

Hands down best tacos! Really the best Mexican food period! The price is right too!

LOCATED BETWEEN KFC AND CHEVRON IN THE CHEVRON PARKING LOT. This place never shows up in my search because the hours aren't listed. I passed by it by chance when we came to the chevron station it was parked at. I've got to say, we love Mexican food, and this was some of the best we've ever had. The tacos are $1.25 a piece. The Carne asada burrito was huge, and DELICIOUS. The horchata is $1 for a 12 oz cup I think. My husband said it's the best he's ever had. The person working in the truck was so nice, despite the language difference. We will definitely be back.

Amazing food I have to say. This food truck is amazing. Food is great and extremely cheap.The location is not ideal since no one could really see it. They also only take cash which is sometimes a down. But overall, I rather eat here than in a restaurant since it's cheaper and actually tastes better since you eat it right away.
