They have a wide variety of cider but you have to come early to get a tasting. They have a limited number of tastings available so either make a reservation or come early. Tons of outdoor seating available!

First time on this place and on the island. It wasn't as difficult as I thought to get to it. A short and nice ferry ride and then a short drive and you're there. Their tasting is quite unique in that they have someone occasionally stopping by your table to explain and pour the cider for you. The cider itself was very good and a bit on the strong side but pleasant nonetheless.Tip: bring your own food or better yet do a picnic

We had a blast visiting Dragon's Head Cider today. Walked in without an appointment and had no problem finding a spot to taste. Tasting fee is $12 and waived with a purchase of 3 bottles ($15-20 each). Ciders were all delicious and the staff was wonderful and helpful. The location is beautiful, with picnic tables and lounge chairs to sit at and enjoy the tranquility. Very dog friendly as well.

Our second and lost cider stop on the island was at Dragon's Head Cider. We dropped in on a Saturday afternoon (around 1:00pm). The place had a handful of people (even a group of seniors) but luckily, the grounds are so spacious that you can wander around and sit at a few picnic tables/hammock spots. The taproom itself is dinky with only one table inside. Cider tasting is $10.00 US/person which gets you 5 samples and you get to keep the glassware. Not sure why they don't just charge you $5.00 US as an option. Tasting fee is waived if you buy THREE bottles. Their bottles range in the $15.00 US to $28.00 US and they also do grunt/growler refills. There's a small bit of merchandise. Their grunt bottle ($6.00 US) was cool. They also randomly had eggs for purchase ($7.00 US for a dozen).- Sparkling perry - méthode traditionelle - similar mouth feel to a champagne. Light in flavour. - Wild fermented - the slightest hint of a sour note. - Heritage rosé - this was our favourite from the ciders we tried. More full bodied and we detected a hint of berry. - Columbia crabapple - didn't get much tartness from the crabapple. - Pommeau - this was one of their sweeter ciders. Brandy note is prominent. Come for the relaxing, chill grounds but DH's ciders didn't blow us away.

A scenic little orchard with amazing cider! There is also a spacious and well-distanced outdoor seating area. 1) Service (+): Dragon's Head Cider takes reservations by email and allows limited walk-in visitors. It was decently busy on a sunny Saturday afternoon. After getting seated at an outdoor table, the staff will come by to take your orders. 2) Ambiance (+): With "A Midsummer Night's Dream" vibes complete with string lights and lawn chairs, socially distant seating, and mandatory mask wearing, this spot gets an A+ for ambiance. The bathrooms here are porter potties, however. 3) Drinks (+): There is an extensive list of pear and apple ciders, all made locally. You can either order by the glass, by the bottle, or opt for the $10 flight tasting. I highly recommend the tasting, which comes with 5 generous pours and a glass tumbler for you to take home. I tried the Sparkling Perry, the Perry, Rose Cider, and Manchurian - my favorite was the Sparkling Perry, a light and not too sweet sparkling pear cider. 5) Value for Money (+): At price points of $10 for a tasting and tumbler, $10 for cider by the glass and $24 for full sized bottles, the prices here are great!

Just a wonderful experience in every way. The owners and staff are exceptionally warm and welcoming and the the ciders are absolutely delicious. We first stumbled upon Dragon's Head by chance on a day they were not open for tasting. Yet the staff stopped what they were doing to talk about the history of the site and the process of making cider. They then let us buy a couple of bottles to take home and try. We were hooked of course and promptly came back (with friends!) for tasting. We became club members on the spot and make sure to stop in and say hi whenever we visit Vashon.

Great spot for cider! They have quite a few varieties to choose from and you can get it on tap or from a bottle. The outdoor space is a very nice spot to spend a sunny afternoon. It was well worth a stop!

Beautiful property entrance. The long gated driveway led to a residential home with a warehouse barn for brewing. Odd there was not an established indoor tasting room, just a single table amongst the equipment chaos. Randomly placed outside are old weathered picnic tables to sip on the ciders. With a couple RVs parked next to them have it a feel of camping rather than a cidery. Not much of a destination experience with a grand name to pair the perry of Dragon's Head.Dry to taste, tiny bubbles ;)

Dragon's Head is a great cider experience. Definitely call ahead to get a spot in the outdoor tasting room. It was a group of picnic tables in a little grotto a few paces from the building. We worked our way through a variety of ciders. They have one that will match the palate of everyone in your group. I'm glad the weather was nice while we were there. Great ciders, great service!
