Did you know Don Tommy has taco Tuesday. It is so yummy. They have a whole bunch of different kinds so far we've tried the fish chicken Carne Asada Carnitas and everyone of them are excellent.

10/10 burrito spot! Got the breakfast supreme burrito and it was perfect and everything that I want in a breakfast burrito! Salsa bar is awesome too! Super cute inside with lots of outdoor eating and some inside :) staff is kind and friendly, definitely coming back here to try other things

Solid bean and cheese burritos. That's all we got from this spot so that's all I can review. Parking was very difficult, even with just one person running in to grab the food. Circled the block a few times and picked them back up.

Okay this place was great, not your average taco shop! The homemade tortillas really make a difference and the tomatillo salsa was authentic. Carne asada was very tender and not dried out.

Ordered the chile relleno with carnitas and side of beans and rice. IT WAS $30. I couldn't believe it. It was good, yes. But not worth the price. She didn't tell us any other way to order it (?) maybe we were charged a la carte for each? I don't know but eeek. Not sure we will be coming back. Small spot but there is seating inside and outside. 8/10 for food, as for the price, not worth it for one burrito and two small sides.

The tortillas at this darling neighborhood taco shop cannot be beat. Try them and you'll forever be dreaming of them. You can order ahead via an app, or dine in/out at a few tables inside and on the sidewalk. They have freshly redone the outside and the small, clean inside includes a salsa bar with one of the best habanero salsas in the world. It's so fruity and fresh with just the right spice level. Everything on the menu is great but the breakfast tacos are my favorite. One is as huge as a burrito in any other San Diego taco shop and they are absolutely heavenly. The best. Don Tommy for President!

My boyfriend travels to San Diego often and always raves about craving a Don Tommy's Burritos, so when he heard I had a work trip in San Diego he told me I HAD to make a trip over. The restaurants exterior was so cute and eye catching with the little cactus mural and bright colors. It's a quick service type of establishment where you order at the counter, the interior is super small there's only one or two tables and a few tables on the sidewalk. If you have a big party or looking for a sit down place this wouldn't be a good fit but great for a quick bite or takeaway. The food here was amazing!!! they serve breakfast all day and have a variety of traditional and unique Mexican options. The food is so fresh it's hard to beat. I got the California Burrito which was delicious and a bit of a twist on a classic since it had french fries in the middle. Service was quick would highly recommend!

LOVE this place!!! I can't believe I've lived here my whole life without discovering this place. My boyfriend recently started going to the barbershop across the street in the last year and that's how we found it. Since then, we have probably eaten there 50 times. With so many Mexican food options, it's hard to find one we like so much more than the others...but this is it. We come here weekly and plan on continuing forever. Staff is great. Restaurant is small with few tables. We don't come for ambiance. Make sure you try their homemade tortillas. Wow!
