I got a piece of their garlic focaccia from the lincoln square farmers market today... yesterday on a thursday... and it taste soooo good! so glad I got it. Think I might even make a habit if grabbing some every week. i wonder if they deliver on ubereatstry their garlic focaccia bread, best focaccia bread i've ever had. also the only I've ever had but that garlic flavor is divine

On March 27th, it was the second time I went to Flat & Point. Service was not to my expectation. The female host made comments about us that really left a bad taste in my mouth. My reservation was for 2 people at 5pm. I told the host that our friend Summer made reservation for 2 too. Is it possible for the 4 of us to sit together? I don't know why but she looked annoyed already. Then she showed us that our table and summer's table are next to each other. I asked if it's possible to get a bigger table because this one looks tight. She said "it's not tight" and left. When she returned, I asked if I can move to the center tables. She said "I can't move any tables". When I went to the bathroom, my boyfriend asked again to see if we could get a bigger table. She said "any human won't think the table is too small." What does that mean? I am not a normal human being? I don't understand the snobbish attitude. We asked politely but her response was sarcastic. The first time I went to flat & point it was on March 5, just a few weeks ago. I successfully moved to a larger table in the center. I could understand that it was fully booked last Sunday and it would inconvenient her to redo the seating. It's ok if she told us politely. Please don't imply that we are not normal or not even human. Thanks to her attitude, I will take my abnormal self somewhere else to eat.

Many beautiful and accurate reviews here... And a few crabby little mugwumps who don't understand how restaurants work.I went here tonight on a whim with a friend. We both live nearby but had never visited Flat and Point for no clear reason. Tonight was the night!We try to wide range of menu items including the wing-ish ribs, a salad, and the brisket. We also had a lovely bottle of wine with dinner. The food was outstanding. The brisket was a treat, and anyone who said it's overrated is a silly goose. Those ribs in the salad were also spectacular. We also had a pork main that was fine but not as outstanding as the others. The wine selection is really interesting and unique and very fairly priced. I was impressed by the service and ambiance, And how clear it is that everything is fresh and homemade. The price points are almost too good to believe. I actually think they're quite fair But they definitely don't include the Logan square markup that you'll get a lot of other similar places in the area. Thinking of eating at Park and Field? Billy Sunday? Pizza lobo? Parsons?! The food here is far superior and in several cases better priced. I'll definitely be back, and with more friends next time. It turns out that this restaurant has much more to offer than what meets the eye!!!

We came here for a nice outdoor patio dinner. You order inside and then they take it out to you when it's ready. The guy that took our order was very friendly and welcoming. He had such a frat natural personality, F&P is lucky to have someone like that on their team. We ordered wedge fries: A perfectly seasoned confit kennebecs with a side of giardiniera aioli. These were very tasty and tasted even better once you dipped them in their giardiniera aioli. Ribs, Like Wings: you get six crispy baby back ribs with a tasty white bbq sauce and topped with scallions. These ribs were crispy but still tender. They tasted so delicious on their own, but combined with the white bbq sauce, it gave it an extra flavor. Kind of wished they could give you more of that bbq sauce, but you shouldn't over do it, since the star of the show is the meat. Not the sauce. Flat & Point Burger: This burger was also tasty. It came with garlic aioli, a thick cut sliced tomato, lettuce and American cheese. The party was thick and cooked & seasoned perfectly. Definitely a must try. I will definitely be returning, especially to try their brisket which is only served on the weekends. Hopefully they expand their menu, so we can try a few other things.

I am excited to see so many more restaurants and other businesses opening in this part of Logan Square. I hope that this restaurant does well. I made a reservation for 2 people on a Friday night and arrived after 8pm. The restaurant was pretty busy, but got busier towards the end of our dinner. This isn't your stereotypical Chicago bbq restaurant. The focus at this restaurant seems to be on quality ingredients and innovative menu items.What we tried:Confit Fried Potatoes: Fried potatoes layered with truffles and seasoning. They are served with a homemade parmesan cream sauce. The potatoes had the right amount of crispiness and are worth trying.Burger (For Fall): I enjoyed the slight sweetness from the apple butter and the mix of toppings in general. The meat was seasoned well and was a good size. The burger does not come with fries or any sides, so you might want to order something with this if you are pretty hungry.Brisket: The brisket is amazing! It was so tender. The brisket came with a sauce that paired well with it. I only got to try a couple of pieces of the brisket, but I would likely order this next time.Meringue Apple Pie: I've never had an apple pie like this before. The meringue was not too heavy and the apples tasted extremely fresh.

I was very excited to try Flat and Point as it overall seems to have good reviews and is a Michelin Bib gourmad restaurant. My boyfriend and I each ordered the prixe fix menu, which is 55 dollars each. I thought the service here was really good, but there was more to be desired with the food.The starters were really delicious. I especially liked the pasta. However, my biggest issue was with the mains. The chicken was definitely on the drier side, maybe a bit over cooked? It was pretty average in flavor. The fries were really nice and crunchy and had had some kind of Cajun seasoning flavor, but I thought the brisket was a bit bland. I didn't know what to expect with the dessert box, but it makes sense that it is pastries and cookies. Dessert was fine, nothing spectacular but definitely not bad. It would have been nice if it was some kind of kind of dessert that was meant to be eaten there, but I honestly can't complain because that's how it is advertised! Overall, I was happy with the starters and would recommend if you're going here, skip the prixe fix as the mains aren't worth it.

Read about this place the other day & were in the area so decided to stop in and check it out. It smells smoky and delicious when you walk in.We started off with the ribs which were really delicious. Next time I would get the black pepper aioli on the side because I thought there was a little too much of it. But really good--we could have eaten another order.Next up - the burger. I ordered mine without the egg. Mine was super salty. I don't know if it was a seasoning error or what, but my first three bites were so salty that it ruined the burger for me. I understand that when a chef conceives a plate they are pulling together all the components to make a great bite. That being said, I should be able to eat a burger--even just the meat by itself and have it be enjoyable. My husband really enjoyed his burger. He LOVES burgers and thought this was a solid choice. So, this again makes me think perhaps mine was a one-off situation where the seasoning was a little heavy handed.The service was a little lax. We were the only ones in the restaurant for lunch and our rib plate sat on the table even after our burgers arrived. Since the ribs were so good and my husband enjoyed his burger, we'll likely be back for dinner to try the brisket.

This restaurant is known for its coal fire oven. We ordered the brisket and it was very good! The bread appetizer was yummy too. My little one ordered butter noodles which tasted fresh. The space is nice and casual. Caution: if you are a visual eater like me and are interested in checking out Flat & Point because of their food pics on Yelp... their menu changes. I could not order their delicious looking sandwiches because it wasn't on their menu anymore.

Found this place randomly and my god this is the best pork shoulder and salmon I've ever had. Definitely coming back!

What a cozy evening this was! They have a small menu, which is super easy to order from. The price point is great as well! We both enjoyed the burgers with fries, but first we enjoyed (sharing) the Cesar Wedge Salad! What a wonderful experience! Our front counter service person, Kevin, was an an absolute delight as well! Support local! Give these guys a try! You will be pleasantly surprised! It's cozy, good comfort food!
