Tying Ethiopian food is delicious. Aside from the veggies, it was great overall. The restaurant/ market combo is an ok idea but I feel their store can have bad people come in and steal while the one person managing the front and the restaurant is busy trying to help alot at once. Their food is good and I recommend this Only bad thing is, the door is always open and you freeze inside the restaurant but that's a small issue.

Thought I'd come back to give an updated review..Still the same! I love this place. Came here a few days ago and brought a new friend who has never tried Ethiopian food before. We ordered the Vegetarian Platter and also the Meat Platter. My friend said it was really good and he got full quick.Huge portions, good prices, lots of injera to eat, and I like that they open early. I'm not too big a fan of American breakfasts, so this place is definitely in my breakfast rotation. The ladies working here were very nice and amazed us with how to pack our leftovers. If we did it ourselves, it definitely would have been a mess.Dukem Market is still my go-to after 6 years.

Ordered scrambled eggs with injera. Wrote "no bread, only injera" in both Amharic and Englishon on the UberEats order. Even added "gluten intolerance, no bread please" and they, of course, sent me scrambled eggs with bread. This is a Kitfo + Scrambled eggs order that I spent 58 dollars on.Alas...So... Buyer beware.

I want to start off by giving this Ethiopian restaurant a 5/5Our backgroundWe are from Sacramento, ca. We have experienced 3 different Ethiopian restaurants here. Additionally, we have been to roughly 10 Ethiopian restaurants in Los Angela's and it's surrounding cities. We know good Ethiopian food when we get itApparently, Dukes started off as a market and they later added a restaurant at the requests from their customersDukem looks like a mom and pop cafe / grocery store. So, don't expect too muchWhen we were there, we ordered the mixed vegetarian dish and the mixed meat dish. The point of the mix is so that we can experience the many flavors of Ethiopian foodWhen the food arrived, my kids went at it. Immediately, they all were saying that "this is really good". The food was delicious and fresh. Most other places were more salty and the portions were smaller. But here at Dukem, portions were reasonable, not overly salty (which is a big plus since you can now taste the food and not the salt), and presented well and pleasing to the eye.Since there were 3 adults and 2 kids, we had 2 orders of the mixed vegetarian dish and a single order of the mixed meat dish. The three dishes was perfect for us big eatersNext time I'm in Seattle, I will make sure to return to DukemI highly recommend this place5/5 ratingPlease visit

this review is for the restaurant--though the small market inside looked pretty well-stocked, i didn't really explore the aisles too much.fabulous, authentic ethiopian food! i've tried a few things from this spot over a couple of visits, and most recently i ordered a sampler with lamb to-go. they packed so much food into my one little container, it was insane--and everything was hot, flavorful, and fresh! i'm rarely in burien, but whenever i do pass by, i stop in here. it really is unbeatably tasty :)

Not very good no flavor my special requests not honored or followed. The meat did not taste very fresh for the sega tibs. The stew needed more salt and seasoning.
