Always good. The patio is lovely and peaceful with many plantings and a waterfall. Suggest a Cadillac margarita to start with their free chips and salsa.

The food here is really pretty good. The enchiladas are definitely above average and the others dishes, such as Pollo Fundido, are tasty. The chips and salsa are really good here and you can tell they put effort and love into the salsa preparation, which I really appreciate. The outside dining area is cool and the heating lamps help ward off any cool breezes this time of year. The bad news is the service isn't great and every time we come here we're greeted like they're horribly disappointed we decided to come eat there. The lady hostess kind of rolled her ancient eyes and huffed when we told them our party size.We typically have a large party, in fact our party was so big the last time so they gave us a prix fix menu with 6 items on it. Ok no problem, but if you don't want business or only certain party sizes and punish large parties why own and run a restaurant? Food is good, customer service abysmal.

This is some of the best food I've had in a long time. I had the vegetarian enchiladas and the entire meal was fantastic. Usually the vegetarian dish is kind of a throwaway without much consideration as to wether is truly delicious and this was. I also didn't have to wonder if the rice and beans were also vege, they were just were automatically and they were really good as well, flavorful. Everyone else had different enchiladas and raved over how incredible they were, and husband said the red sauce on his was some of the best he has ever had. The frozen prickly pear Margaritas were really good, but came with a sugar rim. I'll make a point to ask for a salt rim next time. The chips are thin, crispy, perfectly salted and the spread of three salsas are delicious. Definitely recommend.

Had a really nice lunch here last week with family. The food was piping hot and tasty. Chips were a bit dry, but the red salsa was chunky and flavorful. They have my favorite Mexican beer, Pacifico, so cheers to that. Our female server was very friendly and attentive. Overall, a most enjoyable meal!

El Encanto has been one of my local faves here in Fountain Hills but until recently they were not always open when I expected.This time, my wife and I were hoping to find a table since there was a huge car show in town.We got there around 6 and sat at the bar for about 5 minutes before a table opened up. The bartender was great and my Don Julio 1942 was a pleasure.We then sat down to Queso Fundido which was amazing, and you just HAVE to get the machamas with it. That crispy beef adds real depth to the Queso.I ordered the chicken with salsa, and my wife ordered the Chile Relleno con Pollo. Her chicken and Relleno were both muy delicioso. Somehow I didn't realize when I ordered my dish, that the chicken would be served in crispy tacos with the salsa inside. The chicken was a bit dry and there wasn't enough salsa on the taco, but at least I tried something new.All in all, dinner was fun and I urge you to try this place if you've never been here.One thing. They have a guitar player playing classical guitar, and the acoustics are such that it gets pretty loud in there with everybody talking.

Visited El Encanto, Fountain Hills location, with a friend for dinner last weekend and enjoyed a delicious dinner & live acoustic guitar music. We started with their Cadillac Margaritas on the rocks, and fresh hot chips, salsa, & chunky avocado guacamole (which we added some hot salsa to for a bit more fire), followed by our dinners: Vegetarian Enchiladas and Chile Rellanos. Both were delicious! We sat at the bar with top-notch service (kudos to bartender Sherri ~ taking care of the entire large packed restaurant). There was a 30 minute wait for our first choice ~ the twinkling lights outdoor patio with a large fireplace and heat lamps. So I'll be back again soon to enjoy the outdoor patio!

Food and drinks were excellent as was the service and the location to us in East Scottsdale was perfect.

Phones are always F*** up. No problem, food has gone down hill this past year. Avoid this place until they straighten things out.

We had a wonderful lunch on the patio enjoying the plants, trees and pond. The food was delicious! We had the Chicken Plato Burro, the chicken Enchiladas with black beans, and the grilled Pescado. The GM is a Fountain Hills full time resident and very committed to maintaining the quality, feel, hours, service. We will back again soon!

My wife and her friend went there for my wife's birthday. They ordered two shots of jack fire. They both almost threw up and said it tasted like cleaning detergent. My wife asked for the manager and said to try it. He said he doesn't drink and offered another shot of the same disgusting beverage !!! Absolutely disgusting. A " manager " should know better. Do not go there if you value your health. Oh and the manager did nothing to apologize or try to comp anything. Seems like a normal situation for them. You have lost customers.
