Egg Tuck

We came on a Saturday morning and it was about a 40 min wait for food. They don't text you, they just call your name so best to stay and wait inside the place. They have a decent amount of seating in the back. The interior is pretty simple, I think a lot of people just take their food to go instead of eating inside. I got the classic egg sandwich, the egg was super creamy and delicious! The bread was soft and buttery. My friends tried the egg and bacon as well as the short rib patty which they also said was really good. We also got the tater tots with eggs and those were really good too. It's a long wait but soooo worth it! I'm still dreaming about the sandwich haha

This 1 star review is solely for the service and operations, the sandwiches themselves are delicious.It is shocking how long it takes them to make orders. They actively yell out "45-60 minute wait!" To turn customers away as they walk in.I called in a large group order last weekend. On the phone they warned me - 45 minute wait, which I said was fine, but I could hear an undertone in the girl's voice of really asking me not to order.I arrived about 50 minutes after I called. The place was absolute chaos. Tens of people angrily standing around waiting. They would churn out 1 order every 5+ minutes. When I came in they first said my order was being packed up. 10 minutes later, nothing. I asked again and the girl goes behind the curtain and returns with a 5-7 minute estimate. Huh?? Another 10 minutes goes by and I ask again. Another 5-7 minute estimate. We needed to catch a boat so I said please just give me what's ready we need to leave. She went in the back and came out and said okay sorry we are going to prepare your order now. I'm sorry, what???? Prepare it now? I thought it was being packed 20 minutes ago?Ultimately they rushed and gave us half of our order and it was entirely wrong (sauce on sandwiches when we requested without, etc).This is a message to the owner. What are your staff DOING back there??? I am genuinely curious because the inefficiency is shocking. Are you raising individual egg laying hens for each individual sandwich ordered? Again I wish it wasn't this way, the sandwiches are good.

Leaving this review for a free drink...which I won't redeem. One and done. They appear to prioritize food delivery services than individual orders.The bread to protein ratio was way out of wack!Staff has to tell ppl 45-60 minute wait and turning away customers. I saw a lot of angry customers spew ire at the staff.This is a message to the owner to hire more staff and figure out your operations. Very inefficient. 10/10 would recommend Egg Tuck!.. that's it, that's the review. lol jk but anyways, Egg Tuck was recommended to me & my hubby during our visit in chicago. We love eggs & brioche breads so we said "say less!"Ordering wasn't so hard with their simple menu. Our order came out after maybe 5 minutes. Food is very messy, so i recommend to either eat it inside the restaurant or go to a place with a table or have a lot of napkins! 4 stars due to the restaurant smelling like pee by the dining area early AM during our visit. Reason why we had our order changed from dine-in to takeout. but anyways, food is golden!

Usually not a breakfast person so you know it's a big deal when I say this is one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Love the consistency and flavors of the egg. Got the one with avocado and it was the perfect combo. Service was a bit slow but overall had a good experience. Would get it again

The best breakfast egg sandwich I've ever had. The long line is worth it. It was so good. I had to have it twice. I called in my second order and picked it up on the busy street.

I think this would have been better if I ate it right away but I only walked 7 mins before I ate it and it was incredibly soggy. The sauces don't add much either. Everything fell apart and I wasn't the biggest fan. The coffee was just ok as well. Not sure if I understand the hype tbh.

Delicious egg sandwiches. We tried the ago egg and plant based egg tots. Has vegan options as well.

Got the egg and avocado sandwich. It's the perfect texture - very soft inside and slightly crispy outside. The scrambled eggs are pillowy, the avocado is fresh, the spice is just right. I just wish there were some more chives!
