Chocolate croissant and Nutella Mocha. Relaxing afternoon.
Don't let the menu fool you. Be sure to order the honey cinnamon latte (with almond milk).

I generally rely on this coffee chain to conduct quick coffee chats or casual meet-ups. This particular location in the loop is more spacious than even the Streeterville location. It has tables you can work at. I appreciate the friendliness of the staff and had a good reliable cuppa before my meeting time. I will admit it's a pricey option giving me some heart burn, but there aren't good alternatives in the neighborhood, especially meeting spots.

At its core, a coffee shop has to serve good coffee. This Dollop Coffee location fails to do so. Instead, what it offers is a moderately gorgeous interior with many seats, ideal for catching up with friends or finding a place to work or study. However, my matcha latte was extremely disappointing. For over $6.50, I received what was basically warmed milk with some green color. No latte art, over-frothed, bland. No logo on cup. It's hard to support coffee chains that are not Starbucks when the quality of drink depends on the store you are visiting (I have had pleasant experiences at other Dollop locations). For this price, I would personally recommend Sawada (also sources beans from Metropolis, Ipsento (also serves interesting latte flavors like Nutella), Philz, or Intelligentsia. Also, the bathroom here is absolutely disgusting. Never seen anything like it. I emailed Dollop corporate ~1 week ago re: my experience here, still have yet to hear back. Why have an online 'contact us' option if you're not going to respond?

I was craving good Chicago coffee that I can't find anywhere else. Dollop Coffee came highly reviewed on Yelp so I decided to check it out. I was in a rush so I ordered it online. Once we got there our drinks were ready to be picked up with a straw on top. The iced nutella mocha was amazing, and one of the best iced drinks I've had in awhile. The iced honey cinnamon latte was decent. I paired my drink with a coffee cake which was amazing as well. The vibes were your typical coffee place vibe. There wasn't too long of a line so I was able to order the coffee cake pretty quick. Will definitely keep this place in mind anytime I come to visit in the future.

Their coffee is always good and their cafes are niceplaces to work in but the caveat is that they close by 3pm in the loop. If you're a morning person then thedollop coffee shops will work for you!

My office was freaking cold. (In May!!) And since I work a block or two from Dollop I decided picking up a chai to warm my bones. Their menu had some interesting specials when I was in, but I'm not a coffee drinker so I didn't partake. But it's cool they have things more than just the standard drinks. The place is big. Surprisingly so, to me, and there were some folks hanging out, doing work or whatnot. It was easy to socially distance when I was there.Chai was ok. Employees weren't terribly friendly but were efficient. They have some really beautiful plants hanging in the windows!

There are so few cute downtown coffee shops and this is one of them. They have a nice antique building feel with enough space to sit and relax, unlike most coffee shops post-pandemic. They have a nice array of interesting flavor mixes for the coffee, I had a lavendar concoction which was very nice. They have some nice bakery items as well as breakfast and donuts. If only their hours weren't so limited I would be here many afternoons and evenings!.

Chill coffee spot in the loop. Great hipster coffee. Good selection of pastries. Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms. Usually no shady people inside, despite its proximity to that sketchy park on State street, north of the library. Good spot for studying, reading, or catching up. Glad it survived pandemic.

Great coffee with a relaxing atmosphere. I was a little surprised by how not-so-busy they were when I stopped by.

Another good place for coffee. Dollop is a small cafe along Dearborn. It mainly has coffee drinks but there's also bagels and pastries. Fairly okay prices considering the location and how they would be able to take advantage of office workers looking for something convenient in the morning. The inside has some comfortable couches and a few outlets. It has a good choice of drinks. Many things to get any time of the year, chilled and hot. There's often a seasonal menu along with their regular stuff. Coffee here seems like it's epic. This gives a pretty big jolt so maybe think again if you're ordering a large. Last time here it was pretty warm so I got a cold brew. They had some seasonal specials. I had a Babe On Rocks. It's $5 for the regular size. This is a cold brew with oat milk and spice. Among the food here are bagels and donuts. There's not a whole lot to choose from. I usually get a bagel. It's $3.25 for most. They have a pretty limited selection of toppings. Butter, cream cheese, and jelly. The bagel selection is pretty small too. Clearly they're more focused on brewing coffee. It has some things to eat but nothing that makes a meal. The good thing is the coffee is the best around so they know what works.

After attempting to order a lavender latte (they were out of the syrup), then a cardamom latte (also out of that syrup), I settled on the Salted Caramel latte. It was bland and honestly tasted like something out of a QuickTrip coffee machine. I also ordered a Rosemary Honey pastry, which was delicious! Despite the lackluster coffee, the service was good and the two female baristas that I interacted with were very friendly and welcoming! They do not accept cash, which I've noticed more and more businesses doing and I don't like it one bit. It's discriminatory. What if I'm a person that for one reason or another is unable to obtain a credit or debit card but I have cash and want a hot cup of coffee? You won't accept my business because of my socioeconomic status, despite me actually having money to pay for your product and service? I urge businesses to stop with the "No Cash" thing. WE ARE NOT ROBOTS, stop trying to digitize every single thing. And again, empathize with those that may not have plastic to pay for things, but have the cash.I would not return to this cafe based on my experience.
