I would give this place zero stars if I could. This is not a kid friendly restaurant. We arrived on a Sunday morning and were a party of 5 with two toddlers and a baby. We got "seated" right away, there weren't many people around. The older woman who brought us to the table let me know I could not park my stroller on the outside of the table ,mind you, there was plenty of space for exiting in case of emergency. I didn't mind moving the stroller, but then things started getting uncomfortable. She told me to move the stroller towards the wall and then she told me not this way and not that. It felt like I was playing musical chairs with her moving the chairs around and instructing me on how to sit and place my kids. She kept saying "por seguridad" that they had to be in high chairs. I had declined them and she said we were getting them. Then as I sat down she told me to move AGAIN ! All this shuffling made me and my family super frustrated so I decided to tell her not to worry that we were going to leave. She was very rude and did not make us feel welcome. I do not recommend coming here and I will not be returning to this place again. Judging by the reviews, I see I am not the only one with kids that feels this way. Glad I didn't stay, the bitter woman would've probably spit in our food.

Came in here on a slow, Thursday morning. Upon arrival, took awhile to be greeted. We ended up being seated, and again, took awhile for them to come take our order. The worst part of our experience but specifically a old Mexican lady and as we were ordering, our baby was playing with some utensils, and she rudely grabs them out of his hands and put them away from him. My husband grabbed the utensils and gave them back to our son, and AGAIN, she grabs them out of his hands and puts them away from him. I was annoyed but ignored it and asked for a jamaica and she said they didn't have that (it was on the menu) so I opted for something else. Long story short, this lady doesn't give the restaurant the best image. Needs better customer service, but food was actually okay.

If you're having a nice day, please stay away from this place. We used to come to have breakfast to this place and food and customer service was good. Unfortunately, it has declided. They have this old lady who is very rude to the custumers. For example, she does not greet customers and treat them with attitude like if she's doing us a favor to serve us our breakfast. In addition to this, she's not being honest to the customers nor the company/restaurant. She wrote that we were two guests instead of three in order to charge us for more corn hand made tortillas plus she charged us for the container "to-go box". On another note, the coffee tastes horrible. I totally understand that we all can have a bad day, but this lady goes beyond the norm! Owners, please do something about it. It's a shame to have this lady as your employee.

Stopped in for breakfast impromptu while out discovering the area. The Huevos Azteca was fantastic. Eggs perfectly cooked and full of cheese, steak, peppers, etc. beans were excellent and the homemade tortillas alone are worth coming back for. However, as a coffee lover, the star of the show by far was the Cafe de la Olla, or spiced coffee. It was sweet, flavorful, and delicious. I'd never had this particular type of coffee and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was.Service was quick and friendly. Not sure what the other reviewers are on about. Their service was great even though they were busy.

It's been a while since I've eaten here so I thought I'd bring hubby for breakfast this morning and give it a try again. They started us off with chips and salsa. I had I believe was called the azteca taco. It had carne asada, nopales and cheese. It was huge and delicious. Hubby had the breakfast chilaquiles and it also was good. It could have been better but was okay. The service was a bit slow but not bad. The establishment was clean and busy.

Absolutely no way. I would recommend this place if you care what you eat. Cooks use way too much grease to cook your food. Everything is greasy. Your table will be dirty, and your plates will be cracked. Take your chanses. Price is on the high end. Maybe because of their location.

If I could do one star I would. We just moved to the area and I was taking a walk with my two kids in the stroller. I stopped by thinking this place looked cute and would be a good place to try for lunch, boy was I wrong. I went in and the place was empty, no server in sight. I picked up a menu to see if they had any child friendly food, then an older waitress with black pulled back hair came towards me and grabbed the menu away! I said oh, I was looking at that, do you have a kids menu? She just said no no we don't have. Ok..... wtf lady, super rude! Needless to say I walked straight out. Never tried the food so I can only speak for the hostile service. Maybe she didn't want kids in her restaurant, I don't know what her deal was, but maybe try a nicer way of communicating. I like to support local businesses in our area, sadly this is not one I will be giving my money to.

Unfortunately, our hopes for a pleasant Sunday morning breakfast were dashed upon entering El Comal. Despite the restaurant being somewhat empty, the server argued with us about our seating choice and insisted on charging for bottled water instead of offering free drinking water. Additionally, they refused to accommodate separate checks for three couples, and our meals were served cold. My torta was particularly disappointing, with only a small amount of carne asada filling. I won't be returning to this location and cannot recommend it to others.
