Dog House Grill

Great spot to get food after hitting the bars on wells. Very reasonably priced and good combo meals. I have had the hot dogs there as well as the gyro, both hit the spot.This is really a grab and go spot. I wouldn't consider it a date night spot unless your looking for a dive kind of night to enjoy some hand foods. Definitely check it out tho

Everything could improve couldn't understand us didn't get half our food place is not up to code and he won't give us a refund or the food

Tacos are good. Service is fast. Food is cheap. What you would expect. Inside is clean and basic.

Fast food whether it's Vienna sausage or some vegetarian item such as a burrito. It's not fancy but you won't have to wait a long time. Dog House Grill is one of the cheapest places in Old Town, so they have that going. Go here to save some, especially with all the hipster places around it. There's hot dogs, but also burritos and Mexican. Came in for a lunch. It's a small place. There's only a few tables. Last time it was pretty quiet in here, so it wasn't busy and we got our food within a few minutes. This is best known for the Vienna hot dogs, but it has more than that. Each of us got a Vegetarian Burrito. It's about $8 for a pretty big one. Good lunch. These were enough the last time. Got to say this place is bare bones. It's a small diner with a few seats. The place is open late, so you can get some late night grub or something, and if not getting sausage there's a few things for vegetarians.

Hot dogs on wells street is just a must... they're open late night, so after bar hopping it's just amazing. Not only do they have hotdogs but they have so much other stuff, and their carne asada tacos were actually quite delicious! Is the interior kind of ugly? Yes, yes it is. But that's part of the vibe :) also, it's all pretty cheap food!

The food didn't really taste like much but grease. It's one of the few quick options conveniently located close to our apartments beside the French bakery which no surprise was packed on Sunday. So we were forced to come here. I got a veggie burrito and it was so bland and so wet I couldn't even eat it. My bf got a chicken burrito and it was still under seasoned. According to him that's a solid 2 so that's what I'm giving. I wouldn't go there again. It's just not my cup of tea. I like spices and different textures and I definitely have an idea of how I would like my burrito to taste and it's not this.

The exterior leaves a lot to be desired, but I was dying of hunger and already in the area so I gave it a chance. They have a large variety of items so there's something for everybody. However, we were disappointed overall. I ended up paying $25 for four items which felt extremely steep considering the quality. I should've known i made a mistake, when I watched her microwave my cheddar fries. If you're looking for a Chicago dog or gyro, recommend passing unless you're looking for mediocre drunken bar food. I should note there was only one employee I was aware of taking orders and preparing food, so this could be out of the norm but I was also the only customer.

If you are hankering for an "authentic" Chicago Dog-this is an easy place to eat in or take out to enjoy at nearby Lincoln Park or at North Avenue Beach/Waterfront.Authentic onion, sports peppers, neon relish, tomatoes, pickle spear, mustard and of course the Vienna Hot Dog...steamed or charred on a poppyseed bun......

first off I will say that my food at dog house grill was good... at the time. the mozz sticks had an amazing cheese pull and the hot dog had an incredible crunch. however, after I finished my meal it all went downhill from there. on the wall of the booth I discovered ants crawling EVERYWHERE (see photo attached). then, this morning i woke up at 6:30 am with urgent diarrhea and have not stopped since (it's noon). very disappointed...

good food if they could read a ticket right. ordered online and got no drink no soup not the right stuff on my dog and no refund
