One of my favorite spots to grab a quick bite around the Commons. Food is really affordable, which is a nice switch-up from some of the other restaurants in the area. It's usually bustling but they work through the line quickly! The burritos here are a good size -- would highly recommend. They charge extra for any additional ingredients, whether it's a protein or a generic ingredient like beans/rice, so watch out! Have heard good things about their bowls from friends.

First time trying this place. I have been to Boston many times and some friends have bragged about it. I also heard the lines were long. But I was lucky when I walked in. I dropped by probably after the big lunch crowds came in. Anyway, we ordered the following ... *3 Al pastor tacos -No rice no beans Roasted veggies Plantains Pickled onions Lettuce Cilantro Mango salsaGreen salsa Pico de gallo And *3 Camarones ( shrimp) Tacos LettuceClantro Lime RiceCheeseRed cabbageRefried BeansCilantro & OnionsRoasted VeggiesGuacamolePlantainsBoth kinds of tacos were pretty good. Fairly priced with a lot of ingredients. The tacos are doubled in tortillas. (I can only imagine how yummy they are as tortilla chips as they are nice and thin.) If you get them with pico de gallo and sauces, you gotta eat them right away or the tacos get a little soggy. I tried the shrimp without the sauces to consume later and they were perfect. Look forward to trying other items when I'm back in town!

After walking 20,000 steps in Boston I think we deserved some tacos. We stopped at el Jefe's taqueria. I had 2 carnitas and 1 chorizo taco. My husband tried 2 al pastor and 1 carne asada. I had to have my favorite drink Hibiscus tea.We topped the tacos with our favorite toppings and squeezed a lime over them and popped it into our mouths!Seriously they were gone in minutes. It was busy when we got there, people were in and out. They did have tables and restrooms only for customers. They have a rack of hot sauces to choose from. They are near the Boston Public Garden so could probably order take out and have a taco picnic. If you're in this area I recommend you pop in and try el Jefe's tacos with Mexican authenticity.

The food here is excellent. They give you both quality and quantity. There is no extra charge for quac or sour cream. I've been going here for the past two years and honestly, I prefer this over Chipotle. They do not skimp you. The meat selection is amazing. My personal favorite is the Al pastor. Highly recommend coming here!TIP : Sign up for their free rewards program. You earn points for every dollar. Every 50 points, you get $5 off!

I went in for a quick meal, getting a burrito ($10.75) and chips & salsa ($4). Chips were hot and fresh, decently salted, with just the right thickness to scoop salsa and not break. Salsa tasted fresh as well.Burrito experience is similar to Chipotle's assembly line. Notably, you have more options available, like Mexican rice, diced onions, and more proteins. Burrito wrapping game is also solid. My burrito has carnitas and salsa, which could make for a sloppy wet burrito, but I didn't have to deal with burrito juice leaking. Also, guac is not extra.
