Jiaozi was extremely flavorful and the beef short rib inside was so well cooked - it just melts in your mouth. The Chongqing Chicken was very delicious as well, lots of chili and a delicious sauce! I will say it was a pretty spicy dish though so be weary! (I probably won't try it again but looking forward to trying something new next time!)Also there's plenty of seating but this is definitely a popular spot so would recommend getting a reservation! Also super cute and well decorated - perfect for a nice dinner out :) Service was impeccable as well! The server was very kind, made good conversation, and was very considerate of any dietary restrictions at our table.

I went to Duck Duck Goat with a friend while I was out of town in Chicago. The ambiance was nice, but the place is loud. We ordered lots of different things so we could try it all. Jiazobi (short rib potstickers) were pretty good. They were a little greasy, but that's because it's short rib inside. Great flavor, a tad salty.Duck fried rice- this was excellent! It, too, was a tad salty, but the flavor was great. The rice was slightly overcooked in spots. I would order it again though.Pork belly- yummy, but the flavor was only in the sauce. We drenched our pieces in the little sauce that we had and it was great. Without the sauce, it was pretty plain.I'm from Dallas TX and our restaurant and drink scene is top tier. I couldn't believe I paid $17 for such a mediocre drink with the pink panther. The food was good, but the salt content is heavy here. I would go back and try something else when I'm in town, but probably not anything that I had this time.

The most phenomenal dining experience. Must try if you like Asian food and are in the Chicago area!An overwhelming menu to be sure and everything seems enticing. Keep in mind if you're vegetarian there are likely very limited options for you. Tried a wide variety of items, including duck, goat, shrimp, and chicken. Fantastic flavor profiles and splendid combinations in every single dish. Every single bite was cherished. We even licked the dipping sauces clean! Even the complimentary almond cookies served with the bill were phenomenal. Our favorite dish overall was the duck and goat spring rolls!Extremely attentive service - I dropped one chopstick at one point and the server noticed and brought me a new pair!! Also provided hand wipes for after the chicken wings. There is a nice ambience with creative decor and lighting. The noise level is overall loud, but a fun place to have a nice dinner out with friends. We sat right by the bar, but there was no disturbance at all to our overall experience!

I had very high expectations for this because it was the first restaurant reservation I made after I booked my ticket to Chicago. Needless to say, I was disappointed with the food because everything was overly salty :( We got:Crab Rangoon: Pretty good, generous crab filling (this one wasn't salty)Spicy sticky wings: Good! The wings were tender and the meat fell off the bone. We asked for less chili crunch. I did feel like it was a bit heavy on the sauce and the side sauce wasn't necessary. I still loved it though and the extra coated sauce didn't necessary bother me. Moo Shu: SKIP! Way too salty and the bacon was weird. The sauce that came with it made the wrap was overly salty. It wasn't what I expected. Duck fried rice: good but I felt like it was on the salty side. My husband loved it though. Baobing: we got the simple sweet cream and guava soft serve. It was average but it made for an amazing palette cleanser Prices are fair, I think it's way better priced than the Girl and the Goat. Service was attentive and atmosphere was excellent. After dinner, my lips were dry from the salt lol. I went back to my hotel and chugged water and juice. I like the almond cookie at the end.

Super packed on a Tuesday night! I love the atmosphere of the restaurant right as I walked in. Staff was attentive and we were seated right away for our reservation at 5:30PM. This is a fun place to eat at with a small group of friends. The menu is easily shareable and you'll get to try different dishes. We ordered Jiaozi (beef short rib and bone marrow potstickers), Duck and Goat Spring Rolls and Xi'an Goat Slap Noodles. The Duck and Goat Spring Rolls and Jiaozi were a bit on the gamey side when it comes taste. The Xi'an Goat Slap Noodles has a kick to it if you don't like spicy. The noodles are delicious and thick cut. Very fragrant flavors. All in all, lots of goat, lots of duck and lots of savory and spicy dishes at Duck Duck Goat!

Duck Duck Goat is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. It has the decor and ambiance to celebrate a special occasion, but is also affordable enough to visit more often than that. The dishes are meant to be shared and it's recommended to get 1-2 dishes per person depending on the appetite you all have. They have a vegan/vegetarian menu which is what I always use. So many greats on there; pekan cauliflower, veggie fried rice, and mushroom potstickers are some of my favs. The servers are very attentive and I always have great service here.I've found reservations are easier to come by now than when I first went about 2 years ago.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. They have a vegetarian menu which made it easy for us to pick what we wanted. My favorite item was the Mapo Doufu, it is so flavorful and a good balance of spicy, tangy, and salty. The ambiance is nice, very family friendly.

It is really poppin' in this restaurant and I thought I'd get lucky without a reservation on a weeknight. You are wrong. Make sure you get a reservation! The decor here is so funky and it mildly reminds me of a club? Maybe it was the super loud music with the bass that made me feel a little awkward. Nevertheless we are here to eat. I ordered the duck and goat xlbs to start and the pork belly main. I really loved the duck and goat xlbs and I have never had that combination in a dumpling nor xlb - super flavorful and soupy. Yum. Next was the pork belly per the recommendation of the server. I didn't like the pancake wrapper thingies that came with the dish. It crumbled and was completely flavorless. I shredded the pork belly and ate it with the pickle and veg accoutrements and that was fine. Little bit salty but the pickles and veg helped...I ended the meal with the pineapple mango vanilla swirl soft serve. This was the real MVP of the meal - so creamy without being too rich. The tropical flavors made the best ending to a heavyish meal. I'd like to come back with a larger group with a reservation next time as the wait without one was long.

Duck duck goat was one of the best meals we had in Chicago! I can see why the restaurant comes so highly recommended. We had dinner reservations and were promptly seated upon arrival. The decor is beautiful and our table was in an intimate emerald green room. Our server was very helpful and helped us pick options for our group of four. The meal is intended to be eaten family style so we started with the bao buns and sticky wing appetizers. For our entrees we had the pecan chicken, beef with broccoli, duck fried rice and dan dan noodles. The pecan chicken was a hit and the beef with broccoli was surprisingly good. There was a lot of beef and it was cooked to perfection. The fried rice was amazing too. We ended our meal with dessert for the table. I'm still thinking about who good this meal was while writing this review. I'll definitely be back!!

This is one popular place. I cannot suggest reservations enough. You will still wait and be squashed in between other tables. I will say it was worth it though. The food is outstanding. They have many items that are vegan or can be modified, but are primarily meat driven. Would love to see more plant based and less dead animals on the menu, but will still support them for the options they do have. Make sure your server knows what plant based is because many of the sauces have animal products in them. My server didn't know and I had to ask about fish sauce, egg, chicken broth. We figured it out together. The vibe is eclectic and vibrant. Cocktails were fun. Food presented with flair. I'll be back.
