Dumpling House is a lovely little restaurant just on the edge of Central Square. Its location is super close to the red line and they have 5+ parking spots in front in case you drove. The staff is super friendly and service is very quick for those in a rush.We had the xiao long bao (soup dumplings) to start, which were delicious! I would recommend ordering these first, especially if you want them as an appetizer, as they do take some time to make. We each got a lunch special, which runs til 3pm on weekdays. It's a great deal, with a bowl of warm soup and rice on the side of a well cooked dish. The dishes here aren't too salty, which is great for people who like authentic asian food. I definitely will be stopping in again if I'm in the area to try more of their menu!

We ordered the twice cooked pork (5/5) and the wok friend beef (3/5)The portions are HUGE, especially the twice cooked pork. Wok friend beef has slightly less meat and more veggies. Both dishes are super spicy / oily, so warnings for those items.Service is fast. About a 15 minute wait at peak hour on Saturday (lots of seating)Good value and tastes great, would definitely dine in again!

I've had dumplings from the Dumpling House twice. Yelp reviews guided me, making me think these were the best dumplings I could get in the Boston area. Both times I was disappointed. The first time, I got take out. The second time, I came spontaneously with a large group of pals. We were seated right away. The ambiance is casual. The service is okay. This rating is mostly for the food. The dumpling dough is thick, there aren't many (if any) pleats, and the fillings weren't enticing. Sometimes there was gristle, or other chewy textures. Both times I want, I got several kinds of dumplins. Both times, many dumplings were composted because nobody else would eat them and I couldn't bring myself to eat them either, and I hate wasting food. There are better dumpling spots than this. Taiwan Cafe on Oxford Street in Boston, for example. Those dumplings are crack. The dumplings from Dumpling House are gross.

Good and authentic Chinese food in this area. Took a good while to find parking around there though. Circled the area many, many times before I found a spot. We came for lunch and were seated quickly. The food comes out fast. Everything was delicious and the lunch specials are a great price. I ordered the sweet & sour pork which came with a hot & sour soup. The pork was tender and the flavor was good. Not like the candy tasting sweet & sour sauce you get from Chinese take outs. Soup dumplings came out hot and were very tasty.

I got takeout tonight and enjoyed my order. We got the asparagus chicken, general gau's chicken, sauteed Taiwan noodles, salt and pepper pork, fried pork and shrimp dumplings, and the crab rangoons. The sautéed noodles were my favorite- they were very flavorful. The general gau's chicken had a good flavor, but I wish it wasn't so mushy. I probably wouldn't order it, but my sister was happy with it. The crab Rangoons were tasty, but I didn't taste any crab. Very cream cheese heavy. I would definitely order again!!

I've been here twice - the food is decent, fairly standard for Chinese food in Cambridge. The server was nice and helpful. The slices of meat are thin and cylindrical, which isn't quite my preference, but this appears to be a trend on the east coast.

Came on a Sunday night after a big dinner rush and there were still a lot of people! Luckily, they have so much space you never have to make a reservation. Food is served quickly and is pretty decent for Boston. We got the cumin lamb special, which was very spicy for a non-spicy eater, chicken with basil, and string beans to share. All were pretty good.

Very solid Chinese restaurant near Central Square in Cambridge. Good for a quick, filling meal.Food: We got the spicy fish, cumin lamb, broccoli veggie, and 2 types of dumplings. All were very solid! The spicy fish was soft and had a numbing Sichuan spice. The cumin lamb was our favorite, nice crispy exterior and a soft interior. I don't always love cumin but the flavors balanced well. The dumplings were bomb. Super juicy, super flavorful, and thick skin. Ambiance: This is a pretty standard Chinese place so there isn't a ton of emphasis on the interior. Great for family-style food 7/10.Price: The price definitely adds up depending on how many dishes you get but it's not too bad, especially with the portion sizes that you get 7/10.Overall would definitely go again!

The menu offers a wide variety of dumplings, each more delicious than the last. I started with the classic pork dumplings, which were perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The dumpling skin was delicate, encasing a juicy and savory filling.
