It's fine. Coming from LA, it's underwhelming. For Seattle, seems pretty solid. My gripes are the portions are tiny and mild on flavors. The soup dumplings don't have soup in them. Wontons in chili oil were fine. I will say, their Dan Dan Noodles were actually solid - which was somewhat redeeming. In terms of service, I was not a fan. I called if it would be it be fine for us to dine in since they are closing in an hour and we would be a 10 minute walk away, they said "absolutely!" When go got there, they did not really seem very happy. The food did come out in a good amount of time. They gave us less dumplings than was listed in their menus; didn't bother bringing it up since it was late. We were conscience of the time and finished dining before they were closed. The staff seemed a bit lackadaisical the whole meal, except when it came to the check and just felt they were very pushy on the getting the check out and signed and really staring down on you when it came to tipping portion. It's a little laughable, I think their tip defaults were 18%, 25%, and 30% for that type of service. Would I come back? No. If I actually lived in Seattle? Maybe, because there doesn't seem to be many good Asian food spots in the area?

Dough Zone should be on everyone's list if they are in the area. First, it can get quite busy for dinner, so I recommend jumping on the wait list ASAP so you don't have a long wait. However, if you're in the area and can break away for lunch - go then! There was no wait and the food comes quickly enough for an office lunch break! The service team is on top of their game and move quickly through the place delivering food and taking orders. I was able to go in between conference sessions and there were no issues.I went two days and tried different things both times and was impressed with each item. I'm not sure if I have a favorite since they were all good. I think, if I get to go back again, I will continue to try other things since I was already impressed with the choices. The chicken pot stickers had an awesome flavor and even though they were pan fried you could still taste all of the flavors. Also, the soup dumplings had so much flavor that they really didn't need any soy/vinegar which is amazing. Honestly, I should have went back a third day since the menu is so large and there was still so much more to try!

Tasty dumplings and noodles, but smaller portions than the Chinatown location I tried last year.We joined the waitlist 30 minutes before our planned arrival and arrived when we were just 3rd in place. Didnt take long for us to get a table. It was about 5 minutes of a wait. It gets packed near the entrance for a Thursday evening, but it could be because it was Comic Con weekend. We ordered Dan Dan Noodles (peanut butter sauce was present throughout the noodles and wasnt spicy), Pork Wontons w/ Hot & Sour Sauce (spicy but not overwhelming. Used the sauce on other dumplings.), Pork Xiao Long Bao (soup was flavorful, a bit salty though).Overall, we will definitely come back. Despite the smaller portions, the food still tastes great just as like any other location.

Put our names on the online waitlist and got seated pretty immediately after arrival. This place really hits the spot on a cold night! We ordered a bunch of different things to share family style and I don't think we went wrong with any dish! The food all came out super quick and we ended up ordering a few more add ons! Don't sleep on the noodle dishes here either! Definitely try the dumplings but the noodle dishes might have stolen the show for us!

(Overall: C) - Overall, I found the food to be quite decent quality as comforting Chinese food favorites with a lot of desirable menu items. Unfortunately, one of the servers dropped a utensil on me and stained one of my shirts. (Sweet and Sour Cucumber: B) - The shape of these cucumbers are quite intriguing but I feel that they are impractical as the pickling flavor was not able to seep into the cucumber fully; that being said, the flavor that did stay on the hydrophobic shell was quite pleasant. (Shanghai Fried Bao: A) - These buns were perfectly made with a beautiful golden crisp on the bottom and a fluffy bun hugging a delicious meat filling on the inside. The interior is also juicy and filled with soup, so it is very soothing to the palette as well. (Crab and Pork XLB: B) - These soup dumplings are nicely packed with at least one spoon of soup, and the tip is properly wrapped unlike at DTF. I think there could be something done to elevate the dish, as simple as serving them in individual spoons to prevent soup from leaking.(Beef Noodle Soup: A) - Both the beef and noodles are quite tender, and I think the addition of romaine is quite nice to add some refreshing freshness. The broth is also quite pleasant to complement the noodles, but not to drink as a broth. (Banana Naan B) - I was happy to see this dish as I haven't seen this on a menu for several years as it is more popular in China. I found the naan to be very thin and crispy oozing with warm banana on the inside. Personally, I found the huge dollop of whipped cream to be unnecessary and the presentation could have been improved otherwise instead.--Food: +1Presentation: EPrice: EAtmosphere: EService: -1Menu: +1Overall: +1 CInsta/Beli: @amei_eats

Have been here many times when Seattle and always enjoy it. Slightly disappointed they don't have the ACOY salad anymore. They changed it to lettuce. They are usually busy and come to the table right away to take order. The food comes out quickly. I prefer the cucumber salad here to din tai Fung. It's a small location and there are lots of Amazonians in the area during lunch time so try to come early OR later.

This place blew my mind! We have been to Din Thai Fung and love it but this was above that! We walked in at 5:30 pm on a Saturday, got on the wait list and with in 15 minutes were sat. We did choose to take there offer of the bar seating but our wait time would not have been much longer if we hadn't. We order soup dumping, pan friend, and two steamed as well as the sweet and sour cucumbers. Everything was so flavorful, full and rich. I love that they offer crunch chili oil! Service was quick and polite. They have a small menu for beers and sake but not a full bar. This place is busy but they turn tables quickly. The hardest part was parking but as some one visiting Seattle parking was a issue everywhere we went and I don't think that goes back to the restaurant.

On a visit to Seattle we were invited by friends to Dough Zone. What a great choice it turned out to be!The food was delicious. The service was top notch and the atmosphere was perfect. We will definitely go back on our next visit. But next time we will make sure we will be super hungry so we can try as many more items on the menu!

I would give this place a 3.5 stars if I could. It wasn't good good, but it wasn't just okay; ended up giving a 4.0 because I did come in during a lunch break while in the area for a conference, so they were churning through customers the best that they could. To start, we added ourselves to the virtual waitlist via Yelp roughly 30-45 minutes ahead of our scheduled lunch time, and ended up getting a seat at the bar which was lined up in front of the waiting area, meaning we had folks who were waiting to be seated essentially hovering behind us. A little awkward, but what can you do when that's all the space they have for service? This was my colleague's first time eating at a dumpling restaurant, so we ordered a variety of things so she could get a taste of some of the more popular items, including scallion pancakes, pork and shrimp dumplings, xiao long bao (soup dumplings), and pork dumplings. We enjoyed the scallion pancakes, as they were flavorful and were a no-frills experience. The pork dumplings were fried on the bottom? Or at least had such a hard bottom that taking a bite of them meant the filling burst out the other end because your teeth couldn't bite through easily. Flavor of those were good, but I hated the experience of eating them.I personally enjoyed the pork and shrimp dumplings the best, since they were good old fashioned steamed dumplings that I dipped in a soy sauce/vinegar combo (which, by the way, we never got dipping bowls for so we just mixed it up on our large plates - also awkward to eat from). The biggest disappointment were the soup dumplings. Mostly because I had talked them up so much as a must-have experience for my colleague's first time and they had all burst in the steamer basked so the soup was all gone! She didn't even get a chance to experience ripping one with her own chopsticks. I recommended that she try soup dumplings somewhere else before she makes her judgement based on the ones we got here.Overall, it was a decent lunch spot and flavors were good. But the experience and quality does suffer when catering to high traffic areas.
