Egg Harbor - River North

Egg Harbor always hits the spot whenever my husband and I make time for breakfast/brunch when we want to hang out before work. We both went to school up north so we used to frequent the one in Lake Forest and were super excited to see that there's a location close to us again!We never really have to wait to get seated since we usually come during the week in the morning. Food is always fantastic whenever we're there and love their specials and coffee selection. Service is great and pretty quick - we always get our food in a reasonable amount of time and are never late to work. Every time we've been there, it's always been a great experience so you can expect us to keep coming back whenever we find the time to do so!

Great breakfast and gluten-free spot. Good for a weekend brunch with friends or casual date. They have an entire gluten-free menu, for those with allergies. Our waitress was super attentive and kind, and gave great suggestions. I loved my Honey Harborcinno, a perfect coffee drink on a hot day. Not too sweet. The Farmer's Market Eggs Benedict was a yummy and unique menu item. The veggies went well with the egg and crispy English muffin. House potatoes were slightly crispy and lightly seasoned.

Great menu selection, great service and great food....nuff said! There are several locations and this is my go to for a hearty breakfast brunch or lunch.

Service is great (as usual), they even brought out birthday pancakes because it was one of the guest's birthday. I built my own skillet and got onions and tomatoes with it and it was really good, the potatoes were crispy and the eggs were perfectly over medium. The salmon avocado toast and the farmers Benedict were also great, but the potatoes were cold at first and they brought out new ones, and these were warm but they were mushy and almost undercooked. I personally didn't have that experience with my skillet but it is something worth noting. Other than that, the environment was great and the restaurant was clean and home-y, I'll be back!!

Egg Harbor was a few blocks away from our Airbnb so we decided to stop here for breakfast one day. The servers were super nice and attentive. I got the brown sugar iced latte and it was amazing. I wish I went back for more. I got the caprese avocado toast and it was so good and filling, I didn't finish it. It comes with a eggs and a side of fruit as well. My fiance ordered a burrito and it came with the most flavorful potatoes I've ever had. I finished those up! He got the cookies and cream frappe and that was delicious as well. I am so sad we didn't go back here because I really wanted to try other menu items

Great breakfast! The service was quick, and attentive. We were sat right away on a Friday morning, and served quickly as well. The food was just a general good breakfast! Definitely a good choice, but nothing life changing. The coffee I ordered was really good though, and would highly recommend the Brown Sugar Latte

The service here every time is outstanding! They are very attentive and always give great recommendations after listening to what you're thinking of getting. The banana bread French toast has my heart. It is so so good, I don't know why more places haven't done this. I find it to always be relaxing and peaceful whenever I eat there, a great start to my day.

Nice addition to this particular part of River North. I went for lunch during the week day and you can just walk in and get seated right away. If you need a quick lunch I would consider dining here as they bring out your food in five minutes after ordering! Giving this 4 stars as the menu is over priced. Cobb salad was $17, skillet was $17., and oak milk matcha latte was $7. The menu is pretty intensive so you will definitely find something for everyone.

I grew up going to the Egg Harbor Cafe location in the suburbs and was so excited to see that this location in the city had opened up. I went with a small group around 10am on a Sunday morning and was happy to be seated right away with no wait. I really recommend getting the Eggceptional Skillet Combo. I ordered it with mushrooms, avocado, and pepper jack cheese. It comes with banana bread which is so delicious. I wanted a seasonal drink and went with the Iced Pumpkin Apple Macchiato. To be honest, the apple kind of overpowered the pumpkin in this drink and it didn't fully taste like either, almost had a mixed muted flavor of both. It was still a good drink, just not what I expected. My friend that came eats gluten-free and we really appreciated that Egg Harbor Cafe has their own entire gluten-free menu, that was awesome to see.
