Consistently flavorful/delicious and wonderful, friendly service. I've eaten here for my past 2 birthday meals and when I mentioned that they kindly gifted me an order of churros, which was unnecessary but deeply appreciated. Always 5 stars and this time a bonus thank you star.

Definitely one of the best places I have been eat for a long time. The service was fast and started to make the food after ordering from the cashier. The dining room was clean and open My wife, a native Mexican, approves of this place. The food is amazing, might be slightly on the pricey side, but worth every penny. The Taco Trio is the best item on the menu as it shows the extend of the cooking skill for such a small new restaurant.We will definitely be back over and over again.

I'm still giving this place 5 stars but because their taco trio has the best 3 tacos in town and everytime we order them they are fantastic. Especially the Shrimp Governador.But when I stray away from those, we are disappointed. The fish taco lacked flavor. The traditional Enchiladas weren't very good at all. My husband gave them 2.5 out of 5 stars because he didn't like the sauce which was too tomato-ey, the meat lacked seasoning, and he said it had too much cabbage. But he wanted to make sure I still maintained 5 stars for my review because the Taco Trio is soo good.

El Fogon was an amazing find in Ahwatukee. The taco shop has other options as well and is located in a strip mall off the new 202 extension. There is a decent amount of dining inside the restaurant, however there are no outside seating areas.The menu has a variety of speciality tacos, along with quesadillas, burritos, and a couple of plated specials. I was blown away by the quality of the food and authentic taste. I had the al pastor quesadilla, and others with me had a variety of tacos which all looked amazing. The flavors were strong, and the food was perfect without being overly cheesy as you can often find with a quesadilla.The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food and the service was very prompt. It was a little confusing with the table-side delivery, however it was a busy time on a Friday night so we have to give some grace. Overall, this spot was fantastic and I can't believe it took us so long to find it. A must try!!

It is a Fogon conclusion that for good Mexican food eats in the 'Tukee head to El Fogon. They seriously have some legit tacos. We ordered a wide array of several types and left full and happy. I had the fish taco and shrimp taco and tried a bite of the barbacoa. The tacos are double layered with corn tortillas which helps maintaining stability so that the taco doesn't fall apart. On some of the tacos they'll dip the outer tortilla in sauce and then fry it for some extra deliciousness. I enjoyed both of my seafood tacos. The fish was flaky and tender, and the shrimp were plump. The barbacoa was awesome and I'd probably opt to get this next time I'm here. They include some consomé to dip your taco which is a nice touch. The kiddo got a barbacoa taco kids meal which includes a drink, rice, beans, and your choice of protein with the taco. Her taco was also double tortilla'd. I'm trying to avoid my kid being a sugar and soda zombie so I was disappointed that there weren't really any good options for drinks for kids other than sodas, lemonade and Hi-C. At other similar restaurants they've offered milk which I would have opted for. I know that the very fact that I'm getting tacos and dining-in means I'm not getting the healthiest experience regardless but hey, you gotta splurge in some places and be more health conscious in others, ya know?I was also disappointed that there wasn't any more iced tea left at the drink counter. The small trickle of tea that I managed to get in my cup did taste good at least.

This place is amazing !!!! I absolutely love the shrimp carbon. I order a side of beans and rice with it. Everything is done so well here. Even the beans are rice are phenomenal. They have horchata to top it off. The dinning room is clean. The staff is attentive and friendly. Honestly I love this place and I'm sad it took me so long to make my way over there. A must try in Ahwatukee.

El Fogon was great. I had the Shrimp Gobernado taco and it was very flavorful. This restaurant is casual--you order at the counter and they bring it to your table. My husband loved his street tacos. Their alcohol premade, vendor drinks are a miss. I steered clear. Service was great--very friendly staff. We will be back.

The quick review is that after our meal, my wife and I discussed whether we had better Mexican food in PHX. The fact that this was the conversation speaks to how good the food is. Early last week, I came across El Fogan on Yelp's Top 100 Taco Places. We live down the 202 in Chandler and immediately wanted to try it during the weekend.We came in for an early lunch on a Saturday when there were 1-2 other tables filled but once lunchtime started, it was packed in the snap of a finger. Everyone that worked there was super friendly, and at no point did we feel rushed to pick our meal. The inside is super clean, and there are plenty of tables for small to large parties. With El Fogan on the top taco list, we ordered one fish taco, one barbacoa taco, and the ceviche tostada and enchiladas. All these items were super tasty; now, one bit was left uneaten. If I had to pick my favorite thing, it was probably the barbacoa taco with some beef consomme. Sprinkle in lime juice and salsa, then dip the taco into the consomme for a perfect bite!It is in a strip mall with ACE Hardware, and a couple of other shops, and plenty of parking is outside. For those wondering if it's deep into Ahwatukee, I wouldn't think so. It was two turns after exiting the freeway, so less than five once you get off.

The food is amazing! We always get a barbacoa taco, Carne con Chile, and an asada street burrito - all are fantastic and are perfectly spicy!
