I stopped by with a friend and the space is very cute. The folks working were so helpful and kind. Great selection of wine and I appreciated the small bites they sold to go with the wine. We selected a bottle that was delicious. The reason I am deducting a star is that we enjoyed our bottle on the patio and they charged us a corkage fee. For a bottle we purchased there. I thought this was very odd and for a minute we thought about bailing entirely. But we sucked it up and paid it. For this reason, I'm hesitant to return.

What a great new addition to Phinney! This is such a lovely little bottle shop / tasting room. They have a wonderful eclectic selection of wines from all over the globe - mostly Italy, France and WA from what I saw. They also have some great CA wines -- I saw a few Turley wines on their shelves.I was able to taste a French white from Terradora Dipaolo "Greco Di Tufo" and their "2022 Dolcetto Rose" from their own label, The Orcas Project. I bought them both. Paola was unbelievably nice, fun, knowledgeable, and approachable. They offer tastings and wine by the glass and they have a sweet little outdoor patio that I plan on spending some time at when I'm in next. They also have a wine club.I'll be back - I'm intrigued by their diverse offering and I can't wait to try more of their proprietary wines!

What a great girls night out spot! I went with my friend and we enjoyed some amazing wine & the service from Paola was above & beyond. It is a small spot but very cute & cozy. We got lucky that there were carolers outside the day we went, which made for an even more cheerful visit. They also offer cheeses, cured meats, and chips as snacks. You can choose to buy a bottle, glass, or do a flight. We decided to go with the flight, which was a variety of white & red. They also had a sparking wine that you could purchase by the glass. I can't wait to visit Doe Bay again soon! Next time I will get a picture because their bottles with Forrest animals are just the cutest!

Adorable local wine shop. You can grab wine by the glass and check out their wall of locally sourced wines. I bought a bottle of Grenache rose from the Orcas Project, which is a winemaker collective that creates wines exclusively for this shop. It was so delicious and the very kind staff person let me try it first. I can't wait to come back!

Came here last Friday with some friends and really enjoyed my experience. Tried an orange wine for the first time and the hostess was super knowledgeable about which wines to try! The hosts were consistently checking in with us and we felt very welcomed. Excited to come back

Great wine selection, and a cute space. This tasting room has WiFi and plenty of seats to spend extended periods of time. In addition to some higher quality and locally sourced wine, this space has canned fish, crackers, and Greek dips in the fridge. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Great experience!

I have a weakness for wine tastings ever since getting an impromptu education while in France and having to help create desserts for wine flights...yes, another lifetime ago.I happen to visit another soft opening in the same building when I noticed that Doe Bay Wine Company was in the same mode (7/14/23). A pleasant retail shop that has seating in a shared courtyard with overhead music. They feature beer, cider, saké, and wine. Nice to add to your collection, stop by for a dinner party gift, or for an al fresco picnic. Friendly, welcoming shop staff. I had to exercise restraint because I am a long time member with another wine shop in Ravenna. And had to halt my membership with another Bainbridge Island winery! Their Orcas Project allows wine tasting by the glass or flight. Great way for meetups, sample before commiting to a bottle or case. Got my eye on some merlot. However, Doe Bay Wine Company offers a pleasant neighborhood spot around the corner from the main thoroughfare. And for me, a lot closer than Doe Bay on Orcas Island, lol. They share the corner location at this time with Ben's Bread and Holy Mountain Brewery. A nice addition to other Phinney Ridge spots like Portalis, Chez Phinney, and Drink Books. This is still a work in progress with ongoing construction with forthcoming, Lioness.
