This is the second location of the Dolche Mexifood business with the first being a cafe in Chula Vista after it relocated from Solana Beach. The owners took over a former Mexican restaurant on this busy strip of Broadway in Lemon Grove. There were free diagonal parking spots all along this street which was a bonus. The inside was divided into two dining areas with a back room that had six tables while the front was similar to that in capacity.Breakfast and lunch were served throughout the operating hours of 8 am to 2 pm. The spiral-bound menu was voluminous with several pages of choices. I only took photos of the shortened, two-page breakfast menu because the regular combined version was too large. I ordered one of the six savory crepes (chicken mole) for my meal and then later added a horchata aguas frescas for a beverage. The crepe dough was filled with shredded chicken meat and topped with a mole sauce and cotija cheese. A green salad with balsamic vinaigrette came as a side on the plate. The dish had a good flavor to it as the mole was mildly spicy. The horchata was served in a tall container with edible flowers added which made it the most fragrant agua fresca I have ever drank. For the serving size and quality of my food, the lunch I had at Dolche Mexifood Restaurant was at a four star level.

You know when you see something you really like and really want on a menu the day before, and you are like very excited about having it the next day, and then when you arrive to have it first thing in the morning, you are told they don't have it. You know that level of disappointment? Well, that's exactly how I felt when I visited this new eatery in Lemon Grove.I came in for a heaping bowl of albondigas soup because of its availability on Saturday and Sundays. When I was told that it had not been made yet, my heart sank, and I was forced to order something I really didn't want at the moment because I was already there. I had the Sunny Bowl, which was a yougurt bowl with sliced bananas, strawberries, blue berries, and some granola for $11.95. The yogurt bowl was okay. It came with a good amount of slice bananas and berries, but it definitely needed more granola. Its quantity was just splashing on top. Also, it needed just something more, like perhaps hemp seeds, almonds, and even a nice light drizzle of organic agave or honey. That would have been grand. The place offers inside seating only and is very casual. Service is friendly enough but could be more welcoming when someone first arrives.

This place is absolutely delicious! Thoroughly enjoyed my fresh squeezed orange juice and chilaquiles. Very cute and chic atmosphere. The service was incredibly attentive and kind. So thankful to have this local option in our small town! We will definitely be coming back.

I have to say I was excited when this place showed up but was quickly disappointed. Went for lunch and got the enchiladas, they were horrible. Chicken was greasy, no sauce. Friend got locks and they looked gray in color. In my opinion the menu is too big and they need to find a few good things to serve because this place won't survive otherwise. Won't return.

Excellent!! Great service and great food! I ordered the Jefes breakfast and it was fire. Especially the omelette. My kids loved their Dolce breakfast too. My kids loved the crepes and the French toast. The Horchata is humongous, I ordered one for my kids to share and they still didn't finish it. We'll definitely be back.

Delicious chilaquiles! They were so crunchy and flavorful! The restaurant itself is so pretty and the customer service was amazing too! Also purchased the cafe de olla which was very good too! Can't wait to come back to try more of their food items

Our breakfast was delicious. My omelette was incredibly fluffy and filled with well seasoned vegetables. My husband got the churro French toast and have it a 10/10. The best part was the cafe de olla. Would highly recommend.

Went here today with my friends and we all loved the food so much! I had the "El Patron" plate. It was so good and rich and full of flavor. The service was excellent too, it made my experience even better! I loved the vibrant energy of the place and how fun and fresh the area felt. I was also surprised to hear that they just opened a few days ago! It felt so put together and established. I will definitely be back very soon. I also heard they have a location in Chula Vista so I will be sure to go when I am in the area!
