Is a hot dog a taco? Is a taco a sandwich? Is a hot dog a sandwich!?!Hot dog and tacos are not sandwiches, okay? Fight me on this.My Yelp homie in Las Vegas, Chris V. (go add him!) had sent me an Instagram post that I can get a free BOGO sub at Firehouse for having the Name of the Day. I had fully planned on getting a tasty sub but as soon as I got out of the car, the tantalizing smell of grilled meats from Dogos Y Tacos El Gordo next door had me skipping into their establishment instead. No regrets.Since it was also Taco Tuesday, they had their deals going on. I ordered the Tacos Al Pastor Combo Plate and a side of papa loka. The al pastor tacos were tasty and had a good marinade but I don't believe it was spit-grilled. They also didn't include pineapple. Nonetheless, I was still happy with the tacos. They had generously packed a bunch of cabbage, cilantro and onion, and some other traditional fixings. As for the papa loka, while good, I don't think I'd reorder it again.Come support small and local! This is a great spot to grab a quick bite. They have some seating inside but I wouldn't make this place a hangout for a group or anything.

Visiting mesa for a few days and we are so glad we found this place. Great service and better food. Can't go wrong with a Vampiro my wife got the papa loka. The hot dogs are delicious!

Supporting local business! It's a tiny taco shop in a strip mall. Got seated and ordered the hot dog, asada and pastor tacos with Mexican coke. Loved the food here. More so liked the idea of having plastic cover the food basket to avoid mess. They gave us plenty of sides- sauce/toppings for the taco. The ladies treated us with a kind smile. They had special going on for burritos but it was going too much food for us 2.

LOVE the food! We cater weekly at our office and this is by far the company favorite!! Amazing food and amazing staff/owners. Truly a gem!

Food is delicious and good priced. I will definitely comr back, the burritos are massive and the dogos are so yummy

Hidden gem!! I just tried this restaurant for lunch today and will definitely be back. I got the fries with Carnitas which was so good. You can also get them with carne asada, chicken, or al pastor. The portion was very generous, fries were cooked to order, and it came with cheese, pico de gallo, crema, avacado salsa, picked jalapeños, and cotija cheese. Best Mexican fries I've ever had! Will update once I've tried the other menu items.

I had the shrimp taco on a corn tortilla which was not very flavorful. The only flavoring was the cabbage, cilantro, onion, and some kind of salsa, and it was still pretty bland. Shrimp was fried and battered and also bland. Shrimp was also fried with the tail on so I had to remove tail from my mouth as I ate. Beans were not great. Customer service was great, but food was not very good.

The papa loka is fantastic. Great food and great service!! Definitely a go to in my household! Also great tacos y breakfast burritos, everything I've tried is delicious

The hot dogs are amazing! And the service is great! Never been a hot dog person but the way the make them is great, I go there a lot.

Was craving tacos and decided to give this place a try. The restaurant was supper clean and staff was very friendly. I order the El Gordo special to go. They were supper fast, had my order within 5min. Omg let me tell you. This is one of the best tacos iv ever had. It has ALOT of meat. The carna was very flavorful and tender. The chili's has the perfect amount of spice. There red salsa was also verry good. Will definitely be back.
