Dutch Treat Restaurant

Quaint little mom and pop place. A local favorite with kind service. Limited seating but they have a great burger special to-go. We got an old fashioned malt milkshake and it is enough for two people. I also split a turkey club and went away feeling very full. Finally made it here after wanting to for years!

Have been here twice so far, once for breakfast, this time for lunch, both times amazing so far. Enjoyed the breakfast sausage here, the links were amazing, eggs were also, very good. Lunch is fantastic, having the Big D, two burgers with cheese, and side of fries, excellent. Added an egg to the top. Each time have been here the service is great. It's a nice small family run restaurant, locals come here and everyone knows each other. Inside of the building is decorated tastefully, like a local establishment normally is.

Dutch Treat has been on my "list" for quite a while. I'm happy to have finally dined here and will be back in the future.I very much appreciate the atmosphere, simple without advanced technology. Decent indoor seating options and attentive service.Breakfast consists of classic dishes. Affordable prices for large plates. Food is perfect.

Amazing hashbrowns Buttery, can't stop eating them pancakes Fantastic cups of coffee in cute random mugs Crispy toasted just right sourdough toast with great jam Donuts Feels almost like home with really nice staff and slightly creaky chairs Basically the recipe for in my opinion the best breakfast spot in Lynden. It doesn't have a menu that deviates from the classic American diner. You won't find some waffle and fried chicken with exotic spices all served in a mixing bowl. Instead you get that classic, quintessential small town diner feel with taste to back that feeling up. It's like your grandma (if she was anything like mine) opened a diner and somehow bequeathed it with all of her personality and love for cooking. This diner isn't special in the sense that it pushes the boundaries of food, it's special because it does a specific style really well!

Don't let the restaurant name fool you. This is just an average diner with run-of-the-mill, American menu items like burgers & shakes for lunch or eggs, bacon and pancakes for breakfast. My BLT was prepared and served with care, and honestly reminded me of something my mom would make at home. However, with a name like Dutch Treat, I was really hoping for something unique on the menu that you might find in the Netherlands. Unfortunately that was not the case. The only "treat" was not having to cook and clean up after myself.This is a place where the locals gather to chat over a cup of coffee. If you want to hear the local gossip and get a decent, square meal, this average-joe diner will do the trick.

First time coming here and I love it. I love how everybody knows everybody and how friendly everyone is. The place is cozy and it feels like you're at home and the food is outstanding. The service is great and the employees are super nice.

I alway like coming here for breakfast. It always taste great and the staff is friendly. It definitely has the small town feel with the local elders drinking their morning coffee. I would give it 5 stars but I don't like trying to figure out in the morning if there is going to be a table available. You walk into this small diner just to find out that there is no room and you feel awkward just standing there.

Food is decent, the waitresses are horrible. You'll usually get a menu within a few minutes but it'll take ten minutes for them to return, and Don't expect them to refill your coffee cup without asking, they won't volunteer it. Not the place to go if you're in a hurry.
