Ebony and Ivory Coffee

I didn't want to go to Starbucks because it is overrated. I decided to search for coffee shops in federal way on Google maps, and Ebony & Ivory Coffee showed up. This coffee shop is located inside an office plaza. There are plenty parking spaces. This coffee shop has 3 buildings. The first building , or main building, has the order counter with the baristas working. The restroom is also right there with ample seatings and TV. So it can get noisy. The second building is more like a place where an office meeting would take place. The third building, in my opinion, is the coolest because it's literally like a tree house. The tree house is more like for a small group of friends would hang out. I feel like if you want more privacy, then you should head out to the second building (if it isn't rented out by an office or someone) or the third building. Please note there's no restroom access in the second and the third building. I like the vibe that this coffee shop has to offer. Modern and chic interior!

Was in the area and found this place on tik tok and decided to check it out. This coffee shop is placed in an area with corporate offices. Has a very modern look! They have two separate indoor seating and a treehouse looking seating area as well. They also have plenty of outdoor seating. We came around 1pm on a Saturday and there were a good amount of people. You order up front and for the coffee flights they will bring it out to you. We decided to get the pocketful of sunshine and the stairway to heaven. We wanted to try both. I would suggest the pocketful of sunshine over the stairway to heaven. From the stairway to heaven, I really only enjoyed the caramel macchiato. The latte was the worst out of the four. The cold brew and doppio con panna were alright (nothing amazing). The pocket of sunshine was overall better with . The leprechaun green tea lemonade had an interesting taste to it (cinnamon??). The pot of gold energy was the best out of the flight. The lucky charms latte was also yummy. The irish cold brew was alright. Overall most of the drinks seemed a bit watered down. I would not go out of my way to come back, but the vibes of this coffee shop was immaculate!

Didn't expect such a cool place in Federal Way, it's tucked away inside a Business Park and you wouldn't notice it at all. Definitely a cool place for remote work and studying. Went there on Friday and I worked for 2+hours and internet is really good. Lots of space to sit, they have opposite building and a fancy looking space with tucked inside too. Service was a bit slow as there was just 1 barista so my coffee did become a bit cold lol. I ordered the February special- I love you Latte, it was way too sweet for my choice, nevertheless was smooth.

Aesthetic inside and outside was like out of a movie, it's super cute and still has that kind of "homey" vibe to it. Service is friendly and upbeat. Coffee is ok- got the stairway to heaven flight with oat milk and the coffee all tasted watered down and bland. For $17 (oat milk is an extra buck), I guess I expected more/to be impressed. The americano was really good though, strong and not too bitter.

Exceptional service and cozy interior!I loved that this coffee shop was its own little place in between a couple of office buildings. It wasn't extremely busy, so it was cozy and the service felt personal! I would definitely come back to try their coffee flights and other drinks.

This is one of my favorite local cafe chains! I live really close to this location and it has been my go-to when I need a cozy WFH environment. It's the fireplace and floor to ceiling windows for me. They come equipped with the fast wifi and accessible outlets. This location is defiantly smaller than Tacoma, but if there's no space in the cafe, they also have a separate meeting room and a cute little tree house.The baristas are a whole vibe. They are so kind and welcoming. If you don't know what to get, ask them for a recommendation! I stay basic with my iced americanos, but the espresso is bomb. If it's your first time, I would recommend trying one of their flights. They have seasonal flights and also basic ones to try their espresso and cold brew. Fan secret: check their IG for events and markets that they host throughout all locations.Located in Fed baby! Private parking lot. Wifi. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Since my company has implemented a flexible work schedule, I've been on a hunt for cafes outside of Seattle that serves great coffee, works as a workspace, and isn't a far drive.There's plenty of tables to choose from (and plenty of buildings too). They offer a quiet workplace across from the main building and a treehouse seating area just behind the main building.The interior is clean, modern, and has lots of windows for natural sunlight. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about drinks! The ladies that were behind the counter today (3/1) were so sweet and patient while I was familiarizing myself with the menu. They said I was the first to order the March flight at this location too (awesome!).Onto the coffee! I ordered the March drink flight and they included four drinks: a cold brew, a latte, an energy drink, and a lemonade.Irish cream cold brew: 4/5- Good ol cold brew. - Cream/foam on top is sweet and thick but not overpowering.Pot of gold energy: 4/5- Its sparkly- I can't tell what flavor it is, but it's good lol Lucky charms latte: 3.5/5- Great presentation, good balance of espresso and milk.- Wasn't a fan of the whipped cream, made the coffee sweeter than it already was (Note: I prefer lattes with no added sweeteners/flavors, so you may like this if you like vanilla lattes!)Leprechaun green tea lemonade: 1.5/5- It tastes water down. No lemonade just straight iced green tea that's been sitting out for too long and the ice melted XD- Cute pink color- Kind of tastes minty???In conclusion, I'll definitely be coming back to get the full sized Irish cream cold brew. By far one of the best cold brews I've tried in Federal Way. Highly recommend stopping by~

Stopped by this cafe after a long road trip and it was well worth it! We only order two flights and didn't get to try any of their pastries. The stairway the heaven was decent, I'm not much of a coffee person, so I did not like the latte. But all the other drinks were very good, not too bitter, not too sweet. A day in May flight had refreshing flavors, their teas are very flavorful and not overwhelming. It was such a treat to come rest at this cafe, they have a huge pixelated monitor that display different pictures of nature. Couches are comfortable and clean. Can definitely see myself coming here to work for hours and not feel like I'm working at all.

While the Mocha was good, the Raspberry Beret stood out as my favourite. The blend of raspberry and white chocolate was perfectly balanced, allowing the coffee flavours to shine through without being overshadowed.Most coffee houses tend to over-flavor their drinks, masking the coffee itself, but not here. I genuinely appreciated how well they crafted this unique flavour profile. If you're looking for a well-executed coffee with a creative twist, Ebony and Ivory Coffee is the place to go!The Place has a good seating area, where can have a business talk or some quality personal time with loved ones.

Easily the best coffee experience in federal Way. The staff are really good at what they do and super friendly and always make you feel comfortable.
