Double Barrel BBQ

Good food. Good drinks. Awesome owner. Pricing???? Seems like it's who serves you. Today I stopped in for an Irish coffee to kill time before my hair appt and the girl charged me $16!! I was shocked. She said "yeah my manager and I talked about it and she told me that's the price." (she didn't seem to mind). More than their specialty drinks that have far more booze in them. It's like she charged me for everything separately. Whiskey$. Baileys$. Coffee$. Whip cream$ funny not funny. Makes no sense. Not happy. Other than this silly incident I would give 4 stars.The other times we've been there it's been awesome! We had a large party a few weeks ago with a few elders and they offered to come take our order so we didn't have to all stand up there or write it down. We had amazing service that day, 10/10. Sorry you to have to hear my negative review before my positive, I should have reviewed sooner. I hope everyone can get on the same page and have logical pricing.

Place is a cool old style metal building food was good service was awesome great place to stop on your way back from the north cascades.

I came here for breakfast as it was one of the few places to actually open at 7 am on Sunday. I cleared the border from canada early and actually got here 15 mins before 7 am. So I waited in the parking lot and they did open on time. I was the first customer. I ordered at the counter and then got a table. Food would be brought over but it was self service for coffee at the counter. I loved the Western decor and layout, including the peanut shells on the ground. Very country indeed. The washroom was also one of the nicest and cutest I had seen. As it was so early and I usually skipped breakfast, I had a single biscuit and gravy (half order I think) and added brisket. It was so delicious! Brisket was tender and flavorful with crispy bits at the end. The single biscuit was just nice for me. I would want to try the lunch or dinner menu where the full on bbq food would be served. They also have frozen food to go so you can reheat at home. Friendly staff too. Recommended!

Amazing food!!! Best BBQ I've had in Washington and I'm from the south. There was a guy playing guitar that night who sounds awesome as well. Such a fun environment.

I drive out of my way to stop at Double Barrel. The ambiance is so authentic. Peanuts on the floor, barrels for tables. On my last visit after a weekend of camping, I was keeping my fingers crossed for breakfast/brunch menu on a Sunday and my wish was granted!Sumptuous biscuits and gravy. Massive breakfast burritos. Brisket skillets. And boozy drinks to accompany. The biggest challenge is ordering at the register. Not a huge fan of this...but I get being short-handed on service. They do have servers bringing out the food, but no one comes back to remove plates, refill drinks or ask you how things are. I think these guys would get a full five stars if they offered better service. Nonetheless, I'll be back for that BBQ!

Mostly good food, but the brisket was one of the best I've had. The pork was offered at lean or fatty, so we got 50/50. That was a mistake because the fatty was really fatty. The hot links are hot! I don't mind spicy food but I didn't expect that much heat.The atmosphere was not optimal. Besides peanuts on the floor, Fox news up on a big screen doesn't lend to my desired place to eat a meal.

You'll feel at home here! Great family dining place without the loud music you find at most restaurants. Peanut shells on the ground make it a real good place to have your messy toddler, less of that mom guilt! Food for everyone, even veggie options (that were really good!).Very well priced and the nicest owners that will make anyone feel welcome. Perfect stop on the way home from the North Cascades. Don't miss the doggy wall as you wait for the toilet.

I'm surprised of the low rating of this place because this is really good! Not very many good bbq places in western Washington.I got the sliced brisket sandwich with a side of vegetables and Mac and cheese. The brisket was a good mix of a lean and fat. My husband got the double barrel which is an open faced sandwich with chopped brisket on one side, pulled pork on the other and comes with a rib. The mac and cheese is creamy!!They have a variety of bbq sauces, banana peppers and pickles that are self serve. The sandwiches do not come with sauce on them so you can choose which sauce and how much of it to put on them. There's also free salted peanuts you can eat.The owners and staff are very friendly! Can't wait to come back and try some more things.

We saved this place for our last stop on our visit to Washington. Yes the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was fun, but it was the lively owners and the friendly staff that made this a night my family will not forget. This was a 5 Star night for all of us! this will be on our things to do list again next visit. ...and next time we want to try breakfast!! Francesca and family

I think this should be said!! I am...well WAS.....a regular at Double Barrel. Me, my wife and son came in for some breakfast. The food was okay, but what I witnessed completely killed my experience. My server was amazing but whoever her direct supervisor is (blond haired girl) was EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. From what I gathered my server had informed us that the dessert we had ordered would have about a 20 minute wait time for preparation. During this wait time me and my wife can literally hear the supervisor being EXTREMELY disrespectful to our server and apparently pushing her to serve us an UNFRESH dessert. Our server made us aware and requested that a fresh dessert be made which, from what we heard, caused an issue. This ended with the server being sent home.I have been in the restaurant industry for 30 YEARS. The supervisor at this location I have seen has been very disrespectful to employees a few times now just with the way she interacts with them. If it was me, I would have FIRED HER on the spot. That is no way to speak to an employee and the fact that the restaurant was willing to serve us non-fresh food is abysmal. ME AND MY FAMILY WILL NOT BE COMING BACK TO THIS LOCATION. PLEASE DO BETTER!
