Food is Fantastic! Service is over the top. Claudia a very hard worker that always greets you with a smile. Always checks orders to make sure you get what you ordered correctly. Claudia remembers my order in case I forget... That is at the 2025 E Chandler Blvd location. I look forward to the 1 to 2 times a week that I treat myself and family to El Gordo Mexican Grill. Great food when you're on the run.This lil gem is hidden inside a gas station. However don't judge. The food is excellent, portion sizes are large, and the prices are wallet friendly. This is a great place to eat if your on the run.We went through the drivevthru and ordered a chorizo/rgg burritos, carne asada fries, chicken and carnita tacos. Everything was really very good. The burrito was one of the best I've had in a while. The carne asada fries and chicken and carnitas tacos were also delicious. Since the last writing I 've run down the column for breakfast burritos in the $5.75 range. What is most of interest is the machaca breakfast burrito. It is based on beef, but has vegetables in it. Try it! It tastes more like an eggroll than any other. It is based on beef but has vegetables. If you don't want it for breakfast try it at lunch time. If you don't like Mexican food, and you are forced to order at gun point, get this one. It will save you life. Trust me. You will like it!!!

Yelp did not disappoint! Breakfast burritos hit the spot! We got 1 sausage & 1 chorizo + beans. The beans are fire! The tortillas were soft & delicious. I would order light cheese next time or without it. Service was nice & fast. There's plenty of seating. They have hood daily specials I'de come back to try.

We just recently moved to the area and this little gem quickly became our go to while we were packing/moving! It has continued to be one of our favorites! Such an unexpected treat! Delicious carne asada, always juicy and fresh! The staff are so friendly and guac sauce is yummy with a little kick! If you like spicy try the fried bacon wrapped jalapeños DELISH!! Don't underestimate this place because it's next to a gas station! I was in the area temporarily and was legit one minute away from this spot and decided to try it on my last night. I ordered the street tacos which include guacamole and onions. I tried the carne asada (my favorite, super tender meat and enough flavoring), carnitas (okay, more so bland, but at least the carnitas was soft as pulled apart), pollo (least favorite). They have a little fridge that contained other salsas and the crema sauce which was bomb. Utensils and napkins were right around the corner, there were a few tables to sit and if you walk a few steps over the gas station is there lol. Super convenient! I would definitely try this place if you're in town and want a quick bite to eat!

The food was awesome! The service was slow as a walkin. The drive through apparently takes priority for the timely service. People were nice. I had to bus my own table to be able to sit and eat. I'll go back for the food!I'll give that a 5!

El Gordo was such a great find! It has amazing food, every item I've ordered has been delicious (breakfast burritos, birria ramen, birria tacos). The service is also great, the gentleman at the front counter is very nice and helpful. I definitely recommend it!

Second time I've been here this week so it's definitely good!! Burritos are big but combo plate a bit on the smaller portion for the sides, generous on the tacos. Very very tasty and reasonably priced!
