Dreyer's Ice Cream

This is the first place I've been to in a while in SoCal where I was able to pay with a card and didn't have them turn around the terminal and select between 20% (good) 25% (great) 30% (superb) tip. I appreciate not being guilt tripped by the business to pay its employees. Of course I tipped, cash, in the jar. Also the ice cream was good and dude was nice and helpful.

Slow service. Dirty place. Mediocre ice cream.The place is covered in wet sand on the floor, which makes sense because it's right off the beach. But, while we were waiting in line, a spider was hanging from the ceiling above us. The ice cream was okay, but it kinda tasted like it had been sitting in that freezer for a few weeks. I don't know, just something felt off. They also only had one worker and there was a line of like three families waiting behind us. Good location, but that's about it.

The Hawaiian Shaved Ice was what attracted us. The Shaved Ice is really Sno-Kone, which is not a favorite with me. They offer three Sno-Kone sizes and a variety of syrups. I tried the pineapple, which had an artificial taste to it. My niece had strawberry, which also tasted artificial. There are two cases with Dreyer's ice cream -- about 20 flavors -- but nothing special enough for the cone or dish prices. There are no indoor tables and one just outside. Location is convenient to Mission Beach and Belmont Park.

Glad to have a hard scoop type ice cream option right at the beach. Got my rocky road fix! Nothing like an ice cream cone and the fresh salty beach air and sun. Friendly helpful service.

Amazing little ice cream shop!! Yes, it is a tiny place and busy, but the ice cream makes up for it! I should mention that the single ice cream scoop is huge!! Soo worth it! Also, the staff is super friendly!! I love it!

It feels very dirty inside. Bad quality ice cream. Go anywhere else instead. Overall, very off putting.

Found a piece of hard plastic in my carton of strawberry icecream. When it stabbed me in the mouth.

CROSS CONTAMINATION!!!!!!! Little brother had an allergic reaction to nuts after eating the brownie and oreo ice creams. Neither disclosed that they contained nuts

Ice cream is literally so garbage, weird workers and so overpriced. Tasted like straight up sand.

Nice little place... I asked for a double scoop of ice cream and got like half a scoop. Don't ask for ice cream. It is a scam. Snow cones were good tho
