Not it. Yea, I'm a vegetarian and the lack of options was shocking. The vegetable dumplings still have chicken powder I believe, and I think the waiter said the salad dressing also has chicken powder. Like why? There's a few vegetarian options that are marked on the menu, but yea, didn't love it. The prices are so cheap though, so if you eat meat and are ballin on a budget you might like this place. Also, and maybe I'm just being picky, but I didn't love that they brought our dessert out in the middle of the meal. They literally brought out a few items, dessert and then a few more items. At least bring out all of the appetizer/entree food first. Also, service was mediocre and the bathroom was gross. Not it. There was a wait to get a table, so I'm assuming if you eat meat, then you'll like this place!

An odd location for a dough zone, and frankly probably my least favorite.Noodles and dumplings are bad for takeout and this Dough Zone perfectly showed why when the other locations didn't have this problem. The noodles had solidified like a piece of ramen. There were only 4 chili dumplings when it should've been 6, not to mention they didn't bother including the sauce - just takeout packets I had to mix myself. Out of everything I ordered, I'm just glad the Q-Baos didn't burst. I'll give them credit for that one. I would like compare it to the dine-in quality but unless there's a hidden parking lot, there is no parking in this neighborhood because it's located under a strip of student housing where circling drivers are already fighting for a spot. No loading zone, just a roundabout where you 'could' double park on the walkway. Basically, a bad store for takeout AND dine-in.**A small update after doing dine-in twice: my experience here still stands at a "meh". They get good business at all hours, including near closing at 10pm. But you really have to flag someone down for service, or else you'll never get your bill or order taken. Service-wise you get a mix between the really shy introverts and the international students who don't want to work. Some people may view their attitude as rude or unfriendly if they're not familiar with Chinese culture. This doesn't deter me from coming here but it puts the experience as so-so.However, food quality is not compromised - same as every other Dough Zone.

Came to this location for the first time! It was very spacious. The staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered a bunch of dishes plus dessert. Very satisfied with the portion; tastes were standard just like other Dough Zones. It was esp cost-efficient as we got the gift card from Costco (pretty much 20% off). We parked at the garage in U Village and could just walk across the street to this location.

First time? Just order everything, and if that's too much food, then trust the fan favorites: dan dan noodles, q-bao's (pan fried buns), xiao long bao's (soup dumplings), the sweet & sour cucumbers, and any of the wontons are a good place to start. This location specifically is within walking distance of UVillage, which is great after a day of shopping. Service is quick and attentive, and the food is exactly what I would expect from Dough Zone. Hits the spot every time!

I've enjoyed my visits to Dough Zone in Bellevue and Seattle's Chinatown International District. I actually prefer this indie chain over the international sensation Din Tai Fung. This was our first visit to the University District site. After picking up The Homie from campus, we were able to score on nearby street parking (10/10/23). I was absolutely amazed at all the new development since I had not traveled to this stretch of 25th proximate to University Village in a while. This Dough Zone had a modern interior, but had big view windows of the adjacent Ravenna Woods. We were promptly seated, no reservations and no wait which was a major plus. The Homie opted for a milk tea ($5.50), pork wontons w/chili sauce ($6.95), spicy beef shank ($7.95), and noodles with onion soy sauce ($7.50).I leaned towards my favorites and seemed to hit the spot on that particular cold, rainy early evening. I selected the pork XLB ($8.95), dan dan noodles ($7.50), and pork wontons in chicken broth ($7.50). Well fed and a very satisfying meal! A worthy culinary detour.

I was so very excited when I saw that DoughZone opened, right across the street from Din Tai Fung! Being a not-so-fan of DTF (I think it's overpriced), I was very glad to go to a competitor.Next time, I'll just wait for Din Tai Fung. The $7 cucumbers, as others have mentioned was on point. Delicious. I would pay another $7 for it next time, if the other dishes were sore disappointmentsThe dumplings, which should be the star of any dumpling-centric restaurant, failed to impress. The variety lacked creativity, and the flavors were surprisingly bland. The dumpling wrappers were thick and doughy, overshadowing the fillings, which lacked the depth of taste I was expecting. Service was another aspect that contributed to my disappointment. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, making the overall dining experience less enjoyable. When they forgot a dish, the server took one look, and said "it's coming" without actually checking. It's disheartening when a restaurant doesn't deliver not only on the culinary front but also on the service aspect. In summary, DoughZone left much to be desired. While the cucumber appetizer provided a brief respite from the culinary letdown, the overall experience did not justify the steep prices. I would hesitate to recommend it to fellow food enthusiasts.

My first Dough Zone experience was awesome! We came as a party of 5 on a Sunday at 7 pm and there was no wait (we joined the Yelp waitlist 5 minutes before we got there). All the dishes we ordered were delectable, and the portions were generous; we ended up taking a few boxes home. Standouts of the meal included the pork xiao long bao, dan dan noodles, braised pig ear, and kale with sesame dressing, We also ordered onion soy noodles, chicken xiao long bao, fried wontons, vegetable potstickers, pan fried chive dumplings, and green onion pancake. The xiao long bao tasted amazing with their ginger paste (you have to ask for it separately) mixed with vinegar, as well as the chili crisp. The dan dan noodles were truly "numbing" but not overwhelmingly spicy, and the braised pig ear was very flavorful. I really liked the kale on the side, it provided a nice balance to the meal and the dressing was to die for. There were a ton of folks here in the evening, especially on a rainy day dim sum hits different. There was a whole row of couples on dates as well as a larger party of 10+ so I definitely see this as a great date or larger group dinner venue. I will definitely be back!

Dough Zone has become my favorite Xiao Long Bao place as it affordable and delicious. In 2024 they are going to add 2 more dumplings to the dish! I need to shout out the one of the servers at the University District location. He saw that I was making a video and told me he can open the lid for the dumplings for me slowly so I can capture the freshness. This store is more clean and open compared to the ones I went to in Bellevue or Redmond. I highly recommend the wontons in chili oil and Tan Tan noodles.

We enjoyed the dough zone - an informal atmosphere, efficient service, good food.Things we liked: broccoli with seafood sauce, green onion pancake, pork & shrimp pot stickers, pork wontons with chili sauce. Particularly good was the sweet & sour cucumber -- yum!I wouldn't recommend the vegetable pot stickers ... nor the Dan Dan noodles (weren't really what I think of when I think of that dish).All-in-all a pleasant meal. One comment about the atmosphere -- it's high ceilings and lots of concrete -- and can be a little noisy.

The gist is that it not live up to expectations. The good:Great location, across the street from u-village.New location and the restaurant is clean.Prompt service / arrival of food.Shrimp dumplings tasted good. The not so good:The place is extremely noisy (open kitchen, concrete surroundings) so you can almost hear someone chewing from the other end of the restaurant. The vegetable dumplings were not great. The texture of the filling was similar to mashed up baby food. $10 for a pretty small bowl of beef noodle soup. Some items were under flavored. Why is someone piling up trash on a cart outside of the kitchen and ripping tape like a loud thunderstorm?
