Eagle Harbor Wine Co

I love wine tasting and do it often but somehow only made it to Eagle Harbor Wine Co recently. Had I known what I would be missing, I would have made a beeline here long ago! They are conveniently located in the Winslow Mall in central Bainbridge. Walking distance from the ferry and lots of parking nearby as well. My friends and I opted to sit at an outside table and customize our flights of four wines. The woman who served the wines was funny and personable and really made for an enjoyable experience. I opted for the Goldfinch White Blend (unoaked Chardonnay and Viognier), the Sauvignon Blanc, the Homme Nu Super Tuscan blend (Sangiovese and Cab Sauv), and the Syrah. I loved each one and ended up purchasing 9 bottles that day. My friends enjoyed their wines so much that they joined the wine club. I'm already a member of another club but am considering joining this one as well.I'm really looking forward to returning to try more wines and highly recommend a visit the next time you're in Bainbridge.

I've tried three out of four wineries right at the ferry terminal/downtown Bainbridge area. Eagle Harbor was definitely my favorite for the wine, the service, the pricing, and the space. This shop is small, about 6 bar stools around the counter and 2-3 small tables against the wall behind the counter (for couples). We came in with a group of 5 and took up the entire counter. All opting for their $12 wine flight, we tried four different kinds of wine (red or white flights). I went for all red wines, but there was the option to substitute one for a new rosé which I did happily. All were great but the Homme Nu 2016 red blend was the best!!! I'm kicking myself for not buying a bottle while I was there! Just one of the smoothest, best red blends I've ever had that I now want to bring to every dinner party. Juliet (I think was her name) was working there and took great care of us. She was personable, knowledgeable, and engaging even when we were spread across the entire counter. Bonus from here: there is a small bakery right outside the door. So, after some wine, it's a great place to grab a coffee or snack! And meet a cute doggo or two.

Great tasting wine on the island. The staff here are friendly and very helpful. I opted for a tasting of 5 reds and they were all fantastic! There isn't a bad choice on any of their wines. If you're on the island stop by!

July 2021Chip was the host at Eagle Harbor Wine Co.(Winslow Mall).  He has a great personality and is extremely knowledgeable about wines. Chip's expertise encouraged us to try several tastings of Eagle Harbor brands. Having been to Napa several times, we were particularly happy to find out that WA. State, specifically, "EAGLE HARBOR", also has many excellent wines choices.  I enjoy red, but Chip suggested that I try the sauvignon blanc. I loved it!  My son joined their club. Great service! Not usually a fan of red wine but they sold me by knowing what kind of red wine I would like. Cute small shop to stop in at the mall.

The wife and I wanted taste some wine today. We went to another winery today and were disappointed in that establishment. We decided to give another location a shot. We ended up at Eagle Harbor and elected to do the $12 wine tasting option. My wife went for the whites and I went for the reds. This is when we met the owner, "Emily". She is a gem!!!! She personally poured our glasses for each of the four rounds. The glasses were half fully. This even included a half a glass of their $70 red. Look, I don't know much of anything about wine. She took the time to explain the menu and personally gave us a tour of the facility. She even gave us recommendations for food and offered us a magazine on tasting locations in eastern WA to stop at when we travel that way. Hell, we even stayed past their closing and talked with Lisa and others about anything in life. Let me tell you, I like sweeter wines than what they offer but their selections were through the roof. People were purchasing cases and having them shipped to California. This tells you something... this place is worth a stop. I do not give out very many 5 stars but these guys earned it. Stopped in here when we saw the wine tasting sign and had a wine tasting with 4 red wines and 1 white wine for only $12. All of the wines were local options and pretty good, though I wish they had the option of either all white, all red, or more of even split between red and white. I also wish there was more personal touch to the experience as it is a pretty small space. It seems like most people move through the tasting very quickly and there isn't much personalization or information during the tasting.

My husband and I have been members of Eagle Harbor's wine club for about two years now. We are always pleased with their wines, particularly their red wines. My current favorites are the Condor, Cabernet Franc, and Sangiovese. We normally go to the Three Tree Lane location, which has a cute tasting room and avoids the busyness of downtown. I recommend this winery to anyone doing some wine tasting on Bainbridge!

Wine is amazing...we love reds. Chong...not Sean...not John...was the kindest and most educated wine enthusiast I've ever met. He is also funny and sassy. We met Emily who makes the wine and owns the company. Was one of the best experiences we have had. We are wine club members to several places in Washington and this is our number 1!!!

Loved the staff, the wine, and the atmosphere. Excited to get this bottle chilling so I can drink it soon!
