Rats inside bread near deli, BEWARE. Who knows how many other health code violations they have. Most shelved food here is expired or past due.

Good location and located like 3-4 blocks East of Hong Kong Supermarket. I am surprised Tacoma has like a street of Asian restaurants and few Asian grocery stores in the area!

Conveniently located in the heart of Tacoma, they have everything you need here. There is no restroom for customers .

I love this place for all things Asian eating! We've made some fairly legit pho with ingredients from this market, including the right bowls and spoons. Their veggie selection is great and very inspiring and they have every single type of Asian noodle and sauce you could even imagine. One of my favorite things is their giant ginger root....it is so yummy and a thousand times fresher than you can find anywhere else.

Update: how y'all gonna complain it's located in Tacoma? Some of us live here and it's convenient to us. When I travel to Seattle to eat or shop I don't complain about my choice to travel there. I'm shaking my head reading some of these reviews... like it's not your personal store, your mom ain't there, it's okay...

LOVE this market. They have anything and everything you can need to make your Thai, Vietnamese, Szechuan, Filipino, Japanese, etc. dishes and at a fraction of the price if you were to get the ingredients elsewhere. They have fresh produce I've had a difficult time finding anywhere...fruits, vegetables, roots, herbs..you name it. They package some fruits in boxes, such as the incredibly juicy, flavorful Asian varieties of mango(drool) for incredibly inexpensive prices. Last time there was a case of 18 for about $9. 10 stems of lemongrass was $2 ! What? Yes. Cases of the Thai variety of young coconut has fluctuating prices, but I've picked them up at 9 for $14 before, though I've seen as high as $22. The worker's are kind and helpful when you're asking about products and only have half an idea of what you're talking about, which has helped me out more than once! haha

I stopped in for Mirin. I have been in before and it's fine for essentials, but nothing special. If I have to stay in the area, I prefer Hong Kong Supermarket around the corner. The staff are very friendly, though, and prices are standard.

Whenever I needed supplies and food to make a special dinner, this place has it all and the prices are fair.

Great store and good people... You'll find most Asian products when you need it... You can even pre order what you're looking for...
