Had 2 beef combo. And let me tell you it was simple & good & fresh. The shells although I enjoy crunchy these were dangerously crunchy! Had to chew slowl & carefully to avoid cutting up the inside of mouth. My daughters got 4 rolled with Cheese & sour cream, bean & cheese with rice & 6 mini carne asada which they both thoroughly enjoyed. Everything was flavorful & correct as ordered. Service was attentive & he greeted & spoke to me about them having another location in the south bay off Palomar. Which I thought I had seen so I asked & it was confirmed. The inside is small & quaint about 4-5 tables & tvs to watch if interested & an area to self serve water. Located in in a busy strip mall in the Rolando/ College area off El Cajon Blvd & College Ave. I will say it was hood to revisit in person & not have any complaints. I'd say things as of this visit have improved to the status I recall from about 4years ago it was all good.

No option to select/add hot sauce on the doordash menu. It simply doesnt exist.I had to go back and check menu for hot sauce option as there was NO hot sauce included with our order. I felt a sense of panic as it started to sink in.....mexican food with NO salsa.Called restaurant to inquire about where to find sauce option on DD menu. I was informed there is no such option and they usually include it with every order. The girl stated she didnt know who packed my order as she was on break. I asked if she could locate employee who did and her response was, "what is it that you want us to do" ...with a little attitude...how about you add it to the DD menu so your staff can be reminded since apparently a reminder is necessary!!!! Food was mediocre.. I'm sure the salsa we didnt get could have improved the taste overall. We wont be back.

Stopped by here for a quick lunch to go. The space inside isn't that big and a bit messy, but most people get their food to-go as well. I ordered a California Surf burrito at the front, and waited for about 7-8 minutes before it was bagged up hot and fresh. There were sauces on the side, but the waiter also put some in the bag. It costs about $11 which was a pretty good price for the size of the burrito, it legit takes 2-3 meals before it could be finished. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the shrimp was fresh. I also liked that there weren't too many potatoes inside. I'd be down to come again and try some of the other burritos such as the Don Roman burrito.

They have a good amount of seating and a big menu. The cashier at the front was friendly and helped me right away. Only waited about 10 minutes for our order: a cheese enchilada combo and a California burrito. The burrito was mostly tortilla and the meat was very dry, unfortunately. I liked my enchiladas, but the rice was very dry and the beans did not have much flavor.

Have eaten here multiple times and just realized I have never left a review. I live nearby and this is my GO TO taco shop. I've called in to go orders, ordered via Uber eats, and dined inside, and everytime my food hits! The ladies in front are always super friendly and my order comes out quickly. Personal fave is the Classico Burrito!

Quesabirria and Campechana fries are too bombbb I always get them through Doordash, usually food isn't as good when you get it delivered but they've always been reliable. I always recommend Don Roman anytime someone asks for some good quesabirria

I asked the cashier about the burrito and torta carne asada. Supposed to get avo with the torta. .. guac with the burrito. Don't think the cook got the memo .. I'll let the picture explain what went inside the torta.

Love my local Mexican restaurant and don romans never disappoints! My fave is the surf and turf fries, second fave is Cali burrito. But honestly, can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Service is always quick and the plates are big portions, well worth the price point. The vibe is like a fast food sit down restaurant, very casual and a local favorite.

Don Roman is a solid spot for a burrito that I recently discovered through DoorDash delivery. I was pleased with my order and would definitely keep them in my rotation for future Mexican food cravings.While I haven't had the chance to visit the restaurant in person, I appreciate the convenience of being able to order delivery and still get a quality burrito. The flavors were on point, and the portion size was generous.
