Even though the owner isn't very understanding of what we want, food is goood! We had gone in and asked for chicken tacos and for whatever reason he made carnea asada tacos It wasn't that big of a deal but he definitely acted like it was our fault. Food is gooood and big portioned thank goodness so it is worth the price

Pretty underwhelming. Food was not well seasoned. My tortillas of the tj tacos were a bit hard. The only good thing is that there was plenty of veggies on the rolled tacos. Also, I was able to get a refund for the tj tacos, so that was nice of them. The place was clean, and had nice pictures on the wall. But there we're packing boxes on some of the benches which detracts.

El Cuervo is one of my favorite family owned Mexican mom and pops. Their carne asada is marinated well with what I believe are hot carrots and pico. The Carne Asada Chimichanga is huge and tastes amazingly juicy, cheesy and delicious. I've also had their carne asada sans tortilla so it's an option if you don't want the carbs. Also just had the plain carne asada burrito in the past and it's tasty.El Cuervo is also my workplace's favorite place for breakfast burritos. We order the Chorizo, Carne Asada, Bacon and Machaca burritos and they cut them in half or thirds if we ask them to. Also love their salsa bar - pico and the red sauce are my faves.This is a typical counter service restaurant and the service is friendly and typically prompt. There is plenty of table seating in the dining room snd, except occasionally at the lunch hour, I've rarely had trouble finding a table here. While this place isn't as popular as some of the more trendy and Mexican places around San Diego it's absolutely one of my favorite go-to's. Parking can be a bit of a challenge at times now that they no longer have the lot immediately adjacent to the restaurant anymore but it's worth it.

Maybe we made the mistake of ordering breakfast. With that being said, it was not up to par at all and super disappointing. Especially regarding the fact that the restaurant was literati empty at 900 am. I didn't get the over easy eggs I ordered. The hash browns were soggy. Bacon lacked crunch and over salted. The pictures you will see below is what we are throwing away which is super outside of our norm. That's how disappointed we were. Sorry. Gotta be honest. Message me if you wanna chat at all.

I was craving a breakfast burrito before work so I purposefully came here a bit early to have time to enjoy my meal. I was the very first customer at 8am. Someone else was waiting for them to open, but apparently he couldn't wait so I got the place to myself.Parking: street and lot available.Not busy yet on this holiday morning (President's Day).With the Yelp check in I saved 10%, bringing my order to $7.25 + tip.The Breakfast Burrito: Super fresh obviously.Nice, fat, arm sized - or, fat-arm-sized burrito. Either way it was thick! In a good way.It had a little more potato than egg than I like.Bacon, thick cut.Not greasy or overly salted at all.Hot sauce: one each green and redNot thinned out or watery.Green was mild and citrusy.Red was spicy, although not too hot.My bb craving was satiated.The staff: Super nice and friendly.Will come back for Taco Tuesday for sure!

The food is a 10 out of 10. However, I felt a little bamboozled after we ordered all of our food. Our total came out to 40+ dollars they're really smart their sales tactics make it so that you order everything you want and then you're hit with the price later was it worth $40? Probably not but the food was delicious and I don't think other restaurants compared to this place so I will be back spending an additional $40 next week.

I wanted to like this place with all the good reviews it has but just couldn't agree. Paid $35 + $5 tip for 2 fountain drinks & 2 cali burritos that was pretty gross & dissapointing. Carne asada was very chewy & the fries were hardly cooked. Both burritos were wrapped horribly & loaded with sour cream which made it messy & fall apart quick. Maybe burritos arent their specialty but I'll avoid this place overall.

Old school taqueria. Love their sauce. Good prices. Solid quality food. I've been getting food here for 20 years.

Came in yesterday night before closing. Could see they were cleaning up and the cook gave me a dirty look. Ordered a burrito and chips. Got home and realized they use fries that have been sitting all day, definitely not fresh out the fryer.If I had known the quality was going to be this bad, I wouldn't have left a tip. Even the cashier thanked me when he saw the size of the tip left.I would avoid at all costs and just a heads up to the employees; you guys could have turned me away instead of serving me garbage food.
