Due' Cucina Italiana - Totem Lake

I'm going to be completely honest I really really really wanted to love this place. The story of how Due Cucina came to be is pretty touching but this was just not great. I've came here once before in the past but couldn't remember what I thought so I knew I had to try it again. We came at 8pm for eat in and the order process what quite easy seeing you can customize your pasta on the touch screen, or order with a person. We ordered for eat in and the pasta was quickly out, though it wasn't busy at all. A warning I know this place can get decently busy knowing they get a lot of online take out orders. For the pasta, it was terrible some of the worst pasta you could have. For fresh pasta you would expect something delicious but their pasta is super chewy, and tough with a terrible flavor and texture. The flavors from the sauces on their dishes are quite decent but putting it on top of this pasta completely ruins the meal. That being said the eggplant dish was quite delicious, a little oily and the prices were decent. Overall I wouldn't really recommend this place but it works if you need something quick and efficient, but I recommend avoiding a pasta entrée.

Ordered takeout, the pasta was good though small portion for the money. It was prepared pretty quickly though. Our takeout didn't come with utensil so if you need them don't forget to ask. It's located right off the street with few parking spots right outside and more in the mall.

Decided to check out This place after it was recommended. Upon walking in, it was very clean and I was greeted. You can either order on a one of two screens for a self service or you can order with the cashier. I order at the self service kiosk screen and as soon as I was done, you could see the kitchen preparing my meal. The pasta was cooked and the dishes prepared pretty quickly. I did take my food to go so we could eat at home and it was still pretty warm after a 40 minutes drive in traffic. Overall, the food was decent. My son said it best, it was just "meh" for us. I guess we are one of the ones who didn't get the hype around this place. It's definitely affordable for what you get and a great value. Did fast food Italian, it wasn't bad by any means but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

Tucked in Totem Lake, this noodle spot is a lifesaver. Parking's easy, and inside, it's no-frills but cozy. Ordering's a cinch with the touch screen, although more food pics would be nice.But let's talk noodles--they've got 'em all: different shapes, flavors, and even vegan options. My go-to? The carbonara--perfectly seasoned meat, crunchy, and salty.I usually grab it to-go for work or a quick dinner. And here's the kicker: even reheated, it's still delish. When I'm clueless about food but need something fast, affordable, and darn tasty, this place nails it every time.

The owners prob gonna hate me for saying this but this is the subway of pasta. The campanelle pasta is uber fun to eat makes me feel like I'm eating a chewy flower. Cute little quick lunch/dinner spot with services faster than i last. The white sauce is pretty g better than anything I would make it home but wish it had more protein. Cut approved

Due is a fantastic option for fresh pasta at a reasonable price. I went for dinner at around 7PM on a Friday and all the tables were full. The turnover is pretty fast though as you order at the counter / on a tablet before seating yourself and they have some counter seating where you can watch the kitchen work if you don't mind sitting side by side. I think they have a different set of fresh pastas available each day and they've got a mini-tray of what's available so you know what you're getting into. The kitchen will call your name when your order is ready and cutlery will be available at the window.Overall, the pasta itself is AMAZING. Everything is cooked super al dente, so everything has a nice bite to it. Highly recommend the bucatini when it's on the menu - it's if spaghetti was just 4x better. The reason this place doesn't have five stars is because the sauces fall a little short for me. The smoked salmon with capers was a bit too salty for me and I wish the short rib ragu had more tomato flavor, though the meat itself was pretty tender. Will be back to try some of their other options and that might push it to five stars!

We are obsess with this place. What a great deal for what you get, it's fast, great quality and it's a great portion! We have made our way through a good amount of the pasta menu, and have been satisfied with every single dish. The truffle pasta with bucatini noodles is a dish that gave me an audible reaction, and I didn't want it to end. I rarely fill up on a ~$13 pasta but if I could make myself stop eating this when I was full, I may have leftovers. But this girl can eat so there's no stopping me, at least with the truffle one. I don't feel heavy after, this is fresh as fresh pasta gets. We were watching them make the noodles by the viewing window at the bar while we waited for our dish, they have quite the system down. Let's just say, this place doesn't make me miss Italy too much.

YUM.Literally blew my mind being able to pick my fresh pasta, sauce and toppings. Absolutely quality all around. Tiramisu was fab too! Super pumped about this place and can't wait to come back! The portions aren't large, which I was initially bummed about, but turns out it was very dense and I was incredibly full before finishing my meal. Portions were spot on. I really need to get out of the mindset that more is better because quality truly shines here.

Giving the choices to pick the type of pasta noodle and sauce you want for your dish is great! Staff were very welcoming and helpful when it came to deciding what to choose! Our dishes came out so quick and they were wonderfully delicious! Perfect little spot to grab lunch or dinner!
