District 1 Banh Mi & Bar

The noodle bowls are so good! I've only had takeout from here but it's always a hit. Inside is split into a small dining area and bar/lounge. Simple, comforting food great for a late night bite.

Surprising find outside the major cities. Fun little joint with a mix of pool tables and what looks like a good joint for nightly events. The facilities was pretty clean until an aggressive fly kept trying to get to my food.I ordered a bo kho, chef's special. For the location, the food is decent but I like the soup texture a little thicker and the taste was not authentic enough for me. I enjoyed the carrot decor, the soft meat, and the bread was perfectly crunchy. The presentation looks great! Although the bowl looks small, it was a good size. Loved the little touches of the restaraunt decor. I knocked another star down because a bigger group that ordered after me got all their food served first, albeit sandwiches, and the server didn't offer me any water as a single customer. If I'm in the area again, I'll consider trying their drinks and sandwich.

We were headed up from Portland around 4 PM and wanted to grab some sandwiches so we could eat at the top of our hike on the next morning. Walking in, it was a very unique setting for a Vietnamese sub. It's situated in a bar. The woman was kind and helpful. We kept it in the bags overnight and they held up well for our hike! Disclaimer that I was really hungry when we had it! It was very good, but I think I wish there were more filling. They also had a good amount of pate on the bread! I'd recommend it!

4stars for grilled pork sandwich. Crunchy soft baguette. Flavorful grilled pork. $74 stars for pork chop plate. Nice seasoning pork. $132.5 stars. Green tea bubble. The tea was ok. They put very little bubble on the drink. The bubble was too soft.

My husband discovered this restaurant/bar whilst I was out on vacation. He wanted to share his find so on Friday night Nov. 11, 2022 we went over to check it out. So glad he brought me there. This little gem is in central Marysville, WA just off of State Street in a little strip mall just north of the Fred Meyer. It falls in near a 7/11 and another Asian restaurant.We went around 7 PM and had no issues finding a place to sit. District 1 Ban Mi Bar is split into two establishments.There is a sports bar on one side with pool tables and dart boards. The other side is the unassuming restaurants Banh Mi & Bar. Very nice lady took our order. It was my first time at the location so I asked if I had made a good choice, she agreed I had. I chose the Noodle Salad Bowl with a sweet marinated pork and egg roll. My husband had a Pork Bahn Mi Sandwich with egg. The food took less than 10 minutes to arrive. What an amazing surprise that was brought to our table. My noodle salad bowl looked so fresh. It had vegetables some carrots, cucumbers, and lettuce. The cucumbers and carrots tasted slightly pickled and sweet. Perfect for the dish. The Asian vermicelli noodles were freshly cooked, not mushy at all, just very lovely. The pork was marinated similar to teriyaki but better. It was just a great dish all around.My husband ordered the Grilled Pork Ban Mi Sandwich with a fried egg sandwich. The bread was fresh, with fresh vegetables, jalapeños, grilled pork and a fried egg. I didn't have this but my husband said it is one of the best Ban Mi sandwiches he has had.We also ordered Cha'gio as an appetizer.Everything was fresh. Very light and crispy and yummy!We didn't go over to the sports bar, but they have a full bar, the pool tables and dart boards. The dart boards were open. The pool tables were full. What a gem in the area.We will be going back! Our new favorite place!

Normally we order to go,But today we decided to dine in. The young lady cashier/server could use more training. She didn't give or offer if we wanted any water or drinks.She could be more friendly or try to smile at customers. She didn't check if we needed anything else while we're eating. The food was good tho and we got mango bubble tea which was pretty good . We also got taro bubble tea but it was bland tasting so i asked them to remake it and they did it was better. We ordered garlic fries (my lil kid liked it) Grilled pork rice plates, and grilled pork banh mi.

Good banh mi!! The only banh mi in the area LOL. Felt very small business and friendly vibes. The banh mi is cut in halves which is nice. Only thing is that half way eating one of the sandwiches I found a little hair which was but the other sandwiches were super yummy. Will be back again and hopefully everything will go smoother

We randomly found this place on the way back from Vancouver to Seattle.Pretty good Banh mi! We have tried many Banh mi places in WA but this is one of the bests we had so far.Foods came out within 5 mins of ordering. Foods were fresh and tasty.

The good part is they use fresh bread and the right buns...Banh Mi Sandwiches. the pork belly has no flavor but it was hard to tell with the 5 small slices of meat and the 5 sprigs of cilantro. I was so excited to try it and well not again.I was quite disapointed. First time there and I mentioned that to the hostess and she couldn't care less. I asked a couple of questions and I was clearly wasting her time. The boba tea was ok.

I had Chef special and rice with pork chop Togo. They are great. Good portion and are delicious. Must say the value of money is 5/5. Hard to find a delicious full dish for $12/$13 anywhere anymore. The quality /taste is 5/5 as well. I vote this to be the best non-pho, Vietnamese food in Marysville.
